- 8 Uncommon Things Only Sigma Males Like. "Have you ever wondered why some men prefer solitude over socializing? Why they seem to operate on a different wavelength altogether?"
In the complex world of social dynamics, we often hear about Alpha and Beta males, each with their distinct characteristics and behaviors. But there's another category that's less talked about but equally intriguing - the Sigma males.
These are the lone wolves, the introverted mavericks who don't conform to societal norms. They walk to the beat of their own drum, often misunderstood due to their unique preferences and behaviors.
Sigma males are enigmatic, operating on a different plane from the rest of us. They don't seek the limelight like Alphas, nor do they seek validation like Betas. They are comfortable in their own skin, and that's what sets them apart.
In this exploration, we are going to delve into the eight uncommon things that only Sigma males like.

If you are a man and a Sigma male then you are a wolf . We eat chipmunks ✌️
It is true that we are not generally "antisocial," LOL! But, the word you are looking for is "asocial," which means avoiding social interactions. "Antisocial" interactions are generally accompanied with a weapon.
I like the video, but I could do without all the weird spastic dancing. A Sigma would never do that crap. Seems out of place.
For 59 years, I have always thought that I was "wired a little different"... Turns out...
I am exactly that.
Nice to know that there are some others that are like me.
Not a lot, but a few.
Nope you're not sigma. Youre making the mistake of thinking youre special.
@@hmq9052 ... no one said anything about being special.... check the text of the post. I believe that is reads "different".
@@scottmay31 I didn't say unique. But I did say special.
Me and MY Brother! I am Literally everything mentioned even More than my older brother. at 59 I never thought I was strange, just different than all these BLIND people around me.
@@davefellhoelter1343 Delusions of grandeur
Im not antisocial.... I'm pro solitude! But i do like the term "selectively social"
agreed, i've not heard it phrased like that but it resonated with me as well
I describe it as "anti-social, pro-tribe". Irritated in general by the world at large, but will give the shirt off my back for my close friends and family.
@@ws-ss8ksvery much so and nicely described
Yep, selectively social is brilliant, but then there’s family and spouses famil and friends, ARGHhhhhhh
asocial (non social) are not antisocial (against social)
One could avoid socialization, the other it is destructive against society.
I love that there is finally a name for this type of person.
When the whole Alpha-Beta thing came about, I kept thinking of my spouse not fitting either category. He's probably the strongest guy I know, but he doesn't need to prove it. He avoids confrontation or mediates it, but he will mess someone up if he has to. He's incredibly intelligent, but also social and charming. He's into philosophy and music and even though he gets along with everyone, he is very particular about his friends.
Pretty sure I'm an alpha female, but I'm definitely becoming more sigma as I get older and work on myself.
I think the sigma mentality is what everyone should strive for honestly.
we are out there, glad to see that a woman can appreciate what we offer :D

