    Do you recommend this machine?

That's a very interesting question. It's a capable dedicated coverstitch machine that's available at a very good price compared to other machines on the market, though it doesn't have as many stitches as the higher-priced models. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the stitching it can make. Where it is really lacking (and is the reason I made this video in the first place) is user-friendliness. On the plus side it's very easy to thread, especially compared to most sergers. But it's very difficult to manage the threads getting your project in and out of the machine, and you can damage your project if you are not careful. I had to consult online tutorials to learn the right way to do this (the official manual is not helpful) and those tutorials are themselves a bit complicated. If you're looking for a good basic coverstitch machine and you're willing to deal with the procedures I cover in this video, then yes, go for it. If you're not mechanically/technically inclined, I'd say look elsewhere.

I apologize for this complaint. Your voice and descriptions are perfect. Unfortunately, your hands are often in the way of seeing what you are doing.

Thank you for the feedback - it can be a challenge doing this for the camera, since I have to do what the machine wants me to do, often with the camera right where my hands are supposed to be!
