I wouldn't recommend not taking Survival Instinct for most people out there. 4/5 Feral Agression vs 5/5 FA is a ~20 DPS loss and if you can use Survival Instinct on a fight and spent more time on a mob because of it, it'll be worthier than the point in Feral Agression.

Fair point. I just don’t know how often this situation arises, and you still have barkskin every minute. Most fights in TOGC, maybe with the exception of Faction Champs, you’re not in serious danger of death as a dps.

@@chaoticoli09 I think the people not needing it are the raids that generally don't need those kind of cooldowns or have issues with damage going out. For my raid, I 100% take it since threat can be an issue at times or hell even just needing to offtank for a second or two while the tank gets battle ressed.

@@chaoticoli09 freya is a good fight especially in pugs where survival instincts lets you gain more dps. also in icc you can take 1 more stack of the debuff from sindragosas blistering cold (or how its called) before going out for the explosion.

In my own sims, I find Cunning Deception to sim almost identically(slightly higher) to Sunreaver Assassin Gloves as the off piece. This is with Rugs' set and a 1 for 1 swap with some gem swaps for caps

I get a small increase to dps if you use Arp food and pick up a couple extra gem socket bonuses

Why would you use Sunreaver's over Cunning Deception?

You get to utilize the stats on both assassin gloves and the tier 9 legs slightly better than with cunning deception and tier 9 gloves. You will be a bit off with hit rating, so you suddenly have to gem that, meaning you're missing out on an extra socket with 20 str which would otherwise have gone there. The white stats from cunning deception does somewhat make up for it, and the difference is only 6~ dps, so it is a very minor optimization. You'd be completely fine not going for tier 9 legs and gloves instead if you already have cunning deception, this is just super minmax.
