It's 5:30 (almost 20 hours awake), my family is asleep and I'm studying for an IT exam. I'm glad I came across this video. Takes away the feeling of being lonely.

My boyfriend died about a month ago of a heroin overdose. He would listen to this playlist many nights to fall asleep. It reminds me of him, everything reminds me of him. I miss him more than words can express, he was the love of my life and he died at only 18. We had so much left to do together, to get married and have kids, he was my soulmate. I don't know how to get through things without him anymore. I have my friends, but nothing has felt the same. I don't know how to find someone ever again, someone who unconditionally loves me like he did. He died in his sleep, laying next to me. I woke up and he was gone. I visited his grave yesterday. No headstone yet, but he had been recently buried. I talked to him and sobbed. I feel completely robbed of everything, with him I was finally happy after years of suffering, he completed me. I miss him so much. Wherever you are, Chase, I love you. Rest in peace, my love🩷🕊️

@@brooklyn4294 thank you so much. i've been missing him every moment of every day, i was actually just watching old videos and memories of the 2 of us tonight and i kinda broke down, it sucks losing the love of my life, my soulmate, and he was only 18. but i'm also just so glad i got to meet him at least and have the most beautiful and special memories of him, he was so wonderful, and witty, and funny and so much more. and at the end of the day, loss never gets easier, life just grows around it. thank you for your kindness 🥲❤️🩹 sorry to kinda dump all that there but i thought i'd sorta update my comment as well and speak more on it

The loneliness makes you feel…safe. Nobody needs you to be or feel a certain way. A weight is lifted off your shoulders knowing you don’t have to put on a smile. You can just.. relax. Take a deep breath. I think it helps to have alone time. I mean, who are you really if you don’t have time to figure it out? This gives me a sense of calm because I find myself in moments like these: alone, peaceful, with a beautiful song. I think I see myself and my life in this music. I feel home.

All alone in my apartment rn, on the weekends in the evening, staring at the ceiling, no motivation to do anything whatsoever, its like one of those days where everything just feels bland and doesnt make sense, but instead of being sad or feeling empty like you usually do, you just kinda embrace it. Kinda soothing, for some reason, everyday you have to work and make sense out of everything, your mind gets full, and you distress from time to time. So feeling something like this isnt so bad every once in a while, just ignore the rest of the world for a couple of minutes and let your mind flow in the wind.

I remember leaving a rave one night in Atlanta at about 5AM, sunrise wasnt until 7. We went to a building near the Westin and got to the top, and i found it so odd, creepy and beautiful. The city was lit up, but not a soul out. Not a light on in any of the windows, just the dead streets and their low lights gave any sign of life. It was a quite a moment for me for some odd reason, it felt like it was only i that existed, if but for a moment.

I go to the office 2 days a week, and I leave home at 5 AM. I take the train through the city with the same people every time. It's the calmest, most peaceful time of the day - the sun is not out yet and everyone else is still asleep. When I get into the office, I work with in the darkness with the lights off until people start showing up. I find it much harder to wake up for a normal commute (at 8-9 AM) - because I don't look forward to any part of it. But I do look forward to the peace and quiet of the early morning

@@BucketOfSevereBrainDamage nope, it's just ambient actually. Actually "dreampunk" is a more specific term for this kind of music - you'd find a lot of great, similar music using dreampunk as a search term. But this definitely isn't dark ambient.
Dark ambient is creepy/abrasive sounding. Something like "Everywhere at the End of Time Stage 6" by the Caretaker. It's meant to be noisy, ominous and, well, dark.
I just wanted to clarify so people don't go searching for dark ambient and run into music which doesn't sound like this at all lol

january 16th will be the birthday of my dad, who passed away in 2019. Hope is a very difficult thing to keep hold of, I myself have lost mine, however, hope often returns to those who need it. Except studying, i also want to do something else, guitar, excersing, but somehow I am not getting sufficient time. My health is at the most low point it has ever been and its been like that for months. I'm very insecure about my looks and that's also making me stressed and I cant stop it... my health is deteriorating.... I'm lost.. I don't know what my next step will be.... but I'll go forward

I lay here defeated, but only for a day, it is 2:08am here in my chilly studio in California. I am warm while my hands are hold from holding this phone, my heart and soul and mind are all at peace despite the day taking all my energy. I lay here on my bed and under blankets and pillow, this music helps me relax and be even more at peace and comfort. It's a really tiring thing but just know that you're not alone on this. Let time heal you and let go of things that burdens you. It might be difficult letting things go but trust me once you realize just how precious life is things will get so much better. You're already doing such a good job and I'm proud of you. I have a genetic disorder that causes me to be in pain all the time. Sometimes, it's hardly noticeable, othertimes I can't even move. When the pain is bad I often lay awake in bed waiting and hoping for it to get better. Unfortunately, not much makes it better, but listening to these kinds of videos helps me to relax. Thank you❤

