Let's face it, Kyle Schwarber's frustration during his ejection was completely justified. Even if you aren't a huge fan of baseball, it's a fact of life that Angel Hernandez sucks at his job
I wonder if we'll ever see a MLB umpire get knocked out cold from a punch. Or another Bobby Valentine situation where he got ejected but returned disguised
Angel Hernandez gives me inspiration that if I'm a .100 hitter, and Angel Hernandez still somehow has a job, then maybe I won't get fired just yet either.
When you get idiot and you add ego you get a picture of Angel Hernandez. Topps should print a baseball card with a pic of him making a bad call. On the back of the card list each year and next to each year is the # of bad calls per, missed calls and unnecessary ejections.
It’s nice to see MLB back to what it once was before COVID-19. The brawls were not shown at all in 2020, and barely were in 2021. LOVE baseball ⚾️ 0:01-1:11 NYM vs. WSH 4:44-5:58 SD vs. SF/NYY vs. BAL (why I love being a Boston Red Sox [and St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals, San Francisco Giants] fan. Down with the New York Yankees) 6:27-10:21 OAK vs. TOR/BAL/TEX 10:22-15:58 MIL vs. PHI/NYM vs. STL/SEA vs. TB
I know this is an old video, but I never noticed Hader's expression @10:27. He is like "I don't deserve that call, and I don't blame him for getting pissed at this point."
8:48 I'm not sure what this commentary is saying, as a kid I was taught when you cross first base on a close play like that one was, You Always Turn To the Foul Territory. Because if you turn towards the field of play you can be tagged out. The first base coach was right on him telling him to get to the bag
No they can overrun first and turn either way as long as they make no actual attempt towards second. First base coach making that motion probably was what made the ump think that call needed to be made, but was wrong. What that runner did can’t legitimately be seen as a a movement towards second.
Could someone clarify? Adjusting to new baseballs... have they changed manufacturers? Do they no longer 'muddy up' baseballs for a gave so they have some grip to them? Color me confused.
Rawlings was instructed to loosen the tension on the first of three wool windings within the ball, which reduced its weight without changing its size. The league expected the changes to be subtle, but the baseballs were noticeably lighter and did not travel as far off the bat.
Just once I want an announcer to get behind the plate and call one inning of pro baseball. See how many they get right. I get it some people miss calls but that still doesn’t negate the fact that they aren’t allowed to argue and if they do they run the very high risk of being ejected. It’s not a “surprise”
Some context, @ 731. Jeff Nelson had a 68% accuracy rate on strikes this game. League average is 88%. It was behind frustrating to watch this game, Can’t image what is was like for the batters.
I am now a huge fan of Schwarber!! At what point is Angel Hernandez going to be dealt with from the MLB? That must be one hell of a union that these umpires are in because every single player and coach gets fined and suspended but very rarely does it happen to the umpires when they continue to miss blatant calls many that decide the outcome of games
If I remember correctly, I think the batter before urias was in a 3-2 count and the pitcher threw a ball that should've been a strike and inning over but the ump calls it a ball which loads the bases for urias and then Chapman walks urias and the orioles win
Most of the pitch trackers I see in these clips seem to be static and don't change with each batter, though they should since the top and bottom of the strike zone are defined in relation to the individual batter. For example at 18:20 the batter is prepared to swing and the track indicates a zone from his waist to the top of his socks. That's not how the rules define the zone, but the announcers treat the tracker as gospel. What the hell?
Mancini deserved to be thrown out. That call legitimately could have gone either way and he should have hustled back to the bag. No wonder they're in last place.
Umpires should be fined for bad calls. If players get fined for not doing there job as outlined then so should umpires who Fail to do there job efficiently, effectively and accurately. Put an ear piece on them from someone watching the strike zone with technology. When they make horrible calls they get a warning when they refuse to recalibrate fine them a fair amount according to there overall pay. Nothing that would break them but deter them from having vendettas or being just plain lazy or crappy at there job.
You know it's bad when someone like myself who mostly just plays the show, fully understands that angel shouldn't have a position anywhere, put that fuck in AA
These are intentional Anyone throwing at the head deserves a year suspension and heavy fine These are pro pitchers not amateurs. They choose not to miss on the outside part of the plate.
amazing how much a manager will demand a pitch be judged. call it a strike if your pitcher is throwing it. call it a ball if your batter is facing the pitch. funny how that works huh?
you can throw at a mans head 95mph and MLB does NOTHING....fight back and thrown out and possible fines. fine a start in the rotation and this will stop. need to start fining catchers that frame a pitch 8"
Let's face it, Kyle Schwarber's frustration during his ejection was completely justified. Even if you aren't a huge fan of baseball, it's a fact of life that Angel Hernandez sucks at his job
100%
Yes, Schwarber definitely spoke for the entire baseball world when he went off
I wonder if we'll ever see a MLB umpire get knocked out cold from a punch. Or another Bobby Valentine situation where he got ejected but returned disguised
Feel you 100%
I know several months later ,but I agree. Atching Schwarber play in the WS... the fellow does NOTblow up unless it’s justified. Here it was.
I freakin LMAO when the guy says “Boone has just been ejected from a game that no longer exist!!!”
After the “we lost because the roof was open,” tidies the surprise me.
I’m not fan of the Yankees but. I feel sorry for their fans this year.
Angel Hernandez gives me inspiration that if I'm a .100 hitter, and Angel Hernandez still somehow has a job, then maybe I won't get fired just yet either.
Love how the catcher is always the one who knows the rules the best.

