Caramel is one of my favorite fragrance notes & I usually aim for most of my perfumes looking for that note in particular. I tried Sol de Janeiro 71 because everybody was raving about it and I was so incredibly disappointed... it smelled like something was burning, I don't want to say popcorn in specific because that wasn't something that came to mind but it definitely smelled like something that was scorched and not in a pleasant way...I had to return it because I bought a huge bottle and I was not going to tough it out
Yes I felt the same way about 71! I immediately scrunched up my nose. It literally smells like old burnt popcorn . 62 is much more soft and beautiful, that one is a 10/10!!!
I will have to give 62 a try I love the bum bum cream but after spring 71 I was a little nervous that all of the smells would be tainted and smell distorted, because up to now I didn't know that anybody else besides me had that scent reaction... thanks for sharing your experience @@ts27612
Lately, I’ve been into Idole Nectar & the classic Cheriosa 62. I live a little further north than you, in Ohio. The change of seasons definitely influence what perfumes I like and can tolerate. During the spring/summer some of my “heavier” scents I can’t stand to wear. I think it’s the heat and humidity of the summer. They become cloying, but when the fall/winter weather comes I’m back to loving them again. Also, I think our taste in food and smell evolves and changes over time so it’s probably a bit of both that’s changing what you like in perfumes.🍮 Btw, love your videos!

Some perfumes I have that it's prominent in are xerjoff lira,jousset parfums accident a la vanille,private mood cotton candy,gritti gossip night,jousset parfums gourmand bakhoor,mazzolari vaniglia,kerosene unknown pleasures,omnia parfums madera,giardini di Toscana Bianco Latte and house of oud dates delight. 😊❤ love this video.
For me, Nina Ricci Luna (the blue apple). Absolutely divine! It is perfectly balanced and not cloying at all! I'm so sad that it is discontinued. It used to be my signature scent. I loved the video! Thank you so much! 🍮🤎🤍

I have several that you mentioned, but some others that you didn’t mention are D&G The Only One, Mugler Angel Muse EDT, Xerjoff Lira, and BBW Midnight Amber Glow. I have more than that, but those are my favorites that I feel have a prominent caramel note.

(Or cream, but usually butter) Yes the sugar is heated until it's that beautiful caramel colour which essentially is like toasting it, but then when you add the butter that's what gives it that extra creamy almost salty quality to it! so good! My fave lately is New York Nights! 🤎💙

I am loving caramel too but I don't have many perfumes with it in it aside from Cheirosa '62 and BBW Snowflakes and Cashmere. I feel like Khamra needs a caramel touch so I layer those 2 with it. I am curious about your opinion on the higher price point vanilla frags like Jousset Accident la Vanille, Escapade Gourmand, Navitus Mahni Cassonade, etc. I know scent is subjective but the thought of dropping over $200 on a frag that could possibly be found in another perfume house for a much lower price is on my mind lol. I am also testing La Belle by JPG, I think that it might have caramel😊Oh and I have YSL Libre Intense, it probably has caramel too😊🍮🍮🍮 Edit: I checked the notes and neither La Belle nor YSL Libre Intense has caramel, go figure. They are still delicious though😊😊😊
Gold couture doesnt last on me longer than 1 hour.. that's why I won't pick up a fullsize. The private show one gave me compliments before. Oh and have you ever had 'Curious in controll' by britney? I hate that it's hard to find now, it used to be cheap and I used up 3 bottles already. Its a lactonic vanilla/caramel to me. 🤤 Sol d. J. 71 is too much for me. But I don't like to smell like a legit nut cake.
Definitely love a good caramel scent ! Would u say private show is a lot different then Prerogative? Unfortunately I get the the popcorn smell from Cherosia sooo wish I didn’t but my skin hates it lol you should do Marshmellow next !
I wear Jessica Simpson Fancy when I want a nice caramel perfume. It’s a beautiful perfume at a great price point. I’m thinking of getting rid of gold couture. It just isn’t as smooth or long lasting for me. I want to pick up Sabrina carpenter sweet tooth caramel dream.
Off topic but I smelt Dulce and I just wish it was more powdery and fluffy but to me it smells like warm vanilla bean ice cream, it reminds me a bit of the Ellis vanilla milk one but I hated it it made me nauseous
@@AmyGlam Mod vanilla and the Billie elish one smell SO GOOD. Imo Dulce smells like the vanilla sky one and also the Ellis, but mod vanilla and the Billie eilish one smell so similar, the Billie eilish one is stronger but I think I like mod vanilla a bit more, cloud pink is amazing as well.

The same thing happened to me with vanilla sky when I first got it but now that I’ve had it for more than a year it lasts much longer on me now 🙌🏼🥰

I totally get it, I think Dulce is definitely one that isn’t for everyone but I wore it mixed with angel share yesterday and I was in love 🤩🤩

If you're looking for a powdery/fluffy sweet scent, please pick up Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth. It doesn't get fluffier or more delicious.
