    For us, the best of both worlds is a Vitamix -- though it is more of a smoothie maker, not juicer. This way you get the benefit of fiber.

    I have a Breville juicer. I use it to make a ginger, turmeric, apple juice. It works very well. I also eat other foods with fiber so that’s not an issue for me. It’s an older juicer so when it dies I will be looking at a mastication juicer.

    Every time I think about getting a juicer, I reconsider because the thought of cleaning it out would make me never use it. I'll stick with my blender, and if I really need to remove the fiber, a strainer.

    Nama J2 is an excellent juicer and sorbet maker.
    Yes, quality juicers are expensive.
    However, I have had one of my juicers since 1980 and it still works well.
    I will purchase the Nama J2 as homemade fresh juice and sorbet are healthy and the Nama J2 is easy to clean.

    although it cannot macerate certain fruits and veggies well, also nuts.
    Everything else is so pricey and not affordable to low income households.
    So i used the blender to reblend the fibers of the fruits, as to waste not.

  • @BobGeogeo
    @BobGeogeo 28 дней назад +1

    Jeepers. I'd rather use a blender to make smoothies from veggies. For regular juicing of fruits, a hand juicer is under $20. The attachment for a KitchenAid mixer is a little more than that for a 3rd party item.

  • @fuzzylon
    @fuzzylon 26 дней назад

    Technically, eating fruit and veg in the normal way is more beneficial for health than drinking the juice (even if the juice does contain fibre) - so juicers are for encouraging people who wouldn't eat the fruit and veg whole to at least get some nutritional benefit from them - or because juice is what you want.
    For me, I bought the juicing attachment for my Kenwood Chef years ago and used it about once. The chore of cleaning it far outweighed the benefits.

    Let's be honest, you guys are behind the curve. The latest innovation is batch juicing... Think Nama J2, Hurom H400 or Kuvings Auto 10. That's where the market is right now. You guys are reviewing juicers that were state of the art 5+ years ago. Cleaning your juicer is an art. You put through a cup of water before cleaning. Then you scrub gently with an o cedar sponge.
