What a way to open the game. I love the look of pain Shepherd has when he sees the kid die that quickly turns to steely determination. Male Shep just hits different for me. Reapers pissed off the wrong home boy.
I've played a lot of tear jerker games in my time, but nothing hits as hard as this scene. Watching that small Reaper take out the shuttles then go back to massacring the city, then that massive Reaper lands, the music is perfect and the scene is heartbreaking.
The Normandy goddamn stood with at least 3 Reapers in close proximity, and none of them picked it up and shot it for being a big-ass juicy target you can't miss. That stealth drive, if it was the cause, is some serious shit.
some people think its the reaper IFF they have installed on the Normandy that basically makes it show up as a friendly to reapers as long as they don't start blasting away at them
Harbinger hearing Normandy escaped again by messing with the IFF: "They can't keep getting away with it!" Also Harbinger: totally did not leave a single scratch in Normandy in the a last mission
The worst thing about the kid's death is it wasn't quick. His shuttle wasn't immediately destroyed so he had a few extra seconds of terror during the crash unlike the other Kodiak which was destroyed right off the bat.
I think it has something to do with a inevitability and that crushing reality. you know what was going to happen before it did but you held hope something else would. It grips the heart and crushes it by making shepherd watch and have that look of pain at seeing it happen
This scene lives rent free in my head

This scene always makes me cry. The music is just so sad.

That stealth system is basically a negative fridge and wouldn't be of much use outside of space.

The Normandy can still be visibly spotted by someone looking out of a window or looking up but is invisible to sensors.

That scene with the kid destroyed me when I first saw it. I still don't fully know why

Because you're human
Till this day, nothing beat this opening scene🔥🔥
Thanks BioWare for creating PEAK!
I discover this saga of vidéo games this year and introductions of ME 2 and 3 are great moments in vidéos games. So powerfull !
mass effect 4 has a great burden on it's back
I chose to ignore Andromeda, even bioware wants to pretend it didn't exist.
Cuando juge por primera vez este juego me senti vacio al ver como la humanidad caia tan rapido sin oportunidad de hacer algo contra los cegadores
You see the only problem is that Kadin is there
