- This is Sly Stone's EPIC FAIL (part 1) @ Coachella 2010. He was supposed to play in the Gobi tent at 7:00pm but was delayed and moved to the Mojave at 10:30pm. After over a half hour of sound checking, Sly finally came out and immediately started rambling incoherently about his lawsuit with his ex-manager for about 10 minutes before the music finally began. In what could only be described as a train wreck performance, Sly stopped the music 4 times (that we saw at least) before the band could ever finish a song. The band members looked confused and irritated. Meanwhile Gorillaz were already playing on the main stage. Sly appeared wasted and was wasting everyone's time. This was totally disrespectful to his band and everyone who stuck around to see him instead of Gorillaz. This was a disaster and our only regret at Coachella this year. Fuck you Sly Stone. Fuck you in your stupid ass.

Drug addicts blames everyone else for their fail
Although, one of the most disappointing things that can be witnessed, is the fall to rock bottom by a musical genius, I believe that given the wealth of music that will always be with us, Sly deserves our prayers, and encouragement. It is unfortunate, but so many of the greats, unfortunately fall into the abyss, unable to return. It is only through the grace of Yahweh the Creator, that I escaped that pitfall.

As it turned out, Sly Stone was not owed any money. With his insane drug use, the mistreatment of his own band members, and the utter contempt he had for his fans, Sly Stone destroyed his once brilliant career. He did it!

Sly is one of the saddest examples of drug addiction, but also one of the most remarkable and beautiful examples of talent, creativity and uniqueness. Sly and The Family Stone is the best band ever!
@POW3RTOTHEP3OPL3 He made amazing music! We were really excited for him. I was really disappointed when I walked by the Gobi and saw he wasn't on. I heard he doesn't show sometimes and we weren't gonna stick around. When we found out he was playing later and we could still catch him we were STOKED! But after waiting for over 30 minutes and not seeing even ONE song played in its entirety we gave up on him. Too bad. Could have been much better. Wish he got his shit together.

Drugs are spiritual.Right idea,wrong method.Every one can become a buddha for a short time on drugs.The word meditate,and medicate come from the same root.Drugs are as old as humanity it's self.They can give you a glimpse,take you out of the mundane,,but can't keep you there.Meditation,can give you the real,,and sustain it.If JOplin.Morrison,Hendrix knew about meditation,it would be a different story.I am against drugs,but for sure they are spiritual.Right idea,wrong method

Really! You say f him now!?. How would you feel if you were robbed for years? The system took wealth from his children. I'm not bothered by his actions. Hell, I think it's fare and just for him to use the platform to promote whatever he chooses. (It ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun)

I love Sly Stone. I don't know who wrote the intro to this clip, but he was horribly disrespectful to Sly. If you watch the next clip to this show, you can see that Sly stopped the songs because his equipment wasn't working properly. Not his fault. Sly, his band and singers did a wonderful job. So did the technician that worked on fixing the equipment. I wish I could have been there!
