Nice one! I had a 1984 626 GLX with this color interior. Restored many parts of it and was waiting for the final paint jobs when it got hit in traffic beyond repair. Most practical, comfortable and balanced car I've ever owned.
Brings great memories! I had a brand new 1985 Sport Coupe with the sport suspension. Darn! Got rear-ended and totaled in 2005 by a distracted young lady on her cell phone "( Who knows, probably would have still been driving it today??

I don't suppose you still have this do you? I have an 1983 Ns i am trying to find the alternator part number for it and i can't find anything anywhere!!!
They last a long time if you maintenance/tuneups check up on fluids not good to run low on oil. And how to drive them is also affects it's lifespan they run forever .

I'm a 19 year old guy, and would like to fix up this car in the hopes of getting experience with engines and cars, and also a first car which I can drive. I would kindly ask you that may I contact you somehow, for example using e-mail, and ask for your help? You'd help me a lot, since I have little experience. The chances of my grandfather helping and teaching me through the process are very slim, so I just started to search on the internet for some kind of assistance. Previously, another family member owned the car, but now, no one needs it, so I might have a chance to get it as my first car. I love the whole 626 family, It's the best old cars :D, if i would own a car it would be vehicles from 80-90 to 2000-2005

Great to see 626 GC in so nice condition, love the melody these 626 play when keys are in the ignition lock, door is open etc. :)

The tune is "How dry I am"..my 86 626 LX played the entire tune if I left lights on or keys in, loved it!

I think that I kept this car longer than any other.. Eventually the strut towers rusted out.

Brings back memories, that chime. My dad owned a 626 deluxe he inherited from my grandfather. He did over 500,000 kilometres in it. Great car.
What chime sound was used on the 1986 Mazda 626? The same one used in 1985 or a more boring beeping sound?

My Mazda 626 GC 1.6 does not have the ringtone... It is an 85' hatchback model. Any tips?
Maybe it was an extra equipment? or a loose wire?
My guess is a previous owner has disconnected the wires.
