- so yeah i decided to be the first who ever recreates that lovely mall known by yall from kanepixel's "The oldest view" series to be fully playable in gmod.

honestly that's like my biggest project yet and i think that it'll be out on the workshop for everyone to play in 2 - 2.5 months if everything goes as it's supposed to go.

Thank you much for doing this i grew up in Dallas, went to this mall everyday as a kid due to me boxing in a gym inside the mall, I’m still a boxer and have really fond memories of this place, and yea when it was active it was liminal as fuck, and I have some videos of me and some friends exploring through when it was abandoned, we knew the property manager, and we have goodies from the mall that I can send you, have some amc signs, there was also a hidden room with a literal fucking boat that the manager used, hmu with any questions.

I spent several minutes looking for this on the workshop and I was kinda shocked someone hadn’t made it yet, since TOV3 released like 7 months ago. But this is amazing, this is easily my favorite good map and I CANNOT wait for it to release!

If you find a way to turn this into a horror map with the giant being a nextbot. Then i am sold

yeah I already made that it's called "The Rolling Giant [NPC / NEXTBOT]
I think he hs already dont it because the bit at 0:52 on the top right you can see a shadow that lookes weird so my theory is that hes gonna make a fake wall so yea there you go

love this, 60s-90s architecture is getting representation on gmod, i have a question, will the exterior doors be blocked off by dirt like in the original series or will it be the real mall, also will back areas like egress hallways be accessible

Will there be a way to turn off the malls lights?
i tried and it's not possible
I mean it is possible to toggle baked lighting but with that many lights lighting up the entire scene it's not possible due to source's limitations

can you add an option to remove the music and remove the rolling giant prop so we can replace the prop with an npc and remove the music for videos that could require that.

no it is not
I made it completely myself in gmod's map editor called hammer. this map has nothing to do with Roblox
