I know reaching back is all about insecurities, but the Hell with it, I WANT TO GO BACK TO THE '70's and be a kid again. Let me do it for one day and sigh in relief for once. These time SUCK!
At 2:20. "Stay tuned for "Give Em' Hell, Harry" The next feature on The Late Late Show." Right after 3am to 4am on WCBS 2 here in New York City before signing up off at 5am every Saturday night.
This is like the New York City version of Boomerrang. It all comes back to the generation that remembers this. I can remember each of those bumpers alling with a specific channel & time. For example Movie 9 would air everyday at 1pm. Hollywood's Finest would air on Saturday Nights at 11pm on Channel 5. Glorious days of the local TV movie bumper. 😊😌😌😊😏😃😁😆
In the mid-1960s, on Saturday nights,Washington's Channel 5 (WTTG) had a program called "Chiller" with Paul Hallett as announcer. I think this is the same animation that was used.
thank you so much for this, I been looking all over the place for these especially the one at 2:20. Can someone tell me who made this actual music. I need this on my phone.
Funny you chose that one. That one & the ABC 4:30 Movie one are the two that stand out in my memory the most. I really have no idea who did that music. Sorry...
Great vintage bumpers. Does anyone know the swinging 70's orchestral groove that starts at 3:06 in and plays to the end? Powerful music. A very determined drive. That last chord makes it sound like Mancini (very reminiscent of the Mancini ending for the Peter Gunn Theme).
looking for late night called The Big Show, shows the Ohio River and the Cincinnati Stadium in believe that the music was George Harrison, What is Life ??

All the ones I remember growing up.
The very first one for years introduced "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (cue Christmas Time is Here.)
Before cable before infomercials there were weekend morning and afternoon movies

This when stations had afternoon movies the news didn't air till 6p.m in most markets and there was very little syndicated shows that were new.
It's called The Riviera Affair by Neil Richardson. Was originally used for WOR New York's "4 o'clock movie"...
When is the retro tv channel coming back! We miss seeing the doctors on it!
Thank you, B. I'm going to look into that. :)
Didn't WOR start the 4 O'clock Movie when WABC cancelled their 4:30 Movie to make room for Eyewitness News at 5?

Those bumpers really made you feel like something good was going to come on.
The WCBS late late show bumper. It was also used as the Saturday/Sunday Afteroon Movie bumper if there were no sporting events.
