This one KILLS. After not liking Aventus so much, Creed throws this out there and I'm OMG... I need it to live. The refinement of this fragrance is what appeals to me. The depth of it... there is a seductive darkness here that feels right at home with the fruity/floral opening. The dry down is amazing. This one evokes emotion. What it says about the wearer, in my opinion, is best expressed in a C.S. Lewis quote: "Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you". I'm not a trust fund baby, but I'm going to buy it.
I bought a bottle of Creed Absolu Aventus from the boutique in Mayfair, London today. It’s dark and reminds me 100% of the heavy birch batches from 2011. Projection, sillage, and longevity are fantastic, and for me, it smells nothing like Sauvage. Creed really have listened to what fans have been saying about the old smoky 2011 batches. They really have created a masterpiece with Absolu.
I got Absolu yesterday, I tested it with just ONE spray on my wrist at 7pm. Now is 7am and I can still get a faint smell of it. Started smelling nice, and projected good, that lasted for around 3 hours, then it went down to aventus OG mixed with Sauvage elixir. I paid 500+ dollars, it is overpriced, should have been 400+, but I'm ok with it, I like it.
I'm a big Aventus fan as well, I don't like the price and size of the bottle of Absolu and wish it wasn't limited, I do like it I went to the store and tried a spray on the wrist. I didn't smell any grapefruit it opened with a pine note and after smelled like Aventus with the notes changed in strength the patchouli was turned up and some of the other notes were less prominent. I like this blend of Aventus a lot but not for that price I hope they put it into regular production.
Creed aventus is well worth the money...... untill C.D.N intense man came out. This new Absolu we be cloned a few months later so be on the look out for that. But I'm very interested to try and get my hands on some to ware it out.
Hi Erica, I am very skeptical about this release. During the last years Creed is going downhill in quality of materials. I see the "limited" as a marketing trick. However as a fragrance enthousiast i always enjoy smelling new things. I am searching for a sample to get from Europe as i live in Greece

I got the same sample last night at Saks 5th. It's good, but not $550 good. It's 75ml and limited so to someone that is made of money its totally worth. It's very similar to Mind Games Blockade. So if you want a cheaper version Mind Games Is like $350 for 100ml
We need a layering combo to duplicate or at least come close to this because it really is awesome, the best version of Aventus hands down in my opinion. Thinking a half spray of Sauvage Elixir and a full spray of regular Aventus on top might do the trick?!?!? Gonna try this at Nordy’s tonight. The price for this 75ml release is just stupid but the scent is amazing!
I went to Neiman Marcus to buy another flacon of Aventus and the lady had me smell the Absolu so i ended up getting both. I asked one of the ladys that always complemented me wearing Aventus to smell the 2 colognes (i sprayed each arm) and she instantly liked the Absolu over Aventus. And when she asked how much were the bottles she just about flipped when i told her i spent nearly $1,500 on the 2 bottles (8.4oz Aventus and 2.5oz Absolu). I think im going to get another bottle since theres only 10,000 world wide.
I have a Flaccon of original aventus, and everyone love it when I wear it. I do have a smaller atomizer of the aventus cologne, but it does not project like the original, so I am interested in checking this out. The new Carmina gets the same attention as original Aventus, as does Bois Du Portugal and a little known scent called Royal Oud. For fall, I stick with original aventus, BDP, and Royal Oud.
I don’t get the huge price hike for this one, and then 70ml concentration could have been 100ml. 😮❤🎉 but yes it’s a gorgeous smell but then again it reminds me of Dior Elixir with a twist. Maybe it’s my nose. 👃 In the the U.K it’s priced between £275 to £350.
I'm excited to try this fragrance. I won't be able to get a bottle but just sampling it would be cool. I can already see Fragrance World or Al Haramain dropping a dupe for it.

I love creed but their prices here in America are an absolutely joke, 545 for this 75ml fragrance is insane, in Europe their products are way cheaper. I tried this absolu yesterday and it’s very different to the OG aventus and the pineapple note it’s very weak so just for that I didn’t like it, I don’t even know why this fragrance is called aventus, it’s way different. Of course I don’t recommend it but it’s up to you.

I’m glad Erica spoke on the fact that this is more of a collector’s piece. To many comments about the cost and limited quantity, but that’s done by design. This isn’t for the masses, and I’m glad it’s not! I got the Sample and i Wasn't impressed ! Which threw me off due to i was very excited but it is just like the Original. That's it !! I wouldn't spend that type of money on something that i already have.
This one doesn't really interest me. I've heard a rumour that there is a virgin island water intense due early next year. If true, that one has great potential as Virgn Island water smells amazing but performance is very poor for the premium price tag.
Pineapple is still in it and the base is completely different. Doesn’t have that trademark Creed musk in the dry down. This is more like a designer smell.