The biggest problem with being a Sigma male is that it confuses people. They tend to get frustrated that we are not like them nor do we wish to be. If only more people could learn these traits and come to accept them. It can be a difficult path.
Confuse, who?
@@alb2be Others. Was that unclear?
@@terrydrumsI understood what you said...
Nor are we easily manipulated nor controlled.
I have usually had people react positively when showing these traits. All the right people seem to value honesty as long as it is worded thoughtfully. The exceptions have usually been when people who are more suspicious in nature think that I am being disingenuous. Reactions probably widely vary depending on the individual, and social circles.
So basically the opposite to a politician 😅
Don't care what anyone thinks.......period.
I’m like that too. It really sets you free.
Yes mate. I fully agree.
I mean it's good to care about what others think, if they deserve your respect... But sure! If they haven't passed that critical threshold, not giving a shit works just fine! 👍🏼
Careful, simply not caring at all is nihilism
@@gagepetersen4533 Yeah, far too many people like their overly simplistic one liners here, when Sigmas are in fact a hyper complex sub group, that most people don't quite understand...
Which leads me to conclude that most people who comment on content like this, aren't actually Sigmas in the first place... Just sad wannabes!
And you're right, although Sigmas are complex, nihilism isn't a trait that is common to them. In fact, I would argue that most would find this quality abhorrent!
Being alone is fine, as long as you like the person you're alone with, and we do.
Absolutely brother
Funny.
Not always. Sometimes, the one thing I despise the most is myself, but yes. For the most part
Well put.
The descriptions are spot on for me except when regarding possessions, I wouldn't say I am a minimalist as I don't have any empty shelves in my house, but the things I do own are directly related to the interests and hobbies I pursue. Nothing to do with displaying things to the outside world or looking for social standing.
BUT YOU DONT HAVE TROVES OF USELESS THINGS LAYING ABOUT,THAT IS WHAT WAS MEANT.
@@petewhitehead742 Woh! Settle petal.
I have all that I need and need all that I have. It's not about quantity.
I have to agree that being my choice, I would only have the extra things necessary to enjoy my hobbies. What isn't my choice is what my wife feels is necessary for her enjoyment. We respect that in each other.
I have as suggested, what I need, of quality for the most part; which, if not so i do find aggravating; and many things, for the projects I have and are doing, including the will do's 😄
This video really resonated with me, because I've been an autodidact since childhood. I'm retired now, but when I was working, I never wanted to be a manager or a CEO, because I have little desire to control or manage other people. "Absorbed in the world of their thoughts..." Definitely applies to me!
@stevestruthers6180 " I have little desire to control or manage other people." Wow - I thought I was the only person who felt this way
I chose not to socialize because most people are morons. I do not care about their scorn, nor do I seek their praise.
A Sigma, IMHO, is just very disagreeable individuals, introverts too.
For me, I don't care what other people think, I want the truth. Just that.
LOL here here
We’re surrounded by idiots.
@@painlord2k People can't handle the truth because they would have to admit that they have been fooled their entire lives.
As Schopenhauer said "Dem intellektuell hochstehenden Menschen gewährt nämlich die Einsamkeit einen zwiefachen Vorteil: erstlich den, mit sich selber zu sein, und zweitens den, nicht mit andern zu sein."
We are not uncommon. We are not profound mystics. We are not special. We are definitely not a grift! We exist. We are introspective individualist. There is an old song that says it takes every kind of people to make the world go round. We are just a small part of this world
Definitely introspective. Either by necessity, or choice. The other paths, of supposedly Alpha or Beta, or even Omega, are just not conductive to our mental processes.
We are here and we are what we are. Leys just get on with our lives.
Well said, but it is uncommon. It is in fact rare. I believe it’s speculated to be 2-3% of the global population.
Speak for yourself.
Amen
I feel really at home in the Sigma.
My priorities:
1 Spirituality
2: Freedom
3: Money
4: Making music
5: Uplifting humanity
With the exception of making music I have the same exact priorities.
@@newlibraryofalexandria Cool, you may want to look into food apps (Uber eats etc. ), RUclips: Rich dad poor dad, Robert Kiyosaki audiobook.
Research side hustles.
If you're hardcore: Research day trading (price action, risk management and trading psycology) Keep the investments super small $20-$50
1st Freedom, rest is secondary.
I've grown three day stubble, taken walks along the meadows and beach and gaze at the horizon. I must be a sigma.😊
I have the same, first 3 priorities. I love music, but I'm not very good at making it. I would love to uplift humanity, but this world, the world that I live in, has become overcome with greed and power. I doubt if humanity can uplift itself anymore until the return of Christ. I used to be a very social person, and I do still like socializing at times, but I have found myself alone in this world. My life has changed and most of my family has passed on. I have learned to accept this and have come to love my solitude. I talk to myself a lot, but not to an invisible friend, I just talk to the air, or perhaps God, Jesus, or perhaps a guardian angel who might be able to tolerate my boring words. I don't talk to myself when others are present.
Interesting video, thanx. It helped me to remember part of a lesson my Sensei brought, “Only in silence can the deafening roar of the infinite be heard.”
I love my quiet peacefulness, I can be very social but I do prioritize my alone time. I love my freedom.
I've never felt so called out in my life.
4real!
If there’s a thing as a “Sigma female”, then that’s me. I embody many of the traits described here.
No, there's not. Not everything has to have an opposite. Go find or make up your own shit if it's that important to your ego to have an identity...

