Still the most powerful hunter build in the game. What's it been, 3 seasons of domination now? Ever since this build skated through legend Seraph Station it's been absolutely busted. Thanks for the awesome guide, Mac!!
For anyone coming to this video late. The Double Special Weapon = More Heavy thing has been patched. Double Special is still a solid choice but if youre doing it strictly to get more heavy ammo, dont bother.

Overall amazing guide again Mactics! Thank you for your time crafting this because it was truly worth it. Fun experience
Just managed to complete all encounters wihtout dying, just not in one session. My dps phases were awful. Biggest problems were having to switch between Arby and any Exotic Heavy (swapping loadouts) constantly, and the adds that spawn during dps (especially Final Boss). This video is so damn chill and its a breath of fresh air seeing someone not needing to switch loadouts for dps phase Edit: managed to get Solo Flawless! Took two days of practice and damned near an hour and a half for the last boss fight but I’ve done it! Guardian 11 for the second time :). Excellent video!
Symbol callouts really are nuts. Like, they’re akin to Rorschach symbols. Every single person I play with has different names for all of them and it cracks me up trying to guess what they’re talking about based on the name they give it. I gave them all silly little names when Pit of Heresy came out and I’ve stuck with them since. Also, fantastic video and build. I’ll try this later to see how it goes :)

Just wanted to say I love you build and you've changed the way i play the game love all your stuff. Gonna follow this to try to solo flawless tonight 😁 thank you for being awesome
I saw this video more than a week ago and I thought I really should attempt this for the title. With time restraint, I could only manage go up to the first boss and killing myself (in-game. Lol) by picking up the wrong rune. But the suggested loadout without actually switching to multiple ones were really good! I might attempt this again soon. If I couldn't get it solo flawless, I don't mind by clearing it as a solo as well. Been looking for a useful arc hunter build for a bit now. Thank you so much! I'll update here again when I finally get it to clear (hopefully).
Havent solo'd flawless but i was finally able to solo the dungeon. Big thanks to you for your loadout! I used ascendency rocket since I dont have anything else. Gonna attempt my flawless soon. Again thank you! Ps it took me eight phases lol gonna improve it
I don’t knpw if you mentioned this but a very helpful tip that can save your flawless is that if you forget your symbol you can run into another room and kill that hive guy to reset your countdown I also did this on solar Titan but don’t bother using your super on the boss you do more damage by using rockets just save it as a panic button Also lucent moth spawns on: 1. Spawning a symbol (first two only) 2. When volgoroth respawn I couldn’t really when he respawns so just be hyper vigilant after killing knight
Got it done today, I used arc hunter too. For fisrt boss I used Tractor, but the Lament strategy seems faster (I took 6 DMG phases), and for the second boss I used Arby. One to Punch and a Linear for the consistency and safety (7 phases). This is by far the longest DG I did, 1:55h to complete, but it's done. Hope Bungie do something about the bosses HP, it's not fun do all that phases
@@tje210tje i agree, unless it's a easy setup like SotW last boss, the first one I think should be like you said. For the other DGs too, 3 phases should be the maximum
Ikelos crafted shotgun with 1-2p and turnabout is amazing for this build and dungeon. Turnabout procs of mothshields and gives you overshield and reload
Just got my first ever solo flawless done after several tries using this build. Thanks so much Mactics! Probably gonna try and do some of the other dungeons next
Good stuff as always. Just me personally, I had rly hard times to workout the Lament strat. Always got wiped in seconds. So I had to use the Tractor + Liar's build. Way easier to use imo.
I'm doing the exact same combo with lament but my health is never full like yours is... getting very frustrated. My swings are connecting just fine but I don't know if I'm getting unlucky with all the boomer knights spamming me or what. Power is 1819.
You make it look so easy. My nerves get the best of me and I start shaking. I may skip soloing this one. Not sure I have it in me to fail on phase four or five of the final boss. Great guide as usual though! Wish I could keep as calm as you do.