Morning. It's raining outside. My wife and daughters are sleeping. I listen to this music while playing Eternium and making cookies at the same time. Ahead of a chicken broth, everybody's sick and I don't like it terribly.
I thought about how interesting it is to do something while everyone is sleeping, so that later I can make them happy (their favorite cookies)
Over the past year, I've been emotionally and psychologically tired, as a strong empath, I need a reboot. No, hard reset. The only thing that helps me recover is my wife - she gives me the support i need more than ever, I try to cheer her up, she cheers me up (You know I'm grateful to you for everything, but if you ever find my comment in some unbelievable way, it will just be a reminder of my respect for, I love you, my Queen❤️🔥) My daughters - their voice gives us joy and music, which calms our souls when we want to be together.

We all have to live in this cursed world, that’s a fact none can deny. It’s full of lies, all manner of deceit, corruption and greed, hatred, blasphemies, lust, you name it. Life sucks. People often look forward to death to find peace and I don’t blame them. But the truth is, we’re just lost. Let me guide you in the right path. We’ve told countless lies, hated someone, taken things that didn’t belong to us, looked with lust, etc. We are all morally impure, no one is truly “good.” I mean…we are all human after all? And yes it is true, we are born this way, but in the eyes of a perfect, Holy God, we are deserving of death. The Bible says the wages of sin is death, in other words God is paying us in death for them, and your death will be evidence that God is deadly serious about sin, like a judge looks a heinous criminal who’s committed multiple murders and gives him the death sentence. However, the Bible also tells us that it isn’t Gods will that any should perish. He’s our creator, He loves us, as a good father loves his children. Now, most people know the whole “Jesus died for you” thing, but they don’t know this: In a court of law, if you’ve collected a number of speeding fines for example, and someone came in and payed them all, legally you’re free to go. That’s what happened on that cross. Jesus paid the fine for the sin of the world, that’s why He said “It is finished” just before He died. Then, 3 days later, rose from the grave, defeated death and promised to come back to get us. So put your faith in Jesus and trust Him like you would a parachute. If you were 10,000 feet up in an airplane and you’ve gotta jump, why would you put on a parachute? So you wouldn’t go splat at 120 mph, right? So put on that parachute, and have faith in the Savior, and just as importantly, repent of your sins, in other words, ask for forgiveness and turn away from our natural sinful natures and God will grant you everlasting life, not because we deserve it, but because it’s His free gift to us through His grace and love. I pray this message reaches many and that God touches the hearts of all who read this. He who has ears, let him hear. Amen.

