I love the crocheted square added. I might even make a square in colors that I love and add it to one of my jackets. Thank you for sharing your ideas. ❤
I have a couple of orphan scrappy quilt blocks that will now happily sit on a boring denim jacket in my wardrobe ✂️✂️ thanks so much and happy sewing from Australia😊😊. PS new subby here. 🙉
Hi, Julie! Weird coincidence, I have a friend named “Julie Werner” here in Wisconsin! Glad you are putting those beautiful scrappy blocks to work. Just keep sewing!
I love using it, Tami. It works so well for pressing, especially when pressing large yards of fabric. If you do decide to get one and use Amazon, feel free to use my link in my video description to help out my channel. ❤️
Loved the video! I notice all of your lovely headbands in your videos💕. Do you make them? If so, do you use a specific pattern? I wear headbands and would love to have some really cute and snazzy ones! Thank you☺️
Thanks for the compliment! Some of my headbands are store bought, but most of them are just scarves that I thrift. I either wrap them around a skinny headband or use on their own.
Love the video. I was thinking of using a cotton crocheted doily and putting it into cut out sections on a denim jacket (in a large oval or round shape). Do you think the same stabilizer might work?
Thanks for watching! Are you going to cut the doily? The cut edges might need to be sewn under or it will fray. I have used a product called "Fray Check". It's a clear glue that seals the edges of fabrics that fray easily. Let me know how it turns out!
@@ArtfullySew yes, I had to cut it. What I did was first use a stitch witch kind of product to lay it down on the denim. I think used the fabric tack glue between those two fabrics and a denim seam tape I made from old jeans. It looks good. But I would like to do one where I cut out the denim (just not by the panels), such as a heart design. It is definitely a process.
Im using a large granny square - stiffened ,for an upcycled jean tote...see how it goes. Using double sided fusible web around edges and center. Ironing from behind.
I love the idea of putting crocheted items on a jean jacket omg
I’m working on repurposing crocheted afghans into sleeves for jean jackets or sweaters - video coming soon!

I wish my great grandma had told me that too :)
I was on the fence about getting the Cricut Easy Press since I already own an iron or two. You may have just convinced me. Cute jacket!

Findyourself some "Baby" Vaseline. It's the only thing that works for me and smells nice.
