I am a geoscientist and there are rocks in every corner of my room. Picked them up on field trips, now they are just vibing. Love them, they bring me joy
I was fascinated with rocks as a kid, I even had a collection of granite stones that were different colours. Sadly, one day my sister chose to use the container housing said stones as a weapon; I lost a tooth; and some of my passion for rock collecting lol
In the words of Spiderman Noir (from Spiderman into the spiderverse): That's a hardcore origin story!! P.S--> I take it that that's the reason you became a horse?
Hey, thanks for the land acknowledgements you include in each of the geography videos. I appreciate that you care about those matters even though they're not talked about. Thank you from a current uni student who's trying to study well!!
This is the best crash course series with the best presenter! The knowledge, the confidence, the enthusiasm! Absolutely beyond reproach! Not to mention the hair, the nails, the shirt. Alize you're amazing!
Thank you so much Crash Course! I'm fine with intertwining geology (concepts) with Crash Course Geography even if getting a standalone geology Crash Course is not likely.
Ayy Alizé had a new hairstyle, she looks gorgeous. And as always, I really appreciate all of the team' work in order to deliver to us viewer quality educational videos, they really spark my interest for geographic stuffs. Thank you very much.
I don't have enough words to express my love to this educational channel i love you guys I've learned a lot feom u with a simple methods for explaining
I have the smallest possible gripe with this video. At 2:34, Alize says 'radius of 960 km', but the graphic in the video shows that the diameter is 960 km. Ultimately not important, but just wanted to point it out in case you guys decide to reupload.
I found this channel today. It is a great channel! temperature, day and night, pressure, etc... Changes in rocks by the environment... I learned a little about rocks. It's so helpful. Thank you!
where does the other stones come from, and why are some represented as planet stones? Sagittarius is the stone Turquoise, and represents Jupiter, but, do Jupiter have any Turquoise?
Great video! Although, I'm curious why you gave the mountain granite such an ego identity? I'm a bit distracted thinking about what that implies, like an ocean wave afraid to hit the shore because it'll crash and die 🌊
This video was rock solid.
you're fired

This ten minute video explained a large part of my first semester of studying Geology so well.
Would love to see a crash course geology as well. I majored in geology minored in geography. Looooove earth science 🙂🙂🙂
If I may ask what type of job did you get with your geology degree? I’m really interested in geology
Strongly agree
Yeah, it would be great to see them cover basics of Physical Geology, Historical Geology & Paleontology, Minerals & Rocks and geological structures.
The Great Courses series on geology is taught by a guy with degrees in both geology and chemistry and he puts both of them to use in his lectures.
arent rocks amazing💗
Rock 1: I think I want to go through a change
Rock 2: Really? what change?
Rock 1: Probably a harder rock type!
Rock 2: Gneiss.
Holy schist, this was a gneiss episode. Won't take this series for granite, that's for sure!

Wow. This is a huge scientific description of our earth's surface. Bravo.
There are actually two types of crust on Earth; thin crust and stuffed crust.
This is a gneiss video. Rocks are not to be taken for granite.
Gneiss Pun for sure!
That was a huge amount of information packed into a 10 minute video.
We might even say you could do a whole Crash Course series on Geology!
Wow I didn't know I was into rocks until now!
Jesus Christ Marie they are Minerals
Rocks are awesome!
I've never felt so much empathy for a slab of granite before. Poor thing lol
Hey, thanks for the land acknowledgements you include in each of the geography videos. I appreciate that you care about those matters even though they're not talked about. Thank you from a current uni student who's trying to study well!!
Crash course on geology and mining engineering is highly needed on this channel.
I've been waiting for geology vids for so long! Yeah!
9 year-old me would be so happy watching this video, so I'm doing it for her
This is the best crash course series with the best presenter! The knowledge, the confidence, the enthusiasm! Absolutely beyond reproach! Not to mention the hair, the nails, the shirt. Alize you're amazing!
I'm doing a presentation on geology and I spent all last week searching for Crash Course explaining the rock cycle. So glad this is now here
Thank you so much Crash Course! I'm fine with intertwining geology (concepts) with Crash Course Geography even if getting a standalone geology Crash Course is not likely.
I changed the settings to .75 speed for my 6th graders. She talks FAST! Lots of great information!
This episode rocks!
I’ll let myself out…..
Then i'll call the FBI to bring you back in!!
Ayy Alizé had a new hairstyle, she looks gorgeous. And as always, I really appreciate all of the team' work in order to deliver to us viewer quality educational videos, they really spark my interest for geographic stuffs. Thank you very much.
This is geology, which builds the features of geography
This rocks!! ❤️😁
wow, as a geologist this one of the best videos to deliver to people who have basic questions about all of this, spares me quite a bit of talking, lol
Me: yeah I gotta do lots of stuff I'm long overdue
Me later: YOU ARE RIGHT WHAT ARE ROCKS???
This Crash Course is good for geology! I love
I love all the comments from people knowing the difference between Geography (Earth Mapping) and Geology (Earth Study).

This episode really rocked.
I'll see myself out...

Hank Schrader would be proud that I learned the difference between rocks and minerals today.
I love rocks that break into sharp flakes like chert, dacite, and obsidian.

There is so much more to rocks! When is CrashCourse Geology coming?
This channel is too good
I did not know rocks are so precious and delicate❤
This video rocks!

Great video
Nice Lapis earrings :)
Yes
This video rocks!!!!
Woohoo! I miss crash course because it’s summer, but can’t wait for the 2021-2022 academic year!
this is a mix of science and geography intresting to watch
This is so helpful for studying am I right?
There seems to be an error @2.32. Earth's core is said as 960km in radius but the animation shows 960km as diameter
They're not rocks. They're minerals!
Damnit Marie!
Jesus Christ Marie
Nice video
Ultimate narration and easy to understand for one and all.. thank you guys...
Wow. Very informational.
I found this channel today.
It is a great channel!
temperature, day and night, pressure, etc... Changes in rocks by the environment...
I learned a little about rocks.
It's so helpful. Thank you!
So when you find a gneiss-looking rock, don't take it for granite.
Things that good to know
They’re minerals. Jesus Christ Marie
Very detailed video however the speaker talks very fast text is definitely needed 👍🏾
This video was approved by The Rock!
To think we went from throwing these hard bois to nukes in a few thousand years is a bit nutty
Make Crash Course Geologyyyyy
They’re minerals!
Nice
where does the other stones come from, and why are some represented as planet stones? Sagittarius is the stone Turquoise, and represents Jupiter, but, do Jupiter have any Turquoise?
Great video!
Although, I'm curious why you gave the mountain granite such an ego identity?
I'm a bit distracted thinking about what that implies,
like an ocean wave afraid to hit the shore because it'll crash and die 🌊
What does a geologist say when they see an attractive metamorphic rock? Gneiss!
Who else is watching this for science
I
V
Aww, why'd you have to make the disintegrating rock so cute?
rock and roll baby
Gneiss?... that's nice 😅
"Which is made with the help of all these gneiss people..." I knew the Crash Course team were all rock stars! :D
It’s Clobberin Time
This wins first prize for how fast to talk. Couldn’t listen any longer.
I'm trying to figure out what is the pattern on Alize's shirt. It looks kinda like birds and kinda like dinosaurs but not too much like either.
They're not rocks, they're minerals
Interesting though guys
