Thank you for the review Ben! It is always a pleasure to hear your thoughts and see your camera work. I look forward to seeing the scratch test on the titanium!
@swisswatchcompany1710 I have the Bunker and the Hyper-G love them both they are awesome watches. Would love to see the Ark in an automatic version looking to purchase the Trench soon .
I maintain that a large part of Christopher Ward's massive increase in popularity in recent years was the switch from the old "Christopher Ward" logo to the new two flags one. I'll also add that if Rolex weren't, well, Rolex, they'd get absolutely slammed for printing entire novels on their watch dials.
I’ll give them props for the rebranding. I like it, well done. I’ll look into it and might buy one. Hope they offer the old models with new logo as well
Ben, you should check out the Citizen BM8180-62E. The triangular indices remind me of the $800 Seiko Alpinist. It sells for I think about $120 on a Christmas sale and it has a smallish dial I am partial to and probably qualifies as unisex. And of course it's Eco-Drive. Merry Christmas and cheers. EDIT: Just remembered it is JDM.
Great review. The Trench would. E so perfect of just they had the new logo and moved the “TRENCH” to the back. So easy! Hoping for a V2 of that. Such a beauty (potentially)
For some reason the original logo reminds me of the alien character on the kids cereal Quisp from the 1960's. He had an oval head with a spinner on the top of it.
Good review, and agree pretty much on all points. New logo/branding is 100x better. Cool dial with nice texture. Lume is impressive, and like that central ring, and how it's also lumed. Too big for me though, the previous model is more to my liking. And one more thing: Looks to me like the lume on the hands is a different color than the lume on the indices. Really not a fan of that. But making strides for sure!
As I can afford only low costers, I love your reviews! Great quality! And after some videos I was seriously considering San Martin 😂 You are convincing!
The new logo is much better, and I actually quite like that dual dial design with the lumed ring.... it's just a shame cause I'm also not a big "rugged watch" guy. If they took that same dial design and threw it into a more traditionally GADA style case and a SS or steel-look Titanium material, I'd grab one. If they managed to get it down to a slimmer profile as well, closer to something like the Erebus Ascent, I might grab MORE than one.
Like the new SWC logo. Prefer the finish on the Trench. Like the dial design on the new watch but want better color choices and prefer a smaller size, 38mm maybe.
Ordered randomly the A1000RCB-1ER today, it was surprisingly in stock on Casio's site. I found out about the watch today, checked how much it is, where you can get, and it was as I saif surprisingly available. Would love to have one of your videos on it, just because you make good videos, but it's not necessary, the watch is way too expensive for what it is, but it's the closest I'll prolly ever get to the dream black A700 with upgraded materials.
I think because they only have the Swiss watch company name due to a loophole in the 90s, the Swiss government makes it very hard for them to change anything about their branding. I bet the Swiss government would not have allowed them to make it SWC
In my opinion, Swiss watch company’s old logo was fine. I don’t care about logos; I just care about a quality timepiece that keeps good time, is easy to read, and is well made. All of Swiss watch company’s watches are just that. A big plus for me is that a majority of their watches have Arabic numerals, which I personally love. They all have a military-inspired field watch look, which, to me, is what a wristwatch should look like. The first wristwatches ever produced for men were designed for military use, adapted from pocket watches to provide a more practical way for soldiers to check the time during World War I. These early military wristwatches typically featured Arabic numerals for easy readability. Swiss watch company watches are the perfect tool watch/everyday watch.
It's quite strange that in a description of Tubler there's three times mentioned Bunker. Were they unable to decide how to name particular model, kept two variants and at the end messed up by merging two documents into one? Or I failed to read/understand it properly? Tumbler Grey Swiss Super-LumiNova: We have set the bar high on the amount of luminescence you can expect from our pieces and the Bunker easily reaches that bar. With 20 layers of Super-LumiNova your watch will easily glow through the night. The added fact that it weighs under 50grams on the strap will have you forgetting you have it on. Water Resistance: A screw down crown gives the SWC Bunker 100 meters of water resistance. Oh, well. They have also a model Bunker. Someone just weren't able to proofread descriptions before publishing 'em. Of course, we are talking about cheap sub-$1000 watches, why bother, mkey.
I just had this adjusted, sorry for the confusion! The Bunker and the Tumbler share nearly identical specs, I modeled certain aspects of the Tumbler spec sheet off of the Bunker and overlooked this. Thank you for pointing it out!
Now, that's a reaction! As they say, quality is measured not by mistakes per se (we all do mistakes), but how company reacts to them. Admitting and fixing them certainly speaks a lot for a company and I'd count this as an extra plus if deciding purchase 👍Not every brand does this.
Nice. But still a little pricey. Looking at their website I like the quartz Ark with the small seconds hand. Bold colors. And one third the price. $225 for Titanium, great lume, and sapphire.
I genuinely didn't have a problem with the old logo, made them feel authentic and like they had some heritage in some ways. The new logo looks modern and gives more of a new age microbrand feel.
The watch itself is ok but nothing compelling for me. The new logo is reminiscent of the Nato one, but much easier on the eye. I bought my first Addiesdive watch now that they have produced the sand dial with no logo. A logo is something you see everytime you look at the watch so it's important.
I actually thought "every watch reviewer put the watch under a faucet and ran water over it? that's a very odd thing to do.." (that's also the only meaning of "rinsed" in the US as well)
