Would you want a remade Dino Crisis to be like a RE remake or try to be something a little bit different?

Me and most fans have stated that RE6's gameplay would be perfect for a Dino Crisis 1 Remake as the predatory Dinos hunting Regina are not moronic, dimwitted zombies or moronic, dimwitted mutants but intelligent, cunning predators who if you screw up and aren't prepared will deal either massive damage, or worse one-shot you and the example I like to give proving how RE6's gameplay is perfect for a Dino Crisis 1 Remake is this:
You're in an area with some cover low on healing items, and the only weapon you have with full ammo is your starting pistol and you hear a pack of raptors heading your way, so now you have one of 3 options each with a 50/50 chance of ensuring your survival those being just make a mad-dash to the door leading to the next area and pray that the raptor pack doesn't catch you, stand and fight and hope you can kill them all before you run out of pistol ammo, or take cover and hide and pray that raptors don't find you and leave after a failed search that way you can leave to the next area in peace.

It would be great as a RE based game with a open world non linear story with some non RE functions maybe more crafting and survival options and maybe a bit of dying light parkour sections. Be happy with any remake tbh long time since I played the original ( yes grandad gamer) great video 👍

Thank you! DC has a lot of potential if they wanted to add features and gameplay beyond what RE games offer.

I played Dino Crisis for the first time back in January after hearing people rave about it for the past two to three years. It is a phenomenal game, and I think a remake would help resurrect it as a franchise. For a remake, I think it should play similarly to RE2R, but maybe do it’s own thing too because Dino Crisis is ultimately a different game.

RE2R does feel like a near perfect fit for a DC1 remake. What new features or things do you think they should add?

Dinosaurs have quicker reaction times than zombies. It might be difficult to balance into a playable experience that's not frustrating. And remember something - a lot of times, players were saved by pressing A to enter a room while being pursued, and the dinosaurs would just reset to their default locations upon reentering the room. A remake in the same vein as RE2R would make those near escapes nigh impossible, as well as the strategy one would need to move about.
Yes, it might be a good idea to kick around, but it might lead to frustration for the players if they get swarmed too quickly if you also update the dinosaur's behavior.

@@Supperdude9 Not sure that it's much worse than a zombie dog. If you can stun or make it limp by shooting it in the leg it's not that bad either. There's a lot of design options that could stall a raptor at first as well. We did see in the original they would be laying down when first entering a room as well.

@@hittobox That and they would fall for the lasers IIRC. Most would also spawn, depending on where you were, with their back to you to give you a chance to react, because otherwise they'd be on you.

I'd like to see feathered dinossaurs, they're legitimately cooler than the lizardy ones.

I just hope capcom doesn't wait too late to deliver on this remake. I'm currently 29 years old and although I will always be interested in a remake generations of gamers after me might not be and sooner a later the opportunity will come and go.

Very good point but the one thing this has going for it that will stand the test of time is the fact dinosaurs are almost always fascinating. We also just don't get many games with them from any developers.
