Great videos man! Working towards living a similar life to yours. Have you always had this vision of retiring in Southeast Asia? Also, you have this zen-ness & tranquility about you regarding your outlook on life and how you carry yourself. Have you always been this way? And if not, any recommendations how one can get there?
Great question I started visiting Asia over 15 years ago It’s a vibe that just gets me I needed to embrace minimalism To break out of the chaos of the west
For people who said Bali is expensive, dont go fancy restaurant, hotel and beach clubs, there are many local restaurant which are safe for westerner taste, and cheaper accomodation and affordable nature tourist destination, all you need to do is research, experience and explore more options

I have the resources to stay anywhere including 5 stars but I don’t feel comfortable in that environment with families and pretentious people. Video request/idea: I spent most my life in Military City USA, and have many military friends. The consensus among these friends, who are "preparedness-minded," is that folks will be far better off in their home countries in a SHTF scenario. Their main point is that foreigners would be fed to the wolves since we are always outsiders in other countries. I see their point, but don't necessarily think it's that black and white. Would be very curious, given your career background and overlay of your financial market/AI knowledge (since financial or technology problems are primary doomsday predictions), what your thoughts are on this matter. Your content is always first rate, my friend! A question that is as important as it is impossible to answer without a crystal ball, but curious as to your thoughts: How likely is it that these places you're at will continue to be very affordable? Will a wave of some combination of inflation and devaluation of the USD just come along and wash my dream of a cheap retirement abroad out into that beautiful ocean you're walking along? lol. On a side note, it's super interesting and informative that you mention the high season pricing for accommodations. I was under the impression (thankfully mistakenly) that prices would probably double then. Maybe the main issue would just be actually finding something when things fill up. Do you try to anticipate that and book in advance or just go with the flow? TIA
This is a great question The demographics of Asia is that it’s getting older Fewer young people means less tax revenue and less GDP growth I think both tourism and bringing in western retirees to live in Southeast Asia will be vital for their progress

TIA
This is a great question
The demographics of Asia is that it’s getting older
Fewer young people means less tax revenue and less GDP growth
I think both tourism and bringing in western retirees to live in Southeast Asia will be vital for their progress
Better than lonely planet :)
Remember dragging a book through each country and for the hardcore tearing the pages out as you moved through a country ?
Interesting! This is a cool idea
A good book helps with long airport lines
