I’m probably going to stick with the 15PM for another year as the rumors about the 16 aren’t wowing me so far. Phone still looks and work great. Battery is at 96% capacity after 11 months.
GR8 video! Still liking my 15 PM. Battery Health is at 97% as of today (9-05-2024). I primarily charge overnight w/ magsafe. It's been an awesome device, still like new. Rocking the RhinoShield case & a screen protector, cuz I sometimes drop it. I will not be going for the 16 this year.
I've had my iPhone 15 Pro Max (upgraded from a base 14 which I traded in). I thought the 5x zoom would get a little use, but I'm surprised at how much I've used it. The build is absolutely top notch, performance is great, and the battery life is very good for my usage. During lighter days I end the day sometimes with 80-85% with only overnight charging via MagSafe. It can go down to 75% with about 2-3 hours of use during the day, depending on what I do. My first Pro-level iPhone, and I'm loving it. I'll be keeping this for quite some time (get my money's worth out of it), but I don't think I'll ever go back to a base model.
What up CJ? Samsung user dropping by to support the channel. I must admit to not knowing the Apple Pro Res Log, but I'm gonna take ur word for it. Gonna check out ur live on the 9th as well.
My spouse and I have 15 pros and I’m strictly wired charging and she is about 90% wireless and as very heavy users (we both have to charge our battery’s by the 7 to 8 hour mark plus we have instances where we charge because it’s plugged into our cars for Apple car play for music but that’s only a few days a month for an hour at the most ) my battery is 93% and hers is 90% still which usually by the 11 month to a years mark we are in the 85 to 88% area or worse in years past. So there is something to be said (in my experience) about wired charging (plus it saves room by not having stand on the table) but there could have been a 1% error maybe either way on battery health out of the box so it’s not major difference to me. I noticed a bigger issue with too frequently charging, if we keep the 2nd charge under 80% the end of the day and top it off at night and we don’t recharge until it’s less then 20% I find we get a better time of use.
I went with the 15 pro to be able to hold and use my phone comfortably. Unfortunately I’m missing that extra battery life and bigger screen so I’m getting the 16 Pro Max soon
Typically, I opt for the Pro Max, but this time I'm choosing the Pro. The battery life will be slightly improved compared to my 15 PM, and it will also be slightly larger than the 15 Pro.
Just got my 15 PM and tbh I only chose it cause am not a fan of the White Titanium and it was the only one available in the Pro models (I really wanted the Pros too) 😭 it’s honestly big for me but the features are great so I can’t complain
Great video. I just don’t see Apple and Android as interchangeable as you. I’m sure Android users will come at you too for thinking that. Apple’s security and privacy focus are not the only differentiators. Android users believe Apple doesn’t “innovate” but Apple uses Samsung to BUILD their screens not design them like other companies. I love HOW Apple thinks about innovation, it’s not so much about icon arrangements, it’s Shortcuts, FaceTime, Air drop, MagSafe, Pro res log, Find My, Dynamic Island, Carplay, Apple Pay, Siri, Passkey, Haptics, M1, Spatial Audio, focus modes, ecosystem, great native apps like iMessage and Notes, 120hz refresh rate…
I've been using 15Pro for almost a year now and it does its job, but the battery span is 😑. My capacity is 92% max when fully charged... Other than that, things are just fine. It's a typical iPhone quality...
I have dropped the iPhones since the 12 pro , maybe 200 times .. I don't use cases or screen protectors , they have all survived . Since the 12 it's just built solid, dropped my pixel 7pro once and the volume buttons fell off.
Hey CJ, I love your videos coz it’s neutral talk about the tech. I used pro res and this was the reason I bought my 15 pro max, as I want to shoot the videos to my music. However, I can’t get used to the silliness of the iOs, and it’s not improving. Small things, it’s many of them, and Apple doesn’t pay attention to these at all. Shame, because otherwise it’s a great device and it feel great using it. It’s addictive. But the silliness of it making me annoyed on daily basis is not good for the price I paid. Anyway, I’ll keep it coz, that was the point of investment 😎
Love my Blue Titanium iPhone 15 Pro Max. Had it for a year and it’s been mostly ok. I have three small scratches from drops (with a case on) earlier this year. Cameras are fantastic, speakers are great (although they were crackling at first), & battery life is stellar. About the only thing I’ve had an issue is how the phone would heat up at random times. I could get the phone to do this on purpose if I take rapid screenshots or using the camera. I think Apple programs this thing to be super aggressive with its Neural processors to scan your photos/screenshots. This way the phone can “tell” what’s in the picture. But the cost can be high with super warm temperatures. I’m hoping Apple fixed this with iOS 18 and the iPhone 16 series.
I personally like the idea of the iPhone being the iPhone and Androids being Androids-not to say that we can’t get some “inspiration” here and there. 😉
Is a user ; I always go with the pro version because of pro motion display . If regular or plus versions has it I’ll choose them instead of the pros . 2:32
Hey CJ, can you tell me your thoughts about heat issue? is it resolved? i know 16 is gonna be launched in a few days but im currently on a low range android and was thinking of getting my first iPhone. what would u tell me?
I haven't had any heat issues, and apple released an update as well as many other apps that were the actual cause, so no heat issues should be the norm.
I love my iphone pro 15 max, I also run the samsung s 23 ultra, iphone gets the samsung in audio but samsung gets iphone screen size and pictures, video
My personal opinion is I LIKE CUSTOMIZING and ios 18 is not it. The fluidity of Apples app and iMessage is what makes it so great. Add to it the ability to do "android" type customization would be fire. The competition would still be there because of how good iphones run and that's coming from a Samsung user that moved to iPhone 3+ yrs ago. I am tempted to go back all the time ONLY for the customization, but other than that I love the other things mentioned above much more. This phone is straight up boring me though :(
i use my 65 watt oneplus charger to charge my iphone 15 pro max and it charges it pretty damn quick all things considered up to 50 percent in like 20 mins from 0
I am going to upgrade my iphone 11 standard model to 15 pro this September 18 I hope I will make the right decision since I came from an iphone with a notch wanna experience the dynamic island 😊

14 pros are beasts because they're made with stainless steel frames. Better than titanium in many situations, but slightly heavier.

You can stick with it for 3-4 more years
im about to pick up one cheaper than the 16, and just see if apple ever makes a flip. I really want a ipad mini phone with pencil support.

97%, is it a battery health?
People love to hate on Apple, but I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Galaxy S24, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max has been more reliable for me.
