Great updates. I have the Dreame F9 and mapping is quite good with the camera. If this laser is even more precise, then it could solve some small issues in mapping precision, but overall F9 mapping is already quite precise!! Also, the water tank capacity increase is a perfect improvement, current 200 ml runs out quickly, and trade off with just reducing 30 ml in dust bin is a very good idea as well. Overall, this product is awesome in functionality and quality for the money. It has features that other products only include at double price. The only issue I've found is that replacement parts have many similar models and it's difficult to select because there are many "compatible" spare parts.
Great video, now to wait I guess. Been looking to purchase my first Robot vac and found this model in in the Mi Home app. The auto detection of carpet is exclusive to this model or does the Robo rock s5/6 Max have it also? Would be great to see more info, like pet hair and carpet tests etc. Thanks

@@chungloankenny I’ve not known it to hit objects “hard” per se, but it certainly can push harder on objects that are very light or not secured to the floor, if these items are at the perimeter of the room, it seems to treat them a little more firmly, especially to discover the true “border” of the room before vacuuming the internal area. It is a little overzealous with trying to climb chair frames, e.g. a child’s high chair or the frame of an IKEA Poäng, other than that I’ve been pretty happy with this ability to work around chairs and work it’s way out of a tight spot. I’d appreciate a firmware update for slightly more consistent mapping/room division, if it brings other features that’s a bonus.
@@twinvader_ thank you for your reply . look like robot doesn't see what in front (though it can make a map). can you make a quick test put something in front the robot let see if it slow down or holding your jacket on the way robot moving let see if it go through . most of lidar robot will try avoid to hit those thing or very gentle touch it . mine doesn't care just go straight onto object in front of it . I have 3 robots with lidar sensor none of them act like this robot .

S5 Max is more expensive and received good review, but D9 suction power is 3000PA vs 2500PA for Roborock S5 Max.

This one has 4 levels of power. Level 2 has very good vacuum power with low noise