Alternate Title: Angel Hernandez being an embarrassment to the blind.
Correction : embarrassment to his family. Don’t group disabled people with this clown Angel Hernandez.

You should be ashamed of yourself… making fun of a blind person like that…
Arenado literally backed towards the ump and then started with the "come at me bro" to the pitcher 🤣

GREG GIBSON THE THIRDBASEUMPIRE @ 5:10 ? I THOUGHT HE WAS ONLY ALLOWED TO WORK THE PLATE BECAUSE HIS NAME IS GregGibson TheHomePlate Umpire
I know this is an old video, but I never noticed Hader's expression @10:27. He is like "I don't deserve that call, and I don't blame him for getting pissed at this point."
The Show needs to add bench clearings
The Braves pitching coach Rick Kranitz was the first ejection in the month of May.
6:31 was watching this game with my dad, brothers and grandparents, and we were losing it all damn game
And that's why April is definitely my favorite month.
Same!! Plus, I was born in April!!
Me too
@@OrsilloFanClub interesting I like people who're born in April.
Thank you for these videos you’re the 🐐
Manchini turned, he did NOT attempt to go to second. That was ridiculous
2:21 Where have I heard that sound before?
FTX on the Umps jacket says it all.
please no commentary, we just want to watch the ejections
Its not him who's commenting.
@@youngtank4039we know who the comments are. And we don’t want to hear them. If we did, we’d watch all these are her channel.
What’s funny about half of these ejections is that the manager literally tells the umpire to toss him.
2:21 Mario Coin sound
These should be mandatory viewing by the Umpires.
The Baseball season seems weird this year. I can’t put my finger on what specifically though. 👀🤷🏿
Lots of fights so far this year

Oh no... I just heard the "narrator" ...
This doesn’t just make the umpires look bad, it makes them look awful
THE WHOLE GAME
FOR BOTH SIDES
Could someone clarify? Adjusting to new baseballs... have they changed manufacturers? Do they no longer 'muddy up' baseballs for a gave so they have some grip to them? Color me confused.

Get an automated strike zone. Leave an umpire behind the plate to keep the game moving, but a blown call on just 1 pitch can make all the difference
Can you please finish up the may ejections for 2022
MLB ejection tracker, please make an adjustment on may so I can watch it.

Wtf happened to May?!?!? It was posted? Did Gil/ Lindsay flag it?
It was just posted, but MLB blocked it

What happened around 5:50 in the Orioles game? Only the walkoff pitch was shown, why was Aaron Boone mad?
If I remember correctly, I think the batter before urias was in a 3-2 count and the pitcher threw a ball that should've been a strike and inning over but the ump calls it a ball which loads the bases for urias and then Chapman walks urias and the orioles win
Can you make May 2022 ejections
2:03 - What was THAT about?
That's great coverage!!!
Tremendous coverage
The Mancini tag out reminds me *A. LOT.* of the Christian Yelich (MKE Brewers) tag out.
Love the videos. Editing seem to be sub par this round.
As annoying bad calls are they are what make baseball a fun sport.
cannot wait for the strike/ball challenge to happen, will change the game for the better and eliminate so many of these quick trigger ejections.
14:06 im sorry but if you got 2 strikes you gotta protect. And that pitch was WAY too close to being a legitimate strike so you better go for it.
lmao at 7:05, I thought he was gonna slap the umpire
At least Joe West finally retired
I remember the week Kyle Schwarber got ejected all i heard of was it being called the Bryce Harper effect and I loved it
Will there ever be a full season without ejections, brawls and injuries?
Hell no.
Nope!!!

ah yes, the legendary, Aaron Hernandez

0:21 MLB the show when ur trying to get ejected
The home base ump should be THE ONLY ONE to make calls at home plate. They've screwed around and pussyfied baseball just like a lot of other sports.
Really low to TB Randy,Mancini stayed on path, bad call
Ted Barrett is a big guy
Does Angel Hernandez have an optometrist?

Its a channel called close call sports 😂
5:30 That wasn’t a strike in any universe. Yankees getting outraged over literally nothing
I don't mind the ejections at home plate when the batter throws his bat.
You guys realize umps have bad days too, right?
Come in MLB there nit places golf or having at almost eye level pitches and a foot outside.
When Duffy checked it was a dropped 3rd strike
They Mancini call was horrific wtf
Exactly,he stayed on same path

Long haired Nolan is always savage
3:56 one of the worst check swing calls you'll ever see! Jesus Christ, not even close
Disband the umpire union, and take away their ability to just throw anyone out at any time. Umpires in MLB are out of control.
The most sensitive profession....MLB empires.
When Matt Duffy got called struck out I don’t even know why the ump went to the first base ump
amazing how much a manager will demand a pitch be judged. call it a strike if your pitcher is throwing it. call it a ball if your batter is facing the pitch. funny how that works huh?
Lady umpires are next .. cannot wait
Some umpires need to be a bit more patient and others just aren't cut out to be in major league baseball.
Jeez
The MLB is becoming the joke of professional sports.
Swear umps been worse then ever these passed few seasons. It’s time to end them
Why is there a woman talking over a baseball game??
