You could also boil some lemongrass and bathe or spray your chickens with it because lemongrass is a natural insect repellent, you can also put it in the chicken coop bedding too, its pretty cheap especially if you can grow it in your garden
Currently have a lice problem in my flock of 8 😢 If I have nesting boxes with wood shavings I’m guessing I need to take the shavings out, spray the wood box with elector psp then put new shavings in??
There is apparently no egg withdrawal for this either.
I use sevin dust. Works very well.
One pullet has lice. Came on so fast! Discovered this evening. Checking and treating everyone else tomorrow. Hubs is out-of-town, of course!

Why do I see some places selling it for $200, someplace is for $175, and then other places for just $75. Where do you need to buy it from and know that you’re getting the legit product?
People are selling smaller sizes. 10ml bottles go for $30
Recently thought I had a mite infestation turned out it was vent gleet. Some apply cider vinegar and a better diet fixed them up pretty quickly.
Can I safely use this on my chickens when it’s really cold outside and hardly any sun the last two weeks.
I just had a mite problem. So gross. Especially when I also have a new baby to care for and chicks in the coop. I have in and got this stuff and it seems to have worked. Haven’t noticed any more mites.
The bottle cost more than the chickens.😅
That one bottle will last forever. One application per infestation and only a few mililters per dose, mixed with 28 ounces of water. If memory serves it is almost 200 doses which you probably won't use up in a lifetime.
How do you think your birds got lice? I have a isolated flock around a year old. No illness or parasites yet and I’d like to keep it that way. Any tips? I was hoping to keep them med free if possible.
Your my go to for info.. please help me…I had a rooster wander onto my farm.. maybe he was dumped. Is it possible he traveled through the woods a couple of miles. There’s no near by farms..I had him about 3 days now. He doesn’t look sick and his droppings are very good. I want to get him out of the unsafe dog kennel and put him in a small run within my chicken run. Any suggestions.. Waiting 2 weeks is hard. I worry about him at night. And he’s by his self.
I really need good advice.
Henlo! I just ordered the elector PSP. Its going to take a week to arrive. Is there anything I can do in the mean time for my hen thats been effected the most?
Those mites look a lot like the bugs in my Purina scratch. Please tell me they are not the same thing😳
I doubt they are the same thing. It’s probably weevils in your scratch!

I used Elector PSP which is a naturally occurring bacteria in the soil.