I quite like the sterile dial. All that marketing on the face of a watch can all fit on the back. I have seen many cars where all badging has been removed and, for me and perhaps many others, doing this gives the car a much more svelte look.
hay Ben, what do you think to the News Digital watch vault has closed down, did you know anything about it ? Has co founder Paul Thorpe made any statements ? It’s all a bit scary thousands of owners information out there and no information as to why this has happened
I actually really like Swiss watch Companys logo. The key is to have the logo and then the letters underneath it. you can’t just have a picture of the logo by itself. That’s when it looks bad. Of course, what do I know? I used to like the old Christopher Ward logo that was on the side of the watch. Also tensing anus took me out 😂😂
Meh. The secretary/family member responsible for logo design has moved further down the type menu to Copperplate Bold - the fact that it is now tiny saves it
I refuse to buy a San Martin until they sorty their horrendous branding which is a pity as there are a number of watches I would like to invest in if it was not for this.
Honestly the branding looks better, but I still don't know why they didn't just go with SWC. Swill Watch Company is just too much text, thought the split layout text is better than the OG.
I see your point about logo, but i have a different opinion related to field/military watches. DTU2AP, GWW113, A11 and A17, and Pilots, for me, works a lot more without logos. Gives a more utilitarian look. Type I and Type II Divers its a good example too. Thanks for the video man! One of the best on Watch content 🫡🇧🇷
Everyone's going to have a different opinion on this, but to me that subdued blue dial is a perfect match for the titanium watch. It creates an understated, tool watch look. The other dial colors you showed are a complete mismatch imo.
The new logo and branding is definitely better; although, I didn’t really mind the old one either. My wife said I shouldn’t say it, but since I’m a man…😆 Thanks!
A missed opportunity to clean up the branding. The star is NATO-esque but almost looks like an index or function on a watch dial. The full written out brand name underneath is unnecessary, why not just SWC? Otherwise - nice watch.
Funny enough I actually didn't really hate the old logo! I know I'm in the minority haha. But this new one is great too! Although reminds me of the car company Polestar's logo.
I never paid any attention to this American brand, mainly because the logo and name screamed 'Made in China'. The new logo cleans things up a bit but their name is still way too long and generic. I can't think of any other watch brand that tries to cram, that many words below the 12 and their logo.
True - though it does mean Swiss movement, among other things... And straight away, that's enough to set it a clear tier or two at absolute minimum above anything with an NH35 or 8000-series Miyota in it, because it probably means an SW-200 at least - and whilst Ben's right that it can be slightly gritty to hand wind, it's still a significantly better movement than an NH-35.
Thank you for the review Ben! It is always a pleasure to hear your thoughts and see your camera work. I look forward to seeing the scratch test on the titanium!
@swisswatchcompany1710
I have the Bunker and the Hyper-G love them both they are awesome watches. Would love to see the Ark in an automatic version looking to purchase the Trench soon .
I couldn't see why everyone else complained about your old logo, nice watches 👍
The new logo is perfect.
Thank you (again) for changing the logo. It was, quite literally, the only reason I never bought a SWC watch.
New logo is fantastic
I maintain that a large part of Christopher Ward's massive increase in popularity in recent years was the switch from the old "Christopher Ward" logo to the new two flags one.
I'll also add that if Rolex weren't, well, Rolex, they'd get absolutely slammed for printing entire novels on their watch dials.
That crown is pretty tacky too when it is on the 12.
@@rmoffettutube Gotta make sure everyone in a 30 foot radius knows you're wearing a Rolex.
If I ever build a Rolex lookalike, I'll have "Once upon a time..." printed on the dial.
Absolutely agreed. Their previous logos sucked, together with how unknown "Christopher Ward" used to be. They could've used a better name.
Agree, the Christopher Ward branding went from horrible to very nicely executed!
This looks much better! The new logo is awesome!
Very attractive watch. I'll be taking a closer look and will maybe add to "the list".
I’ll give them props for the rebranding. I like it, well done. I’ll look into it and might buy one. Hope they offer the old models with new logo as well
Love the look of the Tumbler!!! Incredible Sleeper of a Watch!!! Can't wait to get a Black DLC and make it a Daily!!!
I really like the new logo and the steps to making a cleaner dial.
This woman loves it. It's a little above my price range for watches but I absolutely love it
New logo looks way better. Stil they need to change the old one on hardware and caseback.
3:15 he says the retail models will have the new logos
@mihaelverk9507 glad to hear that. My wife wears my bunker do maybe its time to buy new model :)
I'm just waiting for the day you can make this video for San Martin. Good job, SWC, the new logo gets rid of those early-90's vibes very well.
Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite
I'm really digging the Tumbler!
A huge improvement & an attractive watch
That's a really nice refresh, that Fuschia Tumbler is really nice
I´d love to see the Trench with the new logo and 150m WR, the new logo works way too much better
Much better!
Huh, I didn't know Polestar made watches :P
Please review ARGOS watch. It's fairly new watch brand from India.
Looks like the Polestar logo
The new logo is tasteful and I wouldn’t be upset to look at it, I think job well done; they look like great watches.
Vast improvement 👍
You can never go wrong with subtle !!
I like the new logo.
Cool watch, imho...
I think it looks damn nice.
As I can afford only low costers, I love your reviews! Great quality! And after some videos I was seriously considering San Martin 😂 You are convincing!

