The Fish Turned Up and We Were All Catching

- After a cold and windy early start and a slow fish start we head back in the afternoon and we straight away we were catching fish at the river mouth.
We were fishing with the locally made Grim Reaper lures, great for off the beach and from a boat. UV powder coated lures that do a great job catching all sorts of species.

Cher man fun 18:15 kahawai right in close. Oh man this brings back memories of Thornton bech as a kid, jan-feb summerime kahawai runs. The waves used to turn black when the schools would come in close. Best memories of my life fishing with my dad. Blue & white spinners were always our go too.
I have missed out on some runs so was great to have some fun on the light gear on a nice arvo and not busy either. 🎣

Great video mike. Any reason the lures come with a treble hook but your mate modified them with a single and added two split rings? Cheers

Are the smaller ones not ok for eating?
These are the best size for eating in my opinion, the bigger ones are better for smoking
