Excellent instructions :) this was 5 minutes of my time well spent .. and it was actually fun. I had to improvise a bit on the prying tool but it all came up good. My hubby will be pleased to have his key functional again. Thanks muchly!

Thanks for this mate, was quoted $150 for the job but I got a $15 eBay replacement and did it on 5 mins. Life saver!
Also just a tip for everyone having trouble getting the casing back on, after installing the motherboard onto the new button housing, you may feel like the amount of force you need to use will break the casing/mobo, it won't as long as you line up correctly, it takes a considerable amount of force.

Thanks, the cover that operates my 2013 caprice ppv detent buttons fell off. The replacement housing is on my way. Possibly saved me from damaging my remaining parts.

Hey Mate can you do a video on how to open the Kay for a Holden Cruze 2012 Hatch that key is different than the one you showed in this video. I am able to open the piece for the battery but got no clue how to open the rest. Not sure if I can send a picture in the comments here.

My buttons are pretty well worn out - where do you get the new ones?? Great vid - I replaced the battery and instant success with a key I'd been struggling with for months. Now, if I can just replace those buttons...!

you can purchase them from a dealer with part number "92245049" or eBay and search "ve commodore buttons" they are cheap. Good luck
