    Hello Blixel.
Although the printed documentation specifies only three encounter areas, a DM can add as many others as desired.
Some thoughts on that topic might include:
The Pirate's Den: A pirate's den is found along the coast of the island. Depending upon character levels, there may a few, some, or many pirates in residence when the characters come across the area. There are multiple ways of doing this... few 'high' level pirates (all, or most have hit dice equal to the party members), some higher level (a few equaling the party member's levels in hit dice), or many low-level pirates (all being roughly equal to the starting levels of the characters, with perhaps a captain as a higher level threat).
The Castaway(s): The party finds a person (choose race, level, and profession) living alone in a remote area of the island. They have salvaged what they could from the shipwreck that stranded them here, and they have built a home, with traps and tricks, and a garden area. He, She, or They, will be grateful for rescue from the island and will accompany the party to Dragon's Rest and take the next ship out from there to the Sword Coast. (This is basically Robinson Caruso or the Swiss Family Robinson). The Castaway(s) have some treasure they can part with, above what would be needed to purchase a way off the island.
The Reverse Tower: A Mage has dug a 'tower' into the solid rock of the island. The 'tower' is multiple levels 'tall' and the deepest level is the Mage's sanctuary and study. Upon discovery, the mage will 'hire' the party to go to another area of the island to steal a Giant Eagle's egg for his experiments. If successful, the party will gain gold, gems, or some magic item (suggested items: Wand of Magic Missiles. A Wand of Wonder. or perhaps a set of Night Vision Goggles. etc). The Mage might have several Kobold apprentices, and after completion of the quest, his 'tower' will seemingly disappear.
Random Monster Encounters: The current adventure booklet already has at least one such encounter, and a good DM can provide many more for the player's characters to encounter and deal with.
Skull Cave: The entrance to the caves resembles a crudely shaped dragon's skull. Within is a tribe of whatever race the DM wishes to place there. These are the descendants of castaways from yet another shipwreck. There should be at least 30 to 40 of them, scattered across several caverns. They still speak Common, but over the century or more of their plight, they have become cannibals and see the party members as food. They have crude weapons like Goblin tribes, and they have gleaned many treasures from the shores of the island over their time there. DM's discretion as to what the party finds and how much of it, although they may have raided the Pirate's Den and have a chest of loot stolen from the Pirates.
As one can see, if the party wishes to remain on the island, they can find and deal with many things and encounters. And one does NOT have to limit themselves to those I have described above.
    Just a few thoughts.

ow Sparky fights to the death, he's pretty courageous, I wonder if we should have him order the kobolds to fight the party to kill them or at least slow them down while the ritual takes place..
I don't see why he would go down to fight a battle he's already lost alone..
Maybe the kobolds knows he's been defeated by the party before and abandon him afraid to face the party..
