U r spot on about AC in the gyms. There is a gym in Thailand in Pattaya called Muscle Factory. Probably the best gym I have ever been to in my life but no AC and I was sweating as much just working out as u would in a steam room. Can be brutal. Vietnam is a great country with amazing people. Solid video. Enjoy dude.
Nice video on the costs in DaNang. It must be a big difference coming from Colombia. I like your money breakdown. Enjoy VN, as all the places have a lot to offer. Try not to fall in love right away . :)
I Agree about The Accumprurist . I'm seeing one Now & He is Also a Chiropractor. Its Hard to Eat clean nothing that has Eyes, Dairy, Yougurt , but I really like his Treatments! I was diagnosed with Inflammation!
How much English is understood? What quality is health care? Is there health insurance? What visa options for retirees? Are there retirement homes / nursing homes (and quality/price) for expats who will need this option eventually?
Hello great video , can you pleas tell me if the electronics like Apple phones, macbooks , and DJI drones are expensive in Vietnam ? Im planing to move to Da Nang by the end of this year and wondering if I should buy these items in Canada or not ? Thank you
Cool vid, bro! I'm going to be exploring Vietnam and Philippines when I retire. I'm thinking Da Nang might be too far north for me? Do you have any insider knowledge of Na Trang?
On my second trip to Hoi An I was underwhelmed because of the massive tourism and the quality of the clothing seem to have gone down. On my return I'm going to completely redo my wardrobe. Do they do any custom tailoring at the G-Men shops? Like you I have traveled extensively throughout South America and Asia, a total of 7 years. Don't know your citizenship but were you able to get the three month Visa? We should cross path sometime, Don't know exactly when I'll be there.
Which of the TA Galaxy gyms did you go to, do they vary? I took my teenagers there 6 years ago, came back a couple years later but only could stay for 3 weeks cuz of the COVID. I'm now in Thailand and headed back to Vietnam in a couple of months. I love it.
I'm studying to become an app web developper. I'm vietnamese born in Canada and I want to live in Vietnam. I want to become a digital nomad but I don't know if it's hard to achieve, like which company would allow me...
@KFC431 hey bro I'm canadian retired sold my business years ago but working on new venture now my advice for you is get into sales or opp a app dev company and pitch your service to European and Australian u will make enough to live a luxury life in vietnam good luck
@@MRZE506 Hey! I am UK based, and want to move to Vietnam once I have my AWS cert and then either work remotely from there, or work for a company in VN, HCMC specifically. Do you think thats do-able or would you still recommend sales/app dev?
@Sa7biUK absolutely sales is simple the harder u work the more u get paid vietnam is dirt cheap if ur sales a aws job is paying u over 1200$ a month u pretty much living like the 1% in vietnam I would say even here in argentina where I am at now 1200 is way to much 700$ amonth and ur good here only thing u git to worry is time zone if vietnam fits ur good plus visas are now 3month vs 1month last year
Why is it that things are open late at night in Vietnam? Cause of people's different way of living I guess but how, I would like to know. I can't believe it's cause they sleep less.
Anyone heading to Vietnam soon? I'm a digital marketer/web designer on the lookout for like-minded people to team up with. I am excited to get a lot of work done.
But what if you’re 6’2” and not Asian. Can you still find clothes and girls? I worry about that but maybe it’s not as difficult anymore. I know it used to be an issue.
I think the doctor and nurse know how to speak english, they have to learn that in school, the old doc dont know but the one that come up will have to take english classes, that is like every country i think.
Thank you for your time and posting. Subscribed. You are doing about what I hope to do at the end of the year, except the moto, not for me. I'm checking out VN in September to see if I want to retire there. I am hoping it works out. You are the first one to mention a video game shop. I've been playing COD since 2005. :) Yep, not married. And will look for a computer shop as well. I'd happily pay US$60 for that gym with a lap pool. Western medicine equals drugs, lots of drugs. Thanks again.
was just there for 3 months my apt was 170 a month utt 43 a month food was great moto a month80 dollars it was hot hot the people were rude don't like foreigners money hunger they are so so self centered the visa every 3 months no good and no retirement visa they just want your money beach is alright nothing great and they have way way to many rules just dont get in trouble there cost you a lot and when you go there you dont know the rules you have to find out maybe the hard way the great thing is the flights were great Vietnam air is great good luck people its communist i will just stay in Cambodia thank you
I never ate the street food anywhere in Thailand. I'm very particular when it comes to cleanliness. Would you say Vietnam has stricter rules on street food cleanliness?

Hello Wes I am eating Vegan Pho soup while I am watching this video lol. Thanks for the video. Have a Bless Day!
Out of context but Wes did you read that article in EL TIEMPO yesterday about Medellin EXPATS...Pure Gold.
I did not, link it here
Yeah can you link it please
@@TheSlashSlingingSlasher I did earlier but it was removed : ( Google: ElTiempo Medellin Expats. The article came out 2 days ago.

$550 one bedroom for rent outside of HCMC is expensive for Vietnam standard 🛏️
Yeah I thought so too
What do you consider outside of Sgn? I know DaNang is cheaper than Sgn
Hey Wes I love the Vietnam vibe bro. So you see yourself staying on for a while?
Just one more week in Saigon then off to then Philippines

Where do you find these short term rentals when you travel? Airbnb?
Yeah usually Airbnb
You seem more in your element once you left colombia. Definitely on your hero arc.
More freedom and less weight on my shoulders for sure. Plus, being in a culture that is super familiar to me
@WheresWes yeah make sense. Seems to be a lot cheaper as well. Either way I would totally be down to go to Asia one day. Cheap rent and healthy food.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences 😊
Thank u..I plan on retiring there
Very helpful, thank you

Bro! You’re selling me on Vietnam. Love the peoples. Got mad Viet homies in the states. You ever find yourself saying “DUMA!” 😂
Vietnam is lit bro, I have really loved it
5:02 well noted. Thank you =D
I swear vietnam is lit only problem is the time differences if you work in eastern us
True. But 100% it's lit here

Can you please leave the contact info for the accupuncture doctore?
+ $500 more for gf cost
That's a question, you can live unbelievable cheap in hcmc d1. Free haircut, free vegetarian and delicious food.
Bruh HCMC D1 is literally all commercial. Dist 2, 4, or 7 is where you want to live, with 4 in particular being very good value for money
When are the best 3 months to be in Da Nang?

Wow, a bowl of pho cost $10 here in cali. That is insane cheap
$10 a bowl is cheap. In my neck of the wood the prices are between $11.50 to $15 US$.
@thomaskim3128 strange. I know pho spots that sell for that much but those areas and neighborhoods tend to be upscale.
Given that the average monthly salary in VN is $300, that makes sense
Try $15 in London mate
Just paid 20 for beef stew noodle soup, miss da nang!
see if your buddy will do a video with his breakdown

What do you do to earn income? And what do your buddies do?
Australian dollars? New Zealand dollars? Canadian dollars? American dollars?
Monopoly dollars
Do people speak english there? Also what about an emergency case like going to a hospital or something will they speak to you in english well?
I think the doctor and nurse know how to speak english, they have to learn that in school, the old doc dont know but the one that come up will have to take english classes, that is like every country i think.
It would be so easy to bulk there.

Are you cool with the heat and humidity? I'd love to do the same thing, but being from the Bay Area, I don't know man!