Wow, very eye opening. Appreciate you uploading this content.
One of my favourite pastimes is being alone in my room with my cats, reading Jung and having a beer ☺️
Same here. I really enjoy being alone, drinking a brewsky and reading Heidegger, Camus, or Sartre. I'm not crazy about labels, but I must say that the content of this vid describes me to a great extent. I would add, nonetheless, that I've been accused by those who don't get to know me well as being as arrogant, aloof, and misanthropic. I would rather describe myself as being stoic, quasi-misanthropic, intellectually flexible, and for sure as someone who loves being alone in deep thought. Cheers.

Thank you for expressing this in an intelligent manner. It is refreshing and comforting to hear someone knows us.
AI can do that
They are on the path of SELF STUDY= SPIRITUALITY.😇
I found this term quite profound a lot of it is me! I've always called myself quietly....not broadcasting to the world....that I am a reality battler. Those around me often seem to just do, produce while I am often still on th starting blocks, questioning the task...so that I understand it better so I dont just produce the required result or outcome, but I need/have to understand, plan, journey, finally getting to the result, having fully understood and learnt all the lessons along the way. It doesn't stop there either so much can be learnt from analysis post task. Yup I am a sigma or a reality battler as I've called myself until i came across this term.
Wow! You just made clearer things that I have been thinking about.
Thanks for this...
Need to share the link with a couple of people, it will certainly help in understanding me as an individual!
Truly remarkable 👍🏿
I rode through 34 states and 4 Canadian provinces in 2019, by myself. When asked by group riders why, I told them it was all about the freedom. I get up when I want to. I get on the road when I want to. I ride as slow or fast as I want to. I stop where and when and for how long as suits me. If I don’t feel like riding one day, I don’t. I don’t have a schedule to keep or anyone to answer to. Did I mention the freedom?
I am 73 and sold my motorcycle 3 years ago. I relate to your comments and really miss those solo rides.
No you have not and I am sorry to break it to you my dear never will. You can barely read yet comprehend. AI is dumber than a bag of lug nuts.
Thank you very much. This video was very informative. I learned something about myself today.
Thank you 🙏 i am my greatest competition, my greatest critic, my greatest celebrator and can celebrate with a coffee in a cafe alone in a place ive travelled to alone to stay their alone. While other use my achievements as their measure i dont use their desires to gauge my achievements. But my own belief in my self and my own use of time and imput. I found yoga & meditation 20yrs ago and find it empowering and uplifting even in the face of criticism. Criticism which is amusing and triggers of those making the statements and not an attack as they have intended. I do thing to expand my experience if others impact my experience i will avoid or shun them from my experience.

This video is ME. Love hearing it. Is there a common denominator on childhood upbringing? Nature vs nurture ?
This hit home.
It's great to have a definition for your/ our personality traits. Always remember you are 1 of 1....
yeah it's like I'm competing with myself... not others
I've got Lee Emery in the back of my head barking orders! How's that for motivation?

The leet urban speeeek. The AI force is strong with this one. How many BTUs did it take you to produce that sentence and drop some letters. Watch out, next time you may be rhymin’
The irony, that we despise labels, and they finally have a label for us, it was inevitable, that's the way their minds work.😉 I guess prior to sigma I considered myself a HIPPIE , Highly Intelligent People Pursuing Inner Enlightenment, that's a segment of society I found the most like minded people. Great to be with you all! 👋 😁👍✌️
Thanks for your time ❤❤❤❤

