Beaux-Arts Nantes Saint-Nazaire
Founded in 1905, the Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Art, located 2 hours away from Paris is a highly selective higher art education institution that delivers National diplomas under the umbrella of the french ministry of Culture.The school trains students each year for the professions of contemporary art and visual creation.There are two national diplomas available to students: the National Diploma in Visual Arts awarded after three years, and the National Postgraduate Diploma in Visual Arts at Master's degree level awarded after five years.
The Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Art also offers preparatory programs for international students that helps them succeed the entry exams into superior schools of art, architecture and design. One of the other mission on the school is to open art education to a larger public through a broad range of amateur classes for adults, kids and teens. Within its building, the school has a contemporary art gallery, an Art collection, a 200-seat amphitheatre, a library with an important collection of more than 25,000 books, a Café/Gallery/Laundromat and regularly organises talks, conferences, seminars and events relevant to the arts.
In 2017, the school moved to the Quartier de la Création (Creative Factory) in the heart of the Ile de Nantes which is working as a cluster for creative and tech industries and gathers together schools of architecture, design, cinema, communication as well as the digital department of the Nantes University. The new building is a former industrial plant dedicated to naval construction that was rehabilitated by architect Franklin AZZI. It offers students more than 4,300 m² of technical workshops dedicated to wood, metal, moulding/modelling, photography, video, silkscreen printing, lithography.
Since 2018, the Nantes School Art included the Saint-Nazaire School of Art, 60km away on the Estuary creating the Nantes Saint-Nazaire School of Art with two sites. Saint-Nazaire is dedicated to a preparatory program mixing international and national students (Classe préparatoire d'arts et de design : Les Ateliers de l'Estaire) as well as amateur classes.

Créée en 1905, l'École des beaux-arts de Nantes, située à 2 heures de Paris, a quitté le centre-ville de Nantes en 2017 pour rejoindre l'Île de Nantes dans le Quartier de la création qui regroupe les écoles d'architecture, de design, de cinéma, de communication...
Les anciennes halles industrielles réhabilitées par l'architecte Franklin Azzi offrent aujourd'hui aux étudiants plus de 4 300 m² d’ateliers techniques artistiques : bois, métal, moulage/modelage, photographie, vidéo, sérigraphie, lithographie.
Depuis 2018, l'école des beaux-arts de Nantes regroupe aussi celle de Saint-Nazaire située sur la facade atlantique à 60km. Les deux sites proposent un programme de formations préparatoires à destination des étudiants internationaux : la classe préparatoire internationale à Saint-Nazaire aussi appelée les Ateliers de l’Estuaire prépare aux concours d’entrée en 1e année des écoles supérieures d’art et de design en France et en Europe en associant matières artistiques et mise à niveau en français. Le Programme Équivalence sur le site de Nantes prépare à l’admission parallèle dans les écoles supérieures d’art, d’architecture et de design en France et en Europe. Les Beaux-Arts Nantes Saint-Nazaire proposent également sur les deux sites des cours publics destinés aux enfants, jeunes et adultes amateurs et développent des programmes d'éducation artistique aux enfants et jeunes de la région.
Ouvert à tous, le pôle public Open School est constitué d'une galerie d'art contemporain, d'une collection d'art Art Delivery, d’un amphithéâtre de 200 places, d’une bibliothèque spécialisée en art et de ASKIP, un café/galerie/laverie associatif.