I really like the new branding on this watch, the ‘star’ is surely supposed to be the cross of the Swiss flag though, that’s what it looks like to me.
Like the new SWC logo. Prefer the finish on the Trench. Like the dial design on the new watch but want better color choices and prefer a smaller size, 38mm maybe.
The new logo is an improvement and it’s clear there are making steps in the right direction. That minuet track is upsetting but no watch is perfect.
I think original logo looks good
Yeah, I said that
Ordered randomly the A1000RCB-1ER today, it was surprisingly in stock on Casio's site. I found out about the watch today, checked how much it is, where you can get, and it was as I saif surprisingly available.

The new logo is very good, simple, with class, it Will age very well.
Sir BEN you could please do the review of SEIKO spb 453❤😊😮
Disagree about the titanium color being less premium. I would say highly polished stainless steel appearance looks more budget.
The new watch isn't my cup of tea, but respect to the makers for listening and improving that logo. Vastly better now.
Prefer the dial with all Arabic numbers from 1-12. Do like the Titanium when used for case and bracelet.
To be honest the previous logo wasn't that bad in my opinion. I didn't mind at all.
Happy to see the revised logo. Perhaps just the cross going forward?
Not sure why they needed a logo. Just use the SWC initials, like IWC. 🤷♂️
I think because they only have the Swiss watch company name due to a loophole in the 90s, the Swiss government makes it very hard for them to change anything about their branding. I bet the Swiss government would not have allowed them to make it SWC
@FirstNameLastName-tx6td Interesting! Thanks for the explanation. 🙂
I would love a 36mm-38mm version. I have a small wrist!!
This looks pretty handsome - even though I don't like numbers on a watch.
I think they've done a good job with the rebrand. I didn't hate the old logo but I like this one a little more.
Didn't mind the old SWC logo, but I appreciate the content and articulating how the majority of enthusiasts might have felt
If the trench gets the new logo and they remove the word trench from the dial, I am buying it
Nice watch, the logo seems close to the new Bremont logo but in fairness i think SWC got there first.
Hey Ben, I would like to ask if you can review the Perrelet Turbine. Either on this channel or In The Loupe.
Rinsed. Then roasted. Then torched.
Man, it just keeps getting worse the longer this video stays up! 😆
In my opinion, Swiss watch company’s old logo was fine. I don’t care about logos; I just care about a quality timepiece that keeps good time, is easy to read, and is well made. I actually like the old logo better, got a Bunker and a Hyper G just in time before they changed it. Great watches, top vfm!
Personally a nice piece...