For that last encounter, Palmyra-B might also be a solid option as it does slightly less damage but comes with built-in tracking due to the Hakke Precision Frame, so you get a free perk. Autoloading Holster is very easy to use and allows you to use all that time you would spend reloading punching adds, or you could go with Impulse Amplifier for faster reloads. Patterns are very easy to find so most people can probably craft one, rather than grinding a zillion vanguard engrams for the proper Hothead roll or finding a fireteam to run Last Wish for Apex Pred.
A helpful tip, if you foegot to look at a symbol, and dont want to guess, then go to one of the other hive gaurdian rooms, look at that symbol, then kill that hive gaurdian and fi ish its ghost, it will overwrite and refresh the one you have, since you can only hold one at at time
finally trying out some practice runs for the solo flawless. 1st boss killed me through the lament combo due to another hive knight blasting me with their GL but i decided to just go through and honestly.. the final boss is significantly easier than i was expecting. Yeah she has a shit ton of health and it took forever but the first boss was more chaotic than this one for me, i didnt even die to this encounter at all on my first run. Gonna try again tomorrow maybe, thanks for the tips!
Finished my solo flawless last night using this guide and it was a huge help. The only additional tips I can provide that weren’t already mentioned: During Echtar, immediately after dunking the last vestige, killing an orange bar night (for extended invis) and then sitting behind the yellow bar night until the invis ran out and then a little after before killing him helped run out as much of the bosses super and prevented any extra chances of him hitting you with extra damage from the shield throw etc. On the final boss to start the encounter I would go to the left hand near the lower entrance to the hive acolyte guardian to start procing combination blow because the moths that the boss spits out at the beginning would go to the acolytes at the bottom of the arena where mactics mentions he like to start. If I started at that lower area I had a huge risk of getting hit by the moths if my melee didn’t track to the same acolyte each time.
Just tried out your strategy and it is really safe! Sadly I was too tired in that last DPS cycle and I dumped at the wrong spot and died. But other than that, it was such a good run for me.
The flat sandwich is just a sandwich, the egg shape with a line through it is hamburger! :D Excellent video man, thanks very much - not touched my assassin's cowl hunter build since Lightfall dropped, time to dust it off it looks like :)
I kinda figured it would be this build or Gyrfalcons purely for the invisibility you can have nearly all the time plus the artifact mods for this seasons.
Gyrfalcons worked for me with my fireteam. We kinda have a easily flustered teammate so i basically just cleared litereally every add in the 1st boss room while he waited for our other teammate to do runes.
@@clck these bosses aren't an issue. Every single dungeon solo means unless you run OMEGA optimal (and often dangerous) DPS, it's just easier to take as many phases as needed. The only requirement is not dying and you can only do so much DPS and ad control as a solo. I prefer to take the route that err's on the side of safety. The health pools of these bosses isn't a lot, it's just the DPS windows are not that long. I feel like 4-6 phasing bosses is plenty good enough when you have so much safety in either of these builds.
This build is absolutely amazing… I didn’t realize that when I was putting it together, I forgot spark of shock…. that fragment makes a whole world of difference for the Ecthar damage portion… throwing down the grenade will jolt him which makes all of the obnoxious knights that do massive amounts of damage to you die from the jolt
honestly if youre struggling with dps and/or dont have lament, put on 2 melee damage resistance mods and use liars handshake with the one two punch perk, just keep punching and dodging and shoot your shotgun after 2 melee hits, youll heal and dont have to worry about ads around you due to the melee jolting to them
19:31 fun fact the ads will spawn infinitely we did this day one and it took us about 30 min to figure out this encounter and I was ad clearing the whole time and I ended the dungeon with 1700 kills so yeah they keep comin
One thing I’d like to warn is that I noticed when my team ran this dungeon for the first time, my Omnioculus dive would trigger the Lucent Moths and make them explode, which would kill me, so beware of where you dive
You got tracking module on ur hothead? The moths btw she will send once u unlock a symbol after lining up the ring with the hive symbol after she teleports. She also will send them right after a dps phase. If u kill vorlog and u werent in a ring is another moth swarm.
