Your analysis is perfect... of course it was very quick, but there are observations not seen in other videos. I liked your perception and laughed many times here. Congratulations. Just remember that people from Rio, carioca, is different from the rest of the country.
People from every state is different from the other states. Even the cariocas are not equal. His video is a generalization, and generalizations are not precise, but reflects the behaviour of a people.
Thanks for the video, bro. As a Brazilian, I'd say you pretty much captured the way people here tend to behave for many of the topics you approched, but let's not forget "every generalization is treacherous". Good that you included 'disclaimers'. Other than that, I'd say that our social groups - or the bunch or generations we hang around with - tend to help mold our perspectives. So, you don't get left in the void, I don't see eye to eye on what you said about 'spoiler alert failure', our "rebellious nature" - Brazilians have otherwise been taken as very 'passive' - but definitely too noisy, you're right on that - and patience will be needed when you (foreigners) try to criticize our country or (long-term established) culture, lol, but not if you are bringing a new habit or perspective into the culture. Brazilians are actually super open to novelty, foreigners and foreign culture, that's why the country is such a melting pot. To say that something is "importado" (=imported) will actually make it more valuable in Brazil, and only recently that myth is finally though gradually being 'debunked'.
Actually, dentists are not that rich in Brazil. You are right about the habits, but we have separate universities for physicians and dentists here, so we graduate a lot of dentists yearly, compared to other countries where they have to endure all the medical school (and charge more, of course). It is way cheaper, and everyone can afford the treatments, especially basic cleans and stuff that doesn't require expensive materials.
I don't eat beans, the brazilian national food, I dislike the taste and the looks... when people know about this they get mad at me lol... people here think when you don't like some regional food you are attacking their culture personally... you right on point on this one...
Os Brasileiros não tem obrigação de adaptar-se a nenhuma cultura estrangeira ! Os estrangeiros que devem ter a mente aberta sobre o país que está visitando! Quem viaja e tem educação, compreende isso!
First, you visited Rio de Janeiro, so you can't talk about Brazilian culture in general, because each state in Brazil has its own culture, and what is exported abroad is the culture of Rio de Janeiro and not the rest of the country. Many Brazilians don't like the culture of Rio de Janeiro. In comparison, the state of Rio de Janeiro is like Ohio in the USA, a meme state in Brazil, because it had everything to be the best state in the country since it receives many tourists, but it is an extremely corrupt state with practically all former governors imprisoned. It also holds the second largest number of favelas in Brazil. Unfortunately, when someone talks about Brazil, they have this image of favelas due to Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, many Brazilians don't like Rio, and when a foreigner talks about Brazil from the perspective of Rio de Janeiro, they aren't really talking about Brazil as a whole. So, what states have you visited in Brazil besides Rio?
You forgot number 11: many Brazilians are jealous of Rio and the people of Rio. So if you make a video that speaks well or badly of Brazil and includes an image of Rio, prepare to be hated.
Sou brasileiro, moro em uma cidade relativamente quente e sempre tomo um banho por dia. Essa conversa de três banhos por dia é para loucos, não conheço ninguém aqui na minha cidade que toma 3 banhos por dia!!!!!
I am a gay Lithuanian man and I have taken more than 3 showers a day while on holiday in the Philippines and Thailand. While on holiday I took Viagra everyday, sometimes twice a day, to have lots of fun in the bedroom with gay men and transgender women. I sweat a lot and need to take a shower after having fun in the bedroom. I was in the bedroom having fun 3 - 4 times a day with different people, and needed to take multiple showers.
