- I wanted to cover gendered spaces (washrooms/change rooms) and my thoughts about navigating those as a FTM.
Binder retailer info:
There is now a Vancouver-based BINDER RETAILER called CURALUX in town! Now only do they sell binders on site (zip-up compression vests and Underworks double-front compression shirts) but they also do measurements on-site, good for safety and getting a binder that fits. I'm really excited about this because it means you can buy your binder in person and right away plus it also means that you don't need a credit card or to figure a way to ship it if your parents are not on-board with binding.

I'm pre everything right now and haven't had a problem with restrooms, like he said, no one is really there to chat or anything and I just use the stalls so its all good.
in a shopping centre where they have male and female change rooms i take what could be considered the cheep way out and let whoever is there point me to either the male or female stalls. so far always been pointed to the males which i feel pretty chuffed about.

There was a girl in my locker room the other week who everyone previously thought was a boy but my school is pretty nice so no one questioned it, and I think now he dresses in the boy's locker room. Really, it's a matter of other people minding their own business. You should never feel bad or weird when trying to pee or dress. If people question it, then it's them and not you.
I'm a girl but I feel more comfortable as a guy, I act like a guy, refer to myself as a guy (Even ask people to refer to me as a guy) and I would prefer myself to be a guy. I always feel uncomfortable around people especially in changing rooms since I try to keep my breast size small as i want my chest flat and since i am still technically a girl i cannot change where i get changed or anything and your video has helped me loads as to feel better about my self and to ignore people ... I've had the same experience in the change rooms. I was changing in at the YMCA and I changed in the disabled stall and everything considering I haven't had top surgery. But I did have to go into the showers and wash up first so I went with my sports bra on and my friend and I were showering and then the old dude on the other side finally saw that I had a little extra on the chest... He kept glancing but he never said anything to me about it and honestly when I have chest surgery and have been on T for longer I'm sure no one will even stare anymore. So most of the time things like that aren't an issue as long as you stay confident and just mind your own business.

So I discovered these videos... Somehow I don't quite remember exactly... I was watching something and then I saw the Transgender announcement video and I clicked on it... Sometime a couple of hours ago (So I've been kind of skipping around with which videos I've been watching, it's about 2 am but I just performed in a play so I'm not tired... and I'm rambling... -_-) And I just wanted to thank you. When I joined my High School GSA as an ally, for some reason I had difficulty... understanding I guess would be the word, transgender. (Of course now that I've watched these videos I can't remember what the heck confused me) I'm in college now, but I just wanted to thank you for helping me to understand just a little bit more about it. And I can't believe how long this message was just to say thank you...
I'm completely pre-op at the moment, hormones included. But once I'm in college (and on hormones), I'm planning on using the "male" restroom and such all the time. I'm nervous, of course.. since being outed can be very dangerous if the wrong people catch wind of it, but yeah. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

I don't get any issues in the bathrooms anymore, changing rooms are a bit of a hassle still before chest surgery.
How did you find having to wait in line when there's the chance someone might size you up or notice you're nervous?

I've been thinking about getting sugery to change myself, but when I told my father he said that he thought I wasn't a boy trapped in a girls body.I took that into consideration but I still think about it and I think he's wrong. I mean I love my father but I'm not sure what to do. I want to get the surgery it's just i'm just unsure how to go about it. I would be grateful if you could help me. Thank you. =)
I'm Gender-fluid and I don't especially feel comfortable in either bathroom. Although, the girls' is usually cleaner, so I usually just go in there, but I have no problem going in the guys' when I have to lol
As you said. Guys don't really talk much in changing rooms etc. Just remember they are probably more scared of you than you are of them. :P
i can say its hard at first like im still confused about my sexuality but i bind and lots of people just bully me for it so i just stop but its still a pain :/

I accidentally went into the mens bathroom one time a few years ago and there was a man in there that just kept talking to me telling me how to poop. The other times i went they didnt really pay any attention but of course i looked like a boy because i didnt wear femine style clothing. But they do say bye or they make a casual conversation when washing hands. I think cause i was a kid cause the adults didnt make conversation among themselves.

i wouldn't say ''homophobic'' I'm a boy however i just don't really like older men looking at me.I have my reasons.... But i agree we shouldn't be ashamed of our bodies. like who cares. and i'm fine Trans people i'm not sure i know any though.
Oh how gratifying watching this video is...I literally just found a Twins video from who knows, 5 years ago? After watching the behavior, demeanor, voice, speech, I questioned if this person was not only a lesbian, but identifying as a different gender. Cosplay, the new niche for people who are confused about their gender identity?

I dont know why but I've always been hypersensitive to peoples genders, I dont care if theyre trans I think of them no differently theye are who they are so I dont care
