The reason I ultimately went with this phone instead of the others is because Metro gave me an $80 off, so I am going to get the phone for about $202 which puts it spec wise above everything else in the market

Just my opinion but people obsess too much about the 90 and 120 hertz displays. While they are nice to have, I’d much rather get a 60 hertz OLED display than a 90 hertz LCD display. Plus it saves on battery life. I think OnePlus made a smart move focusing on the basics. Great display, great battery life, good performance, decent cameras, fast charging and nice build quality. And most importantly a really great price. So when you put it in context, you really get an excellent deal and overall value with this device. Looks like the only downsides for me are only one OS update and it is only available on one carrier. Otherwise this may be the best budget phone I’ve seen.
@@adriannavarro388 battery life was actually pretty good on it. I used it mostly on 5g and I was getting about 6 hours or slightly over of screen on time. But I wound up sending mine back because the call quality was horrible. And at times I could call out on my phone. It was quite a shame, because I loved most everything else about it. But I need my phone to work as a phone lol 😂

i got this phone yesterday adding a line for 30dls at tmobile, and while we were getting it, the salesperson told me i qualified for another free line with free phone so i walked out with 2 free phones yesterday :) picked this one for me and my daughter was happy getting the moto stylus 5g 2022, i know is not the best phones out there but for free we cant complain, we love the phones !

Got it for free with a switch to Metro , i love it so much i know I'll be sad when I upgrade when it doesn't update anymore. Def brought me into the oneplus family
I'm not against used phones (its better in many cases) but many reviewers don't acknowledge the scams that are out there when buying used. From stolen phones to phones that aren't yet paid off. Someone can sell you a phone you put your SIM in and it works so you think you're in the clear then boom they report the phone stolen, file a claim with their provider they get a replacement phone, keep your money and you're stuck with a phone that only works on Wi-Fi. If buying used I recommend Amazon renewed or Backmarket. Still a little risk as far as quality (though both have return/exchange options) but much less of a gamble. You can also skip the headaches and go with a new phone like this; hassle free and with a warranty.
That's why you don't use shady ass sites. Swappa confirms emir and makes sure its not being paid on. You have zero chance of that happening. Been buying phones off that site for like 7 years. never once had a phone that wasn't unlocked or paid off completely. there are plenty of sites that you don't get ripped off.
I buy a lot of phones on Facebook. The main thing you need to do is meet at a carrier location (T-Mobile, etc) and ensure the phone is paid off and not blacklisted. I've never had an issue doing so. I've bought from Amazon and Swappa as well with no issues either.
I'm a Tmobile customer and I went to a metro celular store which is by t-mobile because I really want this phone and they told me that their Nord N20 was a locked phone......only able to be used by metro customers. Then the sales rep tested the phone with my sim card and was able to make or recieve calls and text also. Then he told me that within about 3 or 4 months from now, I won't be able to use it because it will only be able to be used by metro customers only. Is this true? 🤔
Great video! Thorough and concise. I like how you mention the downsides but also set realistic expectations considering it's a budget device and not a flagship. Really considering this phone but can't decide between this one and the Motorola One 5G Ace.
I have the ace phone on t mobile and I hardly ever got 5G. Also' ace charges slow 15watts. Also don't like how it felt in my hand. Performance wasn't to good either. So I bought this n20 5G and I have perfect connection and speed. Totally worth it I'd buy it over the ace any day.

Let's be honest for a moment. The n10 5G actually offers more. Yes no OLED screen but a great looking IPS 90hrz screen. Stereo speaker. And then everything else the N20 has. So yeah u really need to decide if u like mono speaker and OLED but 60hrz vs 90hrz IPS and Stereo speaker. The rest is pretty much the same.

Also does the screen won't get burn in as OLED screen can get. And i personally take stereo speakers 90hrz 4K video recording over OLED 60hrz mono speakers 1080 video recording and miniscule speed improvement and charging improvement. The charging is like 32 vs 35 and snapdragon 690 vs 692. Wow like i said not worth it u just don't get as much of complete package with the N20.
Factor in price though. The N10 launched in the US on T-Mobile at $349. This is $282, about $70 cheaper. Not really a downgrade you just get what you pay for. I do agree that the N10 is a better phone by a hair but these phones are equal in value due to their slight price difference at launch
$70 on Metro with a switch, debating about it seeing how the only free phone they have when you switch that seems "decent" is the Nokia X100 and the Moto Stylus 5G
@@BobbyTheDogUSA it's not bad, I'm coming from the Moto G7 power so it's a big upgrade. I haven't had the chance to take photos with it yet but if you got a good eye for it, you can take good pictures with just about anything so I'm not 100% worried unless it's a hot mess. Just as a heads up OnePlus is only doing one major os upgrade for it, I'm not sure if it'll be Android 12 or the next one tho. I'm still waiting for it, unless it got it already.

Android 11 because their android oxygen was buggy has issues do they decided to rather put their stable bug free software. I appreciate that really i take stable fast software over buggy slow software.
The monochrome sensor is going to help bring in more light. Tech reviewers have got to stop dogging the monochrome sensor by misrepresenting the purpose it serves

The N10 is better then the N20 in almost everything.. N10 4 video recording. Stereo speakers. IPS 90hrz. Now let's look what the N20 has better and what it misses. N20 OLED 60hrz. Mono speakers. 1080 video recording. N20 slightly faster charging 30vs33 i believe and snapdragon 690 vs 695. U really get less with the N20 for slightly more speed that is miniscule and slightly faster charging. But u lose stereo speaker 4K video and 90hrz. Even so the N10 is IPS 90hrz it looks great and IPS u never have to worry of screen burn in. So N10 over N20 always the N10 just has more and is more complete then the N20. The N20 is a downgrade sacrifices to many things.

Half the price and 1/3 the performance lol. Idk what's wrong with the US phone market but $286 for this phone is very expensive and it is 100% not the best. SHAME on OnePlus for cheaping out and giving the US a way inferior phone for the same price as the CE2. The rest of the world gets 65w charging, 90hz screen, and a faster processor for the same price as the N20. The US does not get ANY good Midrange phones. Edit: Everyone is oblivious and happy about the phone when they don't know that $300 for this kind of specs is horrible value. Other Chinese brands are having SD695, a glass back and high refresh for the low $200 mark, and by $300 you can get 60+ W charging, 120hz oled, and higher powered Dimensity or SD chipsets.
I am leaving this message for anyone here, including the uploader, who may know what's happening: (1st issue) Sometimes, when I receive a text message, the message appears at the top of all my messages. This forces me to scroll all the way to the top just to read the entire message. Also, it's indicating that it was received in December of 1969. (2nd issue) In my car, I have the option to set the 4 most important contacts on the main screen and everytime I start my car, the contacts are erased and I end up having to re-store those contacts over and over again. Never had a problem with other phones except this one. Can someone let me know what could be occurring and if it's happened to you as well?? Thanks
I mean for $282 you could get some nice older phones from a couple of years ago that would outperfrom this in almost every department. Like pixel 5 for example. So generally a bad deal i would say.

I work in a phone store and I recommend Motorola stylus 5g over ace 5g but one plus is an amazing phone brand

I know the purpose it serves. On a $282 phone, it’s there just to say it has a triple camera setup to sound more flashy.

Better cameras and OLED 120hrz and waterproof? That's the Samsung A53.
And the a53 gets more update, comes with android 12 with gorilla glass 5 screen.
