The Wallace Collection is possibly my favorite museum, just anywhere. The university where I was studying while in London for a few months was just around the corner and I went all the time. I just adore that place!
I am a museum lover. I went to London last October for 4 days only, but I didn´t lose the opportunities to visit the museum. I visited Natural History Museum, V&A museum, British Museum and National Gallery. I can´t wait to go back and visit more.
When I went to London a few years ago, I made sure to cram in as much museums as humanly possible. I think the National Portrait Gallery was my favorite. Really need to go back...Oh, and I always manage to find the perfect gifts at museum gift shops.
Honestly hearing you pronounce van Gogh the English way kind of freaked me out. ;) I appreciated the video. I would rather see stuff like this , then never see the footage and your thoughts about your adventures and travels.
Thank you for this beautiful video!!! I’m an art history student and live in the US. I’m jealous of all these beautiful museums. Eventually I hope to make it over there one day!
Your vlogs are my favorite vlogs, they are relaxing, aesthetically pleasing and so inspiring. Also, museums have a very special place in my heart, so it was really cool getting to know some of your faves. My favorite museum is not in London (because I have never been there lol), but it's El Museo del Prado, in Madrid; I can only describe it as an absolute dream: Goya, Velázquez, Rubens... it is HUGE, and you can spend the entire day there, it truly is one of my most beloved places in the world.
If you're visiting the Dulwich Picture Gallery, pop over to the Horniman Museum too! It's small but perfectly formed, with an anthropology collection and an aquarium as well as a natural history collection with the world's best stuffed walrus. Exhibits change frequently and on a nice day you can sit in the gardens outside and get a cracking view of London.
If you want to add to the list, head to the John Soane Museum near Holborn! A weird and wonderful place to explore on a rainy Sunday. Have lived in London 6 years and only just stumbled across it, it's now one of my favourites.
I loved this video! Thanks! I feel so inspired now to visit more museums and read more books and just consume more art in general. Art makes everyday life special
I had no idea behind the scenes tours could be booked on to. I’ll be in London soon, so going to check my dates and then going to book into one at the natural history museum - it looks amazing! I love the Wellcome Collection, full of amazing artefacts that get switched out often due the amount of items they have. When I went there last time were sections for medicine, birth, death etc... some of the things are a bit morbid, but if you can cope with that then it’s fascinating
I'd love to wander through a museums basement storage! What a treat! I've been meaning to go visit the Cleveland Art Museum again. It's my favorite. I also want to check out the International Women's Air & Space Museum.
Great Video! I also love the Swing in the Wallace collection! A recent discovery is the Design Museum in Kensington, it's in a really cool building and they have lots of interesting temporary exhibitions. I also love the art collection at Kenwood House and the environment there makes for a perfect day of art appreciation! The National portrait gallery is great as well, it's normally quieter than the National Gallery which is always super busy.
It's possible at the time you went to the Tate Britain that the Waterhouse paintings were actually in Australia! I know that there was a pre-Raphaelite exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia just recently and that those two paintings were a part of it so they should be back soon
One of my favorite parts of studying abroad in London this spring was the museums! I really liked the British Museum but my favorite was a special Edward Burne-Jones exhibit at the Tate
Sir John Soane's museum is unlike any other. I loved my visit there. I also really liked the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow because I hadn't known anything about Morris going into it, but he is now one of my favorite people. The Grant Zoology museum is also a unique spot to visit! I believe all three are free.
I'm sure you know about the Wellcome Collection and its amazing reading room. I discovered it around VidCon because one of the London Nerdfighters, she is also dutch btw., organizes regular Facebook events for their late nights. :)
museum review content is something i never knew i needed until now.

Ahh yes, I haven't been for ages, but it's incredible!

The Museum of London (near barbican tube) is also really interesting. Plus, the walk there takes in some of the oldest remains of London... ☺
Great video!! It's another motivation for me to save up for a trip to London. Love the terrarium also!!
+Katrina Petilla I love him!! Glad you liked it. :)

Not necessarily lesser known but The Serpentine Galleries are lovely for those who enjoy contemporary art on a sunny day ❤️❤️.
Tate Britain amazing indeed!
Had Francis Bacon's paintings all to myself!
I think The Lady of Shalott and Ophelia are being shown at a preraphaelite exhibit in Milan right now, but they should come back!!
Excellent news!

This is so great, taking notes for a future trip to London! Thank you!
".. I basically felt like Emily Graslie for the day" =)
Thank you for this video, I hope I can go to one of those museums someday.
The design museum is my absolute favourite. And Kew Gardens if you can count that.

Museams make the best dates!
There are so many great museums in London! Have you checked out Sir John Soane's Museum yet? Such a gem... 🥰
I basically did the exact same thing for a few days in London the other week! I could have seen you 😭
Seems like I have to book a flight to London soon 😂🤗
Have you been to the Jeoffrey? I loved it, although I haven’t been since my London trip in 2013.
*starts planning a day of museums in london
It's called chor bazar in India
Anyone else reacted with VAN GO? VAN GO?!? until she finally said the dutch pronunciation
Haha day to day I use the pronunciation most people will understand. But gotta throw the 'g' in there when I can.
hehe I lived briefly in Amsterdam and the first thing I asked about whas how do you actually pronounce that name properly :D She confirmed it.
