I still think there are comps that exclude ranger that are top meta. I mean, Wiz - Cleric - Fighter is pretty unbeatable geared and played correctly. We can still invis to gap close on a rat ranger. Just got to change focus on killing ranger fast and early. Which is easy considering they are squishy.

I think a change that doesn't completely gut Rangers would be to reduce the slow from getting shot by arrows or even remove the slow entirely if it's not to the legs. It's absurd that getting shot by a ranger is a more powerful slow than literal ice magic. I think keeping their damage high if they land their shots is fine, but it should be harder to land consistent shots and be easier to close the distance since the move speed cap change.
I mean, I hated buff ball. It was super unfun on the receiving end getting rushed so hard, but I also hate rangers.. I feel like anytime where 3 of the same class is meta is bad for the game. The whole player base being rangers sounds super unfun to me lol. I like the coordination and setup for making something like buff ball work, but it was just too damn strong and efficient, so it needed the nerf. I just hope this ranger meta doesn't last long lol
Rangers are the Warlock kryptonite so cross them off the list too. They need re-work casting and movement so that it's more mobile. Or nerf Rangers ability to just move and shoot so rapidly. Add arrow Reload was barely a scratch to the surface.
