Trish KZ I agree with the natural back ground sounds. I lived out in the boonies in texas and loved waking to deer in my yard and the road runner on my fence and quail under the trees and my wolves howling in my yard. Just the peaceful sound of birds like doves. Now living in NH much of those sounds are gone in Manchester but I’m looking for another remote spot. We have lots of moose and bear and darn turkeys. My family history is throughout New England. I missed the ocean.

I grew up in the hills of S.E. Tennessee. We always kept a few chickens & guinea hens... and we never had to suffer fleas or ticks as long as they were scratching around. 👍🏼
Lorchid23: I come from N.E. North Carolina, Albemarle Region: We had Bantams and Guinea Fowl and they did the same thing for us: no ticks or fleas! And the Guineas were so damn loud that when you sat on the porch and tried to talk to anyone, if the Guineas saw you, they would run up near the porch and drowned you out! You couldn't hear the other person talk! They were great "watchdogs" if anyone came up the lane to the farm.
SettingItStraight1 - 😂 Yes....and guineas are CRANKY too. They’d chase us down and try to flog us if we got too close to their favorite rummaging areas. They’d KEEHONK KEEHONK and all you’d see was a flash of black w/little white dots coming after you. LOL 😆

So Cam how does it make you feel to have all this love and attention? All just by being yourself, no put ons, just YOU. I guess you never expected this when you started your channel. BTW what was the date you opened up the channel, and how you felt about it, and how you got started. Did you put out the word you would be starting out. I don't know how all this stuff works, I am way behind. If you haven't yet written some info on how this all got started, you should.

@@howardrussell7072 Yes, Howard I agree with you that Cam is a stand up guy. There are some people born that way and has also been socialized growing up. He seems to be all out front, like what you see, is what you get, and I think that is one reason he is so popular.

This has to be one of my favorite stories I love the chicken sounds I’m a city girl but always ambition a life in the country where I can have chickens dogs and farm animals. lol, they have the sweetest lil chnicks, and I had a flock of em as a child (Farm Living), but they make the most smelly "Chicken mess". It is awful.
I'll always be a Chicago Born Irish Girl with an adapted ease on Southern (Dad's home Kenton, TN), but my Soul loves Chicago and particularly Chicago of my early youth.

I had no idea there were blue chickens. I’m a city girl but I love country. I moved to the country when I married Bill and we had horses but he wouldn’t let me have chickens.

Yes,we had 4, they'd come in front room for a look around and see see if there was anything to steal to eat 🐔😂. One time one was a little poorly, she came in for the night, next morning I cleaned out her little pen we'd made for her. Then later in the day,I get a message "she's happily sitting on the sofa"🐔😂🐔😂

@@robertleo8006 I honestly wouldn't mind a blizzard before winter is over. We haven't had a good snow here in a few years. 2014, or 16 was the last blizzard. It's not a real winter without at least one.

78LedHead yes sir. the hemlocks look best with heavy white coating. the critter tracks, the frozen creeks and run offs. it really is a key feature of real winter.
lucky its been full blown winter here on the Minnesota/Candian border for almost 5 months.

Don't worry about the chickens Cam...I grew up on a farm in Kentucky...I don't think I ever heard a story without the sound of cows or pigs in the background until I was at least 27 years old...sounds like home to me 😊❤

You know, it is traumatic enough for adults to encounter these unbelievable creatures, but an 8 yr old child, has got to be what nightmares are made of. Thanks for the stories, I always enjoy them. Amazingly, listening to these stories relaxes me, how these stories relax me, I don't know, but Cam, has a relaxing/funny voice. And, Cam, no need to apologize for your burst of laughter, or any other emotions, it just makes you real and makes the rest of us break up. Thank you for another good story.

the chicken does have a name it is "no name". I love to hear the sounds of the animals in the background. It somehow makes it more real. Greetings and salutations from Australia. I love the stories that the kids write. I wish that I had this type of encouragement when I was a teenager.

Most of us listeners love listening to those chickens and your narration of the stories sent to you! If a few people have an issue with the chicken noise, they are NOT your people.
Hearing so many of these stories, it really seems like there are some group of these animals that are wild and can be aggressive, but there are other groups were they are normal animals or almost like cavepeople and/or gentle. It's all very interesting.

I always allowed my kids to do evening chores; while I took morning feedings and watering; I was afraid someone would end up at school wearing animal poop and get teased by the kids from town if I made the Littles do the am chores. Lol

About that last story: when I hear similar stories about how the officials become involved and they realize its a BF and they tell the person not to say anything To anyone, I always think if it was me I would freak out on them saying, hey, we could’ve been killed and you’ve got to warn people ir if anyone else goes in there and DOES get killed or injured, how can I live with knowing I might have helped them avoid that? You’re the official, DO SOMETHING!!!

I have some chickens also, they are fun just hatched some bantams of several varieties, but everything likes to eat chickens ,had a great horn owl eat some ,it ate their heads off first..gruesome! ... love the chickens in the video, they are like fish in a aquarium! Entertaining to watch !!!

Judging by the traits of some of my family members (many of the men on one side look like a mixture of dwarves from the mind of Tolkien, and the encyclopedia photos of Neanderthals- hairy, low-browed, large feet) and the hair I'm growing all over as I've gotten to middle age; that may be truer for me than I care to imagine.