Just solo flawlessed the dungeon. You saved me on both the bosses. Thank you so much for the in depth guide, I don’t think I could’ve done the solo flawless without it 🙂
Lots of great tips, thank you. I didn't know the one about not doing heart first, that was very helpful. 38:45 Unfortunately in an otherwise clean run, I did die to the moths in one of those rare moments when there were no ads up. The solution I came up with is to switch between Ager's Septer and Arbalest; Ager's for moths just in case, and then switching to Arbalest just before boss damage, while invisible. Got my solo flawless done after that!
YO heres a Massive shout out to Mactics for the guide and stickin to a promise if his guide helped id leave a comment>>well here it is lol>> thanks dude taking out the knights out first is a big help .. havent managed it flawless yet but this guide will help me get there>>nice one
I don't know why but my Lament wasn't working right against 1st boss. It's like the chain would break so I wouldn't heal, thus ruining dps and resulting in a wipe
Probably with Apex Predator's bait and switch 35% buff instead of 25 from explosive it would deal enough to be a consistent 5 phase with all that ammo on the ground. Definitely going to try that
@@jshock2008 you can easily switch to a primary just for the sake of activating bait and switch, and then when the dps phase gas ended switch back to a shotgun, all while invisibile
another great option is radiant dance machines in a secondary dps load out to switch to. as long as you get a melee kill you can keep dodging to get through your rockets faster for more dps
on the part where you invis to skip the adds first time. when jumping down and you skipped those bubbles. if you hug left you can land on the second floor where secret chest is too. if you go that way its just 1 eager edge jump upwards to next portal. way faster. not a huge deal just worth noting.
I have a Hothead with Tracking and Adrenaline Junkie, which is great for this last fight. I can nade the thrall and get 33% bonus damage for a couple of shots, which helps a little bit! It's arc, so it can take advantage of those surges too! :D
I'm gonna attempt a solo run for this, despite being this my 2nd ever attempt of the dungeon. Hope this works well and I'll update this when it happens.

Just beat it third try and I’m not a hunter main. Thanks for the great video and keep up the good work sir 👍
Thanks for the guide! So much good info here. Just finished my solo run. This weekend we go again and attempt flawless :)
I havent tried this yet but you made this set up simple and easy to understand. Earned a sub for sure
Mactics!! Thank you so much for the guide! Just completed the dungeon solo!!
I'm doing the exact same combo with lament but my health is never full like yours is... getting very frustrated. My swings are connecting just fine but I don't know if I'm getting unlucky with all the boomer knights spamming me or what. Power is 1819.
Always clear and on point. Thanks, Mac.
Just got solo flawless done. Thanks for the tips. Appreciate the videos Mantics!!
This was the best dungeon breakdown I’ve seen! Thanks!
You make it look so easy. My nerves get the best of me and I start shaking. I may skip soloing this one. Not sure I have it in me to fail on phase four or five of the final boss. Great guide as usual though! Wish I could keep as calm as you do.
Nah you got it! Nerves are natural, happens to me too. The more you attempt the more comfortable and calm you become, dont give up!
Just use levi's breath
Well, I completed the dungeon solo with this guide. Couldn't do it all in one run since it is so dang long, but now I know I can.
Love your most chillout guides! Keep it up!
Thank you! I've just solo flawlessed Ghosts of the Deep dungeon following your guide.
29:50 "so what did you learn?" "Mostly point, shoot and jump"
Very comprehensive and informative. Subscribed.
Your guides and builds are always so helpful to me
You definitely helped me get my run today! Appreciate it!
