The last 2 hubs I've needed to get out the slide hammer would not work to get it.....I spent much time trying to "slide" it off and it would not work....what now?
@@CalamityBaird Yep....all these videos look "easy" but in reality it is a mess.....I"ve spent 2 hours over the last 2 days trying to get it out and it would not work.............I have used the towel whip method so I'd not hurt by hand.
Ive got the type like you say where its all one assembly press in and no axle spline. I have a ball joint press so im hopibg that will clear the knuckle to press in the new hub bearing assembly? Didnt see ur link for that btw. Thank you
@@PhillipsVision you said you had another video on how to press the new bearing in though, that was the whole hub assembly, so Im trying to find that one. thank you.
@@PhillipsVision I did see this, but I have the whole hub assembly with bearing attached and you cant pass that bolt through to press it in. Starting to feel like im gonna have to take the whole knuckle off :(
Great video. I was able to get mine off with the slide hammer but the big question now is how do you get the new hub back in? I've searched all over to see if there are any videos using the slide hammer to put a new hub back into the bearing. Can you do that with the slide hammer?
@@PhillipsVision Gotchs. Thanks. One other question if you don't mind. As expected, the race on the bearing came off when I pulled the hub, which I was able to get off using the tool you show on another one of your videos. Since the bearing is brand new (I had them replaced only to find out the hub was bent and had to be replaced). Can I just tap the race back onto the bearing before I press in the new hub?
Put a long rag around the slide weight then you have 2 handles and it makes it whip back and fourth much faster and easier.
Yeah. After 2 hours of banging on mine and tearing my hands apart I found that trick.
This is the video I needed, Thank you!!
Thank you very much for showing me how to use step by step i like your video anyone i know i will send them your video keep it up
Thanks for the comment and support...much appreciated 👍

Looks simple, def will replace mine myself now!
Nibboi Andrew not a hard or long project👍
Don't know if you figured it out, but heating the outer run up makes that thing come out like butter.
LOOKS simple. I've been outside using the slide hammer for about 3 hours now. And I'm exactly 0% closer to getting it off.

Yeah mine isn't coming off that easy at all....lol

No. You need a bearing press to put everything back. I have a video on my channel showing how to do it

@@thekickthemalloutproject8583 I wouldn’t recommend it since dirt can get in a damage the bearing.
how to push the hub back?
Do you just bang it back on?
airborneinfantry23 you should press it back on.
🎯👌👍
It sucks when the studs are broken
Get a hub grapper
