  • This video shows you how to ride the Metro train to the LAX airport in Los Angeles. LAX is Los Angeles international airport, and the metro green line, or C line train goes to the LAX airport. They are planning to build a connector that actually takes you to the airport terminals, but right now you can take the Metro green line to the LAX station, and then catch a free shuttle bus that takes you to the airport terminals. In this video, I show you how long it takes to ride from the end of the LA Metro green line to the LAX terminal, I also how long it takes to get to the terminal from the train stop. If you’re planning to take the LA Metro rail train to LAX international airport, and then planning to take the shuttle bus from the train station, make sure you allow a lot of extra time. In this video, I show you how long it took me, and even from very close by at the Redondo Beach station, it took about an hour to get to my plane. but it is very easy to take the Metro train to the Los Angeles International airport, you just need to allow enough time. taking the train only cost $1.75, so it’s much cheaper than taking an Uber or a super shuttle.
Here’s the official metro website, showing you how to get to the airport on the buses and trains.

Thanks! I’m thinking about flying to LAX from Sacramento for the day. I’ll skip the rental car and ride the metro

I hope they extend the C line to the Torrance Transit Center as LA Metro is planning, but NIMBYs are already complaining about one thing or another. And we're only talking about adding two more stations if I remember correctly.

Ha ha! I know. They just delayed it again. It should be a lot faster once they finally build it, if I’m still alive.

@@hoohoohoblin The basic phase of LA transit will be complete once Norwalk connects to Santa Fe Spring Station, the K Line extends to LAX, restrooms are available at all stations along with Metro priority traffic signals, and Metrolink operates at a 15-minute frequency on all lines

The LAX/Metro Transit Center station will most likely open this year. The LAX people mover into the terminal is what has been delayed. I'm assuming the shuttle bus will move to the new station as an interim solution.

Yes. I’ll definitely give it a try then. It has to be faster than the current system, unless they put a bunch of stops at parking lots along the way.

@hoohoohoblin The automated people mover will have trains running every 2 minutes, and the four car trains will have a capacity of 200 passengers per train.

8:54 to 9:38 is a pretty long wait for the train

Yes. It’s it’s really bad. They’re supposed to show up every 15 minutes. I’m glad it was delayed so I could show people what it’s really like. I’m also glad it wasn’t delayed that long. On my way to the airport, or I would’ve missed my flight.

@@hoohoohoblinon the C line they run every 10 minutes during most of the day and off peak, every 20 minutes. I recently ready that frequencies will improve on the K, C and B lines in June 2024 to minutes during peak hours and either 12 or 15 minutes during off peak.