To be honest, I don't really understand the hate.
My reaction: "Yep. That's definitely a logo."
Nice review
The star is much better than the rear view of an animal for a logo
I genuinely didn't have a problem with the old logo, made them feel authentic and like they had some heritage in some ways. The new logo looks modern and gives more of a new age microbrand feel.
Their old logo was charming! I dug it. It didn’t look soulless and sterile like so many start-up watch brands
The new logo is a 10/10 improvement. But I definitely prefer the Trench.
Nice vid G
The watch itself is ok but nothing compelling for me. The new logo is reminiscent of the Nato one, but much easier on the eye. I bought my first Addiesdive watch now that they have produced the sand dial with no logo. A logo is something you see everytime you look at the watch so it's important.
Interesting. Does look at bit like a industrial sector pilot.
Nice watch. It looks a little like the Helm Miyako
So much better
"RINSED"? In Canada that's what happened after washing something. What's the UK slang meaning?
It means that here too ha, but in slang it means 'mocked' or 'humiliated' as well.
I actually thought "every watch reviewer put the watch under a faucet and ran water over it? that's a very odd thing to do.." (that's also the only meaning of "rinsed" in the US as well)
Haha, I may have to change that, didn't realise it wasn't a saying abroad!
@@BensWatchClubI think the American equivalent is Panned.

Hmm... We have a plastic movement holder ring. Anyone willing to bet on a ghost crown position for the date wheel that is still there under the dial?

a spy wallet to go with your spyPhone. Can't wait.

Seems to be an improvement but they really should have changed the stupid company name.
Everyone's going to have a different opinion on this, but to me that subdued blue dial is a perfect match for the titanium watch. It creates an understated, tool watch look. The other dial colors you showed are a complete mismatch imo.
I kinda like the old logo they probably just needed to slightly stylize it
I, for one, hate all watches with a cross logo (CW and SWC)
The new logo and branding is definitely better; although, I didn’t really mind the old one either.

A missed opportunity to clean up the branding. The star is NATO-esque but almost looks like an index or function on a watch dial. The full written out brand name underneath is unnecessary, why not just SWC? Otherwise - nice watch.
If it's meant to be a field watch, one wishes they had brushed the entire bracelet and skipped the polished center links.
It needs a date window at six. The watch I can't own because of the name is BALL. I know the brand has a history, but I just can't do it.
The old logo is an alarm clock, isn't it?

Reminds me of a Nodus.
It's not really a new logo, is it? It's the same one, slightly rearranged and missing one element. I dislike the "plus-sign"
Better, but why so large?
Remember, usually Swiss made doesn't actually mean Swiss made.
Exactly. Swiss fairytales.
I don’t buy them.
True - though it does mean Swiss movement, among other things... @EnglishTMTB only 60% of the production cost needs to be Swiss not 60% of the parts.
