    I had my hair analyzed and it was low porosity with coarse strands and medium to high density and medium elasticity. I have since began to turn gray (Salt & Pepper) and now I'm not sure of the porosity anymore.

    • @kurlymeka
      @kurlymeka  Год назад

      Usually gray hair tend to be more resistant as it loses it pigments. I do believe you would still have low porosity. If you are not experiencing any major hair breakage then the other analysis would perhaps be the same. Keeping in mind that I am not seeing your hair so my assumption is strictly based off what you wrote. 😊🙌

    • @dorethamcelliott4900
      @dorethamcelliott4900 Год назад

      Thank you and no I'm not experiencing any breakage just harder to retain moisture since it's more coarse and wiry.

    I live in a Latin American country with a tropical climate, obviously it is very hot and I am very exposed to the sun, could someone recommend me products?
    Postscript: My hair is fine texture and low density, sorry if my English is bad, I speak in Spanish.

    • @kurlymeka

      The products I use could work for you I have medium texture so Since you have fine texture just avoid using moisturizers on your hair or if you do only use a pea size or less. Avoid heavy conditioners that could weigh your hair done.

    How do I bring more moisture to my hair? I have low porosity hair...

    • @kurlymeka
      @kurlymeka  Год назад +1

      If you have low porosity on your wash day is the best time to add moisture to your hair. Why? your hair is already saturated with water so after shampooing add your deep conditioner or moisturizing treatment sit under a warm dryer to help further open the cuticle so that the treatment can penetrate into the inner layer of the hair shaft. After that you can add a leave in treatment.

    Hello Kurlymeka and thank you So Very Much for taking your time out to deliver such awesome and valuable information for us. I would like to share with you my hair’s characteristics.
    I have had dread locs for 6 years and recently decided to take them down and turn over a new leaf. Due to zero manipulation of my hair for the past 6 years, my hair has high elasticity. It is also fine, less dense, and has a low porosity. I would love to hear any advice you may have to give me in taking care of my hair as I newly embark on this journey of taking care of my hair for the first time!
    I am considering relaxing it to decrease the probability of losing the length I acquired during the 6 years of having locs.
    Again, this video was powerful and I’m grateful for your passion and dedication 🩷🔥

      Thank you, and you are welcome. I would not recommend a relaxer for your hair at this time. The health of your hair is more important at this time. I suggest that you give your hair a deep treatment that is a protein treatment followed by a moisture treatment. I want you to keep your hair hydrated throughout the week. There are a number of things that could impact the health of your hair.
