Man, I'm a jazz fanatic for the last 5 years but I always come back to these wonderful energetic bands who could express their youth wild spirit so beautifully. masterpiece!
My girlfriend knew Vincent Crane's wife & while we were waiting at their house to go to an Ike & Tina Turner concert, Vincent & his wife alternated in a game of chess with me .. I was badly beaten. I had no idea who he was at the time.
this is just excellent!! gotta love Chris Farlowe's facial and vocal gymnastics and Vincent Crane is just amazing - tbh they all are - rock solid performance
First album I bought was Atomic Rooster. This takes me back, what great music. There was some fantastic stuff in the 70's and these were one of my favourite bands
A bunch of us went to a club in Forest Gate, London. We checked our coats, walked once around the club & headed to the pub across the road. Chris Farlowe was playing in the club. Jimmy Hendrix was playing at Billy's Baked Potato across the road. Didn't see Hendrix or hear much of Farlowe.
First time I saw them was on TV programme called "Rock of the 70s" (I think it was called) back in early 80s and it has been on my mind ever since! For many years, I tried to search for it and as it turned out I mixed up the band name, thought they were called Rocket Rooster! 🙈 Until one day, Google brought up "Atomic Rooster" in the search results and bingo, I found them! I play them every now and then. I also like ELP band too for their amazing keyboardist.

I love this kind of music. Atomic Rooster are like a god and this song is one of the best from their albums. On my channel I have whole concert "Traffic" from 1972. If someone is interested he can check it out. Greetings from Poland!

the Hammond organ was a major sound of rock bands of the 60s & 70s Ill never forget why my back is so screwed up now ,mainly because all those Leslie amps and Hammond heavy ass organs ....then the stack of Altec A-7s for the PA , back then nobody had a( how to lift this stuff) poster ,I remember fondly of those days ....my back and spinal chord reminds me of why you should be alot more careful when lifting this stuff
Í know literally NOTHING about keyboards, but would love to include these exact sounds in my own original music... Can someone PLEASE tell me what kind of keyboards Vincent Crane is using in this song? Thanks in advance!
Anybody know what that keyboard is above the Hammond and below the Wurlitzer. It sounds like a Hohner Pianet, but we only hear it for a few seconds. and doesn't look like one.

My favorite version of this song. Chris Farlowe and the band were kicking some ass.
Vincent Crane was brilliant, had the percussive drawbar thing, mad genius.

Se waren in den siebziger Jahren ein Fach bessere Musik als heute. 🎻🎼.
Grande banda
Que enfermedad esta banda. El gallo atómico. Tremendo!!!
At this song we can hear(see) what is a powerful structure.
It's not about the looks, it's about the raunchy, heavenly sound YEAHHHHHH RAWKOOOOWWWNNN
That is one of the greatest riffs in the history of music.
Very good Band
Ric Parnell ...........drum .......percussion.
RIP
I wish this was the album version. It's got so much soul.
I like how you see that guy and think "That dude can actually sing?" And then you hear his voice... WOW!
+vilchisss 'That dude' is Chris Farlowe and, yes, he certainly CAN sing. He's still working and very good, too.
thecheatinghearts That dude is awesome.
I usually go by how the dude sounds, not his appearance. Ronnie James Dio looked like a taller dwarf, but he had the voice of a 20 foot giant.
Всегда восхищался этой группой, сколько лет и не надоедает, какой-то у неё есть мистический стержень
это клавиши
i always loved the roosters thanx.
Maravilloso, gracias por compartir, saludos

Они полностью в музыке.Есть в этой музыке мистика, каждый полностью выкладывается и творит произведение. Не надоедает слушать.

I am now a Rooster fan
Word!
I am now, too.
Not until you shout out at the top of your lungs: “Cock-a-doodle-dooooooooooo!”... only then are you an authentic fan. No bandwagoners following the 🐔
Welcome to the club ,you will be amazed the more you hear of these boys!! Enjoy the ride.
Bolton and Farlowe like a fine season added to Crane and Ric meal or something like that
Gutes Stück
Drummer hits the point!!!
Vincent at his best
Só não postei pq tive problemas com direitos autorais... é pessoal, não deixam a gente postar a história do rock... é foda!!!!

oohhh,,,cool band '
He there DobrePytanie, Vintent Crane used to use a C3 Hammond organ just like the one in this video.
This is amazing. Great song and the organ playing is awesome, but seriously 2:32 what the hell is this, Mr. Farlowe?
@DobrePytanie it's deff a c3, the b3 had 4 legs to support it, where as this does not
Yeah...hallucy guys..!!
this voice :D aweeesome

@Sunchild333 I was and still am a musician for 30 yrs ,could never afford roadies, bands with roadies were usually a little richer
Thank you so much
brillllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllalisious
Í know literally NOTHING about keyboards, but would love to include these exact sounds in my own original music... Can someone PLEASE tell me what kind of keyboards Vincent Crane is using in this song? Thanks in advance!
Hammond B3 Organ I think. Those where pretty much the gold standard of Rock organs from that era.
Anybody know what that keyboard is above the Hammond and below the Wurlitzer. It sounds like a Hohner Pianet, but we only hear it for a few seconds. and doesn't look like one.
Looks like a Rhoads to me.
Nah, definitely not a Rhodes. It is a Hohner Pianet. Crane just had a special case built for it.
hohner pianet+clavet..prob.$..
Nah, those Pianet-Clavinet Duos didn't exist until the mid-70's. Believe me, I'd love to have one and if it was one, you'd know by the sound.
Mike Kiker there are two electric pianos - RMI 368 on top and Hohner Pianet on bottom
Dude, Farlowe lives.
:)))uuuw
hihihiiii...........
that's on top of the organ, hohner pianet and then wurlitzer piano?
never noticed that. I always assumed it was a Rhodes. Now that I looked, you are right!
This call for a burn colection
AWSUM
yes is good
2:32 great
@GrooveDoctor77 And who's roadie were you? =)
No it was a C3....I was there...;)
Holy shit it's Ric Parnell! I'm a big fan!
Wish it could go louder
Give it up for Shaun White's dad, everybody.
singer looks like Rodger Walters!!!
And who is Rodger Walters?
how old are you?
I think you meant Roger Waters P00T. I think he was bein' a wiseass about your spelling. lol And I ruined everyones fun by just telling you. lol
ahaha, thank you...blow me dry now
The singer is Chris Farlow(e) !
IS THERE A DVD OF THIS CONCERT?????
Is that a 69 Epiphone Olympic Steve is playing?.
C3 with English cabinet
Which hammond organ does Vincent Crane use here? Is it B3?
the audio woulda beeen sufficient-=- singer is too funny
ESSA BANDA É DO CACETE. O TECLADISTA E VOCAL DISPENSAM APRESENTAÇÕES.
💥 🐔 (no atomic emojis for obvious reasons)
Peter French in my opinion sounds better on vocals than Chris Farlowe does.
3 people don't have souls
what is this 2fps
yeah.. Thus is rocknroll.. What's yer point exactly lol?
cellphonegaming..... no wonder they're dead your playing games on your phone.. while they're jamming....while they're jamming......LOL
guitar should be a bit more distorted and delayed...perfect
All the members to atomic rooster are dead.
Good day.
Ricordiamoci che ilnprimo batterista degli Atomic Roster era CARL PALMER
