the reason is that instead of being in drop b like it is on the record its in drop a. also things like this tend to sound better live. in the studio they mix it more and what not where live its just an amp turned up going to a mic and into the system.

Drums will still be playing, altough very quietly. Guitars will not work (as they're connected to a speaker, or something else that I can't remember the name of). John will be standing there screaming, playing a quiet bass. As soon as they realize what's happening, they'll probably just stop, and get information on what happend. Then it's just a waiting game for it all to come back, possibly an extra song will be played
