I ruined my wife's home model sewing machine while sewing light cotton canvas tool pouches. With the cheap nylon gears in even the best home model sewing machines these days - you shud consider a light industrial stitching machine with metal gears before attempting to sew leather.
Squid Master It's Tanner's Bond adhesive tape. There are two types, removable & permanent, and they come in different sizes. This one looks like the 10mm wide permanent bond, but you can use 5mm if you use thinner leather and skiv the edges properly.
We use a similar type of tape in the picture framing industry. It isn't double sided though, that would infer that there is a carrier strip in between the two strips of adhesive. The most common brand of framing tape is made by 3M in the USA and the most common type is 3M #924 ATG tape. This stands for A-dhesive T-ransfer G-un which is actually the applicator gun we use to apply the tape over long stretches of needed adhesive but the "ATG" acronym has been used for years to denote the adhesive as well. The adhesive itself can be had in regular and also an acid free adhesive, it can be had in 3mm, 7mm, 9mm, 12mm, and 19mm. [Approx. conversions]. The only visible difference that I can see is the ATG type tape is a solid strip from beginning to end and it is mounted on a brown paper carrier strip for ease in use, while the Tanner's Bond is short "clips" of adhesive on the backing paper which, in either case is stripped off after being applied to the item being glued together .
Hi..You should put the camera in front of you when you are working. Or you should shoot with two cameras and then edit video. While you're working, nothing seems to be your hand.