Several months ago, I had quite a few back and thought emails with a Creed employer via email who where very informative. I suggested a more concentrated version of Aventus. Possibly mixed with similar notes to Creed Viking. I wonder if they actually brought this up in a conference on new lines of product 🤔😂 also Creed in the past never admitted that they changed the Creed Aventus formula, that it was just the differences in essential oil concentrates so each batch was different. People know it's different from the old batches.. But they said in a recent statement that they are using the original formula for Aventus starting from several moths ago. So they kind of admitted that they had changed the formula since its release haha My last batch from 3 months ago is definitely more old school Aventus. Am rocking the Viking ATM with winter months coming in. But am going to check out this new release now.. no wonder am poor 😅
There is rumours that it will be 10000 bottles, This is not really that limited. I like the fragrance got a few samples around 6 weeks ago. Got myself a full bottle today and scored 20% off so only cost me £256. Lots of shops had it for sale today and plenty of stock, I can see it still being easy to get a bottle in a month or 2. I am glad to see improved packaging, as creed has some of the worst and cheapest packaging around.

I went to Creed boutique today just to try the Aventus and Absolu Aventus, and I found Aventus has a more lemony citrus opening and the Absolu has a more pineapple opening. Kinda opposite what is said in this video. But the smell reminds me of my dad's hair cream when I was young.

Pricing on cologne/fragrances is completely ridiculous - some scented oil should never cost more than the cost of a shirt, for example. It's the same marketing and cartel mentality that's convinced us that diamonds are extremely rare. Although they _do_ look great on a lady, so that's fine. _But,_ any man that pays anywhere near $600 for a fragrance would probably like a pair of heels in his closet also - just sayin - run away ladies...

Dior savauge elixir smells very obnoxious, and overwhelming in a bad way! Absolu aventus as it dries doen is what savauge elixir needed to be. Much more smoother and oleasant to people around you
Why spend 500 dollars on a fragrance that smell like the original creed aventus. Not worth the money. And this coming from a person that have the original creed.
Maybe this is the strategy for many brands. Reduce the strength of their original fragrances to then sell an Absolute version.

Many won't be able to test Absolu Aventus. Maybe it is good, but regular Aventus is my choice.

Layer standard Aventus with Sauvage elixir, save money and enjoy a long lasting fragrance, or layer elixir with CDNI better

Several months ago, I had quite a few back and thought emails with a Creed employer via email who where very informative. I suggested a more concentrated version of Aventus. Possibly mixed with similar notes to Creed Viking. I wonder if they actually brought this up in a conference on new lines of product 🤔😂 also Creed in the past never admitted that they changed the Creed Aventus formula, that it was just the differences in essential oil concentrates so each batch was different. People know it's different from the old batches.. But they said in a recent statement that they are using the original formula for Aventus starting from several moths ago. So they kind of admitted that they had changed the formula since its release haha My last batch from 3 months ago is definitely more old school Aventus. Am rocking the Viking ATM with winter months coming in. But am going to check out this new release now.. no wonder am poor 😅

There is rumours that it will be 10000 bottles, This is not really that limited. I like the fragrance got a few samples around 6 weeks ago. Got myself a full bottle today and scored 20% off so only cost me £256. Lots of shops had it for sale today and plenty of stock, I can see it still being easy to get a bottle in a month or 2. I am glad to see improved packaging, as creed has some of the worst and cheapest packaging around.

I went to Creed boutique today just to try the Aventus and Absolu Aventus, and I found Aventus has a more lemony citrus opening and the Absolu has a more pineapple opening. Kinda opposite what is said in this video. But the smell reminds me of my dad's hair cream when I was young.
original aventus has different batches with DIFFERENT smelling. thats unbelivieble stupid but its true and thats a big problem for aventus lovers.

Pricing on cologne/fragrances is completely ridiculous - some scented oil should never cost more than the cost of a shirt, for example. It's the same marketing and cartel mentality that's convinced us that diamonds are extremely rare. Although they _do_ look great on a lady, so that's fine. _But,_ any man that pays anywhere near $600 for a fragrance would probably like a pair of heels in his closet also - just sayin - run away ladies...

Dior savauge elixir smells very obnoxious, and overwhelming in a bad way! Absolu aventus as it dries doen is what savauge elixir needed to be. Much more smoother and oleasant to people around you
