Also, you have to be going through 100s of clips, and how you organize and remember your clips you want. Do you concentrate on short quick clips, or do you just film and go through it all? How much time do you spend editing the 20 minute vlogs? Those are questions I’m so curious to know. Your reply means a lot to me!!!! 🔥

I was born n raised in Kailua n grew up cutting class, ditching X mas-thx gvng-birthday-anniversary dinners n everything else to score epic swell n faaat barrels at country n outa-site barrier reef east side breaks. Some of the best right out in back of yr house .. styling location o' wot !!?? I now live in it's-all-good-een-da-Hood .. Hood River !! If I had a choice as to where to live away from my aina, it would be here. I head butted the reef one too many times in 2006 n farrged up my neck n had to move here from Santa Cruz, to rehab n get back on my feet, where I started mtn biking. My folks sold their land n hale up in Pupukea Hts n bought land n built in White Salmon. I can't get enough of the buku trails n jumps up in Post Canyon n am working my way up in jump/drop difficulty despite being a jeriatric jump junkie turning 56 in two days .. Nov. 20th. I never did act my age .. thank God !! Yr story is .. just .. da kine awesome !! Watched JOB vid since they first appeared n just love the kukai nature of what they're all about. Am slowly preparing to mtn bike guide next summer n have been filming my camp-lake dive- ride jump crash n K.O. forays for a few years n only recently with the gopro 8 stabilization been able to produce video worth watching. Yr stuff is a bench marker n shows me what is possible. Drone n ground footage rules ! POV footage is so limiting on trail but can't say that about in the shack view, surfing. Garth Hardin on utube. Got some good wrecks n two tree smacks there. One this last February. Peace shaka aloha !!

Jackson you are an extremely talented filmmaker and I love all of your work and you make Jamie’s videos look amazing but I noticed this video was kind of Casey neistat style which could be a good or bad thing depending on who you ask. Casey’s style is super entertaining to watch and is hard to get right but some might see it as unoriginal kind of like you are copying him. You might have done this on purpose or took a lot of inspiration but just a heads up that it is noticeable. Either way it was a good video and the first part of it was amazing and very well put together. I can’t wait to see what you have in store keep up the good work
Hey man, I hear you and it’s totally valid criticism. It’s no doubt I definitely got a lot of inspiration from Niestat during the “vlog” segment of this episode. Vlogging is a new one for me and the last thing I want to be is unoriginal, but that’s where I tried to blend two worlds. JL style (with the narration / cinematography) at the start and Casey inspo during the second half. Vlogging is a hard one to be super original with and I feel that the imperfect Casey style fits my personality best... now i just gotta put my personal twists on it... that will come with time and experience 🤔
