Dude Shohei is my favorite player in all of baseball but quit glazing him 💀 That’s simply not one of the best compliments you could give. It’s like the most generic compliment in sports.
@@w.w.2509 Really? An athlete of that status without an ego? I think it says a lot when his teammate made that observation. Unlike Jordan, who was a high-pressure dictator or Tiger, who maintained a standoffish demeanor to preserve his aura and competitive edge. I consider the comment a high compliment.
@@tc1229 You’re using Michael Jordan as an example of someone that DOESN’T get good compliments? I think everyone reveres Jordan. Also ego is great thing to have. Love big egos. It makes sports way more exciting. Also Shohei definitely has a big ego - and I appreciate that about him.
@@tc1229 You’re telling me the Japanese kid that at 8 years old wrote down his exact goals and mapped out his life as a champion and the best baseball player in the world doesn’t have an ego? The guy who seeks both the richest contract in all of sports AND seeks championships? That guys doesn’t have an ego? He definitely has an ego and I’m thankful for it.
I don’t believe that being ambitious necessarily means having an ego. He identified his goals early in life and pursued them diligently. Within the team, he interacts well with his teammates and doesn’t ask for special treatment. Professional athletes have seen it all; they can recognize a diva when they see one, and they won’t refer to that person as “one of the guys.”
Choosing Mattingly as a middle name for your daughter, yeah you're not even doubting the level of fandom Rich has for the Yankees. It's extremely high.
That's one of the best compliments you can have within a team: he is just one of the guys.

I just know Ohtani is trying to catch up on One Piece💀
He will have more time now, since it is offseason and he will not be doing any training for now as reports says he underwent surgery for torn labrum
He's probably reading Ace of the Diamond.
Lol
lol. If they made a live action movie for Fist or the North Star Ohtani would be a great Kenshiro or Jojo. He’s got the size and physique
Hes def reading that lol. Or one punch man. I imagine hes got friends in japan just sending him scans.
Way to go Jack!
As an LA native also white I understand Jack. Keep this dude around, trust me. Our chill will guide you through the drift.
