Jesus. Thank you for this. I was 13, a young kid in France when I discovered them. That was 40 years ago. And I am still listening to the same two albums... Incredible stuff.
16 year old kid on a farm close to Lawrence Kansas I would tune in KJHK from The University of Kansas when the weather was good and one night laying in bed on came their version of "Ring of Fire" blew my little brain ! when Stan left WOV should have packed it in 😊
Everybody who experienced this incredible performance were so fortunate, as this Wall of Voodoo lineup was short- lived, breaking up in late '83. The best Live version of "Call Of the West" that I've seen!..
absolutely amazing band...stan ridgway legendary vocalist like johnny cash delivery with high voice and marc moreland what a legend guitarist...he made a lot of weird movements with his jaw and mouth...contortions but gee the man was coming out with anthems!!!
@AceOne: Pretty good performance. Too bad they get cut off camera towards the end of their last song. The crowd was starting to get into them by the second song and then got really into them by the end of this set. I wonder if they did more than three songs during this show.
RIP Joe Nanini my all time favorite "drummer"

Stan has about 9-10 solo albums and they are amazing! His sound has really evolved over the years and it’s all fantastic.
@@frankengels7843 Right! 🙂
@@sciencecomedianvery unique...his vocal was like a high pitched johnny cash and singing about western themes to new wave music
Stan Ridgway: THE BEST looking and MOST talented man to ever emerge from the Central Valley of California! 🥰🥰

I see them a few times very unique band
fantastic performance. wall of voodoo were among the best bands in rock history. And their lyrics, in my opinion, are literature.
Perfect. The most unrecognised band that I kinda wish remained unknown. Shh.
Came home from work , switched on the TV to watch the Tube and these guys blew my mind .
Ordered their album from my music shop the day after .
At their peak!❤

I was a metal guitarist back then and doing studio work but I loved these guys great song thanks !😊
Una delle migliori band americane degli anni 80, un suono originale e con i testi di Stan Ridgeway ad abbellire il tutto, super!
Nice to hear Marc's guitar being further up front than the studio version.
Fantastic!
happy Newcastle....great performance
Another great post 👍
As long as Stan is there,I'm in ...and out...and upside down..woof!
I guess that will wait till tomorrow that's a pretty good idea
@@claysnyder7300 I'm watching him and you are watching me.
Wall of voodoo and Huey Lewis and the News can't get any better than that

im sure they were concerned with whether the prop tv audience was into them
Possibile, chiedo a tutti, che sul Tubo non esista un buon video-concerto, ben registrato, di questo bellissimo gruppo? Suvvia, pubblicatelo!
Que bueno me recuerda junkolandia a finales de los setenta
Good morning.
Esserci
I think .
Interesting on how they came up with the Name for this.
Very good band.
Never heard these other songs. Tight performance. What's up with that symbol?
