Very interesting compilation Les. I had never seen those Nigerian drums, they make a lovely sound. On the wind side, I have also seen flutes/whistles transverse and otherwise, open at the end of the length which are different from ocarinas.
The best video I've watched on the subject. I'm a student and enthusiast of the world of ceramics and music. This video will help me with my projects. Congratulations!
I totally LOVED watching your video Mr Peterkin. Only 30 likes, I am going to promote your efforts Sir! Your little documentary is TOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!!!!!
thank you for the lovely video! which artist made the colorful instruments at 5:00 ? I looked up Paul Chenoweth, but it looks like he's made other instruments in your video.

Thank you. I really wanted to see what could be possible with clay and now I know. I think I might make a drum and an ocerrana.

Hello - Thanks for you comment - those ones were made by Steve Smeed , in Oregon
Why the air-quotes around "musical instrument" when discussing the didgeridoo? Seems just as much an instrument as the rest of the ones here
Hi Drake, A valid comment thanks, but I personally dont think that the sounds that come from the didgeridoo are musical or better still melodious!
@@lespeterkin2516 to each their own I guess. Thanks for the reply :)
