Hey it may sound like a weird question but how can I kae this crossbow weaker, around 10 lbs weaker so it lands on 30 lbs? I have made a 175 one but I can't use it for larp (obviously) so I wanted to give this one a shot (no pun intended)
@@AeroPointIndustries Thanks, will try! Oh btw, youtube doesn't warn people when you reply, or at least it doesn't to me, so always make sure to pop a like so they get a notification.
@@trevorsawyers3173 No way haha, the 175 pounds broke and since then I've been thinking how to repair it, since no time + no money. I haven't even been able to sketch the 30 pounder. Sad but true. Maybe on April, I hope.
What is the draw weight at the trigger hook? The trigger looks like a weak point. I built a x bow 40 years ago with over 100 pounds draw weight but I used a trigger mechanism from an old air rifle.
Yeah that was a bit of a worry for me, but the entire trigger is lime 3/4 of an inch thick, so it's not a huge problem, and since the prod is made of 3/4" PVC, it doesn't have a super high draw weight. It's probably somewhere around 40lb.
dude that is awesome. Though i would like to say, the strings looks a little loose and the bow could be bent a bit more to get more power. I've never built any crossbow ever so take it as a grain of salt.
Thanks! Yeah it wasn't meant to be a super high poundage, since the trigger came out a little thinner than I expected. I could print it thicker to make it stronger, but I didn't want to push it too much.
They're not $35.00, and it took quite a lot of work to get it right and working, and if I don't charge anything, there's no way I can keep doing any of my projects. It's just how it is. Sorry if you think it's too much.
everything looks pretty cool but the trigger look like it might be weak but look like it works pretty good and do you have TikTok? If not, you should maybe post some videos on there to help grow your RUclips little bit easier and I will probably give you a follow on there, too
That's a pretty cool trigger system you made!
Thanks!!!
That looks amazing. One thing I learned from Tod is angle here the prod sits so the prod is pitched back a little, reduces the string drag.
Beautiful bike
Very smart. What poundage was the pull .
I think it was around 40 or 50 or something, but it can be modified to have more than that.
how far is the shot? and how long is the pvc bow?
Make it a double shot, lower and upper prods! Kudos!

You can either use 3/4 pvc pipe, or you can try bending the 1" even more at the handle, but I would more reccomend the 3/4 pvc pipe. Hope that helps!

@@gorkokhow did it go? Were you able to get 450 inch pounds?

You want $35 USD? For plans of a crossbow you made from trash? The world's gone crazy, cheers Graham