U make this look so easy, def trying this when i get home
Got my solo flawless done tonight on solar titan. Thanks for your vids bro huge help. May try arc hunter next
Thank you for your solo guide video! It helped me get the new solo flawless emblem 😊! 1500+ punches later haha
Just soloed this today after watching this video. Thanks for the build bro
Finished my solo flawless last night using this guide and it was a huge help. The only additional tips I can provide that weren’t already mentioned:
During Echtar, immediately after dunking the last vestige, killing an orange bar night (for extended invis) and then sitting behind the yellow bar night until the invis ran out and then a little after before killing him helped run out as much of the bosses super and prevented any extra chances of him hitting you with extra damage from the shield throw etc.
I didn't get flawless but the guide worked great!!!! It was my 5th total clear. :)
Boss dps?
@@Nick-82 hahaha I have people in my clan like that. It's amusing.
Excellent guide, I enjoyed the video. Earned yourself a sub!
honestly if youre struggling with dps and/or dont have lament, put on 2 melee damage resistance mods and use liars handshake with the one two punch perk, just keep punching and dodging and shoot your shotgun after 2 melee hits, youll heal and dont have to worry about ads around you due to the melee jolting to them
19:31 fun fact the ads will spawn infinitely we did this day one and it took us about 30 min to figure out this encounter and I was ad clearing the whole time and I ended the dungeon with 1700 kills so yeah they keep comin
This build worked perfectly! thanks.
At 4:33 did you say rizzard instead of wizard😂 love the video btw👍
fuck LOL
I definitely went back ten seconds to hear that correctly 😭
Haha full respect
One thing I’d like to warn is that I noticed when my team ran this dungeon for the first time, my Omnioculus dive would trigger the Lucent Moths and make them explode, which would kill me, so beware of where you dive
You got tracking module on ur hothead? The moths btw she will send once u unlock a symbol after lining up the ring with the hive symbol after she teleports. She also will send them right after a dps phase. If u kill vorlog and u werent in a ring is another moth swarm.
Just solo flawlessed the dungeon. You saved me on both the bosses. Thank you so much for the in depth guide, I don’t think I could’ve done the solo flawless without it 🙂
Saving this for when helmets lost sectors comes back then im going to do it. Thanks!
YO heres a Massive shout out to Mactics for the guide and stickin to a promise if his guide helped id leave a comment>>well here it is lol>> thanks dude taking out the knights out first is a big help .. havent managed it flawless yet but this guide will help me get there>>nice one
just soloed this first try after putting on assassin's cowl, actually one of the most craziest hunter exotics ever
Thanks man! Got it first try because of this!!!
I don't know why but my Lament wasn't working right against 1st boss. It's like the chain would break so I wouldn't heal, thus ruining dps and resulting in a wipe
This is a great video. Any chance you could make a similar guide using either Titan or Warlock?
titan today :) warlock maybe fri/sat
Probably with Apex Predator's bait and switch 35% buff instead of 25 from explosive it would deal enough to be a consistent 5 phase with all that ammo on the ground. Definitely going to try that
I want to try bait and switch apex as well, but I'm concerned about the range of the shotgun.
@@jshock2008In that case, just shotgun one of the surrounding enemies. Doesn't have to be damage on the same enemy to proc BnS
@@jshock2008 you can easily switch to a primary just for the sake of activating bait and switch, and then when the dps phase gas ended switch back to a shotgun, all while invisibile
@@Fabbbio1001 yeah I'm not doing that. Shooting one of the surrounding enemies is the play.
@@jshock2008 both ways are good, I happen to have a lead from gold/one two punch shotgun so ammo won't be a problem if I switch back to it
another great option is radiant dance machines in a secondary dps load out to switch to. as long as you get a melee kill you can keep dodging to get through your rockets faster for more dps
Happiest destiny 2 enjoyer
on the part where you invis to skip the adds first time. when jumping down and you skipped those bubbles. if you hug left you can land on the second floor where secret chest is too. if you go that way its just 1 eager edge jump upwards to next portal. way faster. not a huge deal just worth noting.
What is the second mod on the chest piece? Can’t find it anywhere!!
My favorite build ever. Glad I saw this bc my clan was telling me to use lorely's