This definitely mirrored me and my spirit... I felt every word
Nicely put. I am a bit competitive but my Peace and tranquility is priceless 😊👌👑💊🙏
Very good video, also a little poetic.
A nuance about competition, even if it's not your main motivation to compete, you can use it to better achieve your personal goals, having other people implied. Even if you are a sigma, you know that some goals can't be achieved alone, and cooperation and competition can help in those goals.
thumbnail was false advertising!
The content became very, very redundant, like a GPT asked to make 8 out of 3 characteristics.
Just a clarification concerning competition : (an example) In tennis, it is thanks to the type of ball our opponents hit, whether a slice or topspin, a short or long ball, his or her tenacity and choice of strategy that helps one to improve performance, without it, we cannot progress, physically mentally, technically, it pushes us and hels us to evolve. Competition is not about noteriety, but it can be, certainly ones ego plays a part, if that concept even exists.
The type of ball is the same whether its sliced or has topspin, it's the choice of racquet strokes that are different.
Thanks for sharing. I have never identified with anything like I have this video.
Always knew i was different from everyone else like he said march to my own drum beat my mother used to say that to me alot growing up.
I prefer solitude and I don't seek validation, I am selectively social.
For me solitude is not loneliness. I prefer to live without clutter. I prefer minimalism. I value quality over quantiy.
Everything you said, was about me. I didn't know, I was s[iy]gma.
I always thought, that sigma was some kind of sorority.
Now i am veryyyy social but selectively social. Its pretty cool when even your enemies come talk to you about things bothering them or things they are happy they got.

Sigmas do not have an attention deficit, just the opposite. They can be labeled as ADHD but that is because sigmas don't play by rules. Lots of things in school are flat out boring and worthless. I was labeled ADHD which is absurd. I graduated with honors from high school and college. No one with an attention deficit could do that. I am hyper though. I am like the energizer bunny.

I don’t understand loneliness, as I always have something I want to do. I usually can’t sleep because I’m always thinking about the stuff I want to do .

Absolutely same. Young mans have depression from loneliness - boys do something ! I have only problem that life is short do everything what I can.
Well, to clarify, I completely understand loneliness. I meant "same" as in I seem to always have stuff I want to do instead of sleeping.

My family has always thought I'm a little "weird". I have accepted that. I know what they mean. Now I know a term that better describes my differences from the general population. I cringe at the words "Sigma Males"; sounds like a new narcissistic label. But still, I prefer it to "weird". I suspect the S.M. definition as described in the video has made a lot of guys a little less likely to care what others think. If it's possible to care any less.
Yes, need a better label than Sigma.
If someone tries to put a label on you, don't answer. Just smile.

Being a sigma male is not something that you can become it's a character trait that is given to you. They're rare people and you hardly see one around lol. So just because you're a loner sometimes it doesn't mean you are one and again this character is rare and I don't think there is a lot of them but they do exist lol.
Wow I say the same literally in another way but yeah it's a thing I never really gave any thought too until I kept seeing this alpha beta bs.

Finally I found the term that defines my character and personality. Now I wonder, how many of us are out there?

The narrator could read the ingredient list on a box of Betty Crocker cake mix and it would sound like a distillation of a profound philosophy.
Greetings, fellow Sigma males. God, this describes me to a tee. I was jolted into a new plane of self identity as I watched this ...
The only thing that got jolted must have been the cold solder joint skipping them electrons in your AI
Is this narrated by an actual human or an AI voice? Very nice narration, whichever it may be.
Me described perfectly.
Not all sigmas prefer minimalism in the sense being explained here.
Some of us collect things and have lots of stuff, but only things we actually value, without regard to how society values it.
I own cars, phones, clothes, and virtually everything else I own until they no longer function.
My interests today are the same as they were 20 years ago so I don't try to change my style with changing times.
Was that AI David Attenbourough?😄
Yep
Sounds like Issac Newton. And Henry Thoreau.
In high school I asked a good friend what he thought about self awareness. He just gave me the WTF look and an awkward pause followed.
I can’t believe how well this video describes me 😂
And I always thought that I had some kind of screw loose, it's nice to know I'm not alone
This video should be titled "32 different ways to basically repeat the same thing. With great narration."
Can't resist David Attenborough. I also wondered why I was different, took the road less travelled and didn't like certain types, namely Alphas lol.
By appearance I look all the way alpha to the non thinker. lil less than six feet 190 pounds muscular, work out a lot. Couldn’t be further from the truth. I work out for me. I’m so much more interested in whats goin on in my head than small talk and bs.. this video hits home, so sigma so sincere!!