Man. Walking at night in a semi empty place or city when it's raining I just... idk man. Everything feels like it's going to shit in my life but I'm trying to turn it around and start off new. She gave me the inspiration to wanna keep going. I gave her the Inspiration to get fit and better. I loved her when she was alone and going through things. She left when I showed her how to fly. I helped her get better. But... it meant nothing to her. She wanted to fly to the sun buy found galaxies and went for those instead. Yeah I feel like shit half the time. Most if not all the time. She found someone that's better I hope. She's happy. I hope. I wanna know she's doing better and growing into something she wanted to be but I can't. I could've. But she didn't wanna stay with the person who was there for her. I wanted to celebrate her. She found another guy and didn't have the heart to tell me. She knew what she did was wrong and thought if she kept distancing herself I'd go away. I'm not dumb. I found her cheating. It broke my heart. I wanted to kill myself. I was gonna kill myself. But she gave me an inspiration. A motivation. To get better. Yeah, everything u do reminds me of her because we did everything together and she was always on my mind. I always had a picture of her in my pocket thinking about our family that we would have but now I have an empty pocket with a heavy soul and an empty bed with a running head. If she was able to do it with my help. What's to stop me from doing it myself. Now maybe the problem was that I just wasn't what she wanted and used me or I was to easy or she knew she could get something better or I don't know but... she left me empty... in many ways... im now angry at everything. At the world. Im now not feeling as though love is gonna be the same. I will never feel the way I did with her again. And you might be thinking. Oh hey you just haven't tried again. I did. Every time. Same feeling. This isn't right. I dont belong to them. I get a guilty feeling. I ignore them because my head is passed those days and has moved on but my heart still wears shackles and is tied down to something that was never really there. I wanted a way out. In many ways. I felt pressure building that I couldn't get out. I knew it would happen one day but my delusions stopped me from being on both feet when it did happen. Life isn't fair. I know. My best friend and really the only friend got cancer. He was gonna move worlds with the way he worked but... hit a wall. And I just couldn't stop to think why it couldn't have been me instead or why did it happen to him... he was the only real friend i had. Yeah I talked to people in person but no one would guce a shit outside of the necessary interactions with me. He did. She did. I hope she did. I've helped people get out of the emotional situations I'm in but never really felt like i needed or would ever need my own life line. But there I was. A shaken soda can. It hurt being that way. I was and still kinda am used to talking to myself but I wasn't enough. I needed someone to listen to me. Like how I listen to other people. Like how I listen to her... I didn't know what to do. I was and still am alone. I'm more socially awkward now because of her... I feel down but motivated at the same time. Kinda in a limbo. I tried to love again and it brings me back. I'll never love again. I guess that's ok. We all have that one thing we can't do anymore... she ruined it for me... it's ok. As long as she's happy, right? Yeah... yeah. God I wish I could restart life... I really need it. I've made every mistake I could. Literally. And the never being able to love again thing hurts. I'm like that one guy God cursed to live forever or that one guy rolling up the bolder up the hill. The further I get Into it I feel like I'm going to reach some satisfaction but It falls back down.thw further I get into it the more repetitive it gets. The more meaningless it all gets. God I'm happy I met That amazing woman. But. I wish I never did you know. I wonder how I would have been if I just did everything right. If I had a reset in life.
I'm sitting right now at my desk, it's 11:26 at night and I haven't even taken a shower yet. I slept in the afternoon and now i'm just chilling on my phone. A workout video is waiting for me on my tv for whenever I decide it's time
Nights always make me feel like time has stopped. The world is over for a second before we have to get up and do it again. sometimes it's weird looking around because you realize that you are alive and there are things around you that just exist.
Times like this always make me reflect on things I was too busy too think about in the day. One of the things I was thinking about was how I wouldn't consider myself pretty, and how my last 2 boyfriends must have been desperate. "I will be pretty some day." I tell myself, but as I inch closer to adult hood, I fear this day wont come. It's sad, but it's the reality of staying awake at this hour. You start to think things and end up hurting your own feelings, making you feel even more pathetic. You start worrying and having such philosophical thoughts to the point that it scares you.
The reality of the human experience.
Even if reality decides to face you in the middle of the night, even if life sucks on it's own, even if the world is falling apart outside, i cannot describe how magic is to listen to these music on those moments.
It feels like everything stopped and you finally have time to think about your choices, your future or you own life as a whole. And that feeling actually scares me.
It's when you finally realize that you are yet living and all of this is actually real.
I just find interesting that even in these moments, people still love music and that's what almost makes it feels that everything was worth it.

I'm not depressed anymore. But the familiar, warm feeling of loneliness, and hopelessness accompanied by staring into the abyss, woke up by this kind of music, scares me. It's too comfortable.
But I don't want to be depressed anymore. It's like giving up.
Sometimes I read the comments and it's not that I like we are all in pain, however it's very connecting, we all had fuckin wild heart breaks, disease encounters, and countless stories that no one would ever fucking believe you cuz it's just so damn wild that something like" that "could happen to a person, it hurts knowing that's why you keep everything inside, because you just think no one will believe it due to the intensity, you aren't a "pick me " person. Just hurting. And it's nice to know none of us are hurting alone on this massive planet.
We shouldn't be experiencing pain but eh what are we gonna do about it, we all fucked up and made mistakes . Some of ours are so damn close to each other yet we still wouldn't believe the story.

I keep running away from love when it’s all I’ve ever wanted. I know that I’m young and that there’s probably someone out there for me but how many times am I gonna have to be hurt to find them? I’m starting to feel like it’s not worth it and I should stop searching. I keep getting hurt and it’s ruining me, I’m failing school, mental health is horrible, physical health is horrible, and my social life feels like it’s crumbling. I have people I talk to but all of them talk bad about me and never include me in anything. My mom sees me as a disappointment and my brother hates me. I don’t know what I should do or how. I keep moving on but I don’t know why, I just wanna be held and loved sometimes but I can never seem to have that, don’t even remember the last time I’ve been hugged. Life is unfair and things can’t always go your way but nothing has went my way, I don’t even feel sad anymore I just feel empty, I don’t feel happy or angry, I’m never frustrated, I’m kinda just there. Even when my loved ones pass away I can only give a blank stare at the information given to me, I don’t know how to react and I don’t know why I can’t react to it. I don’t know what to do with my life, I don’t know the next step I should take, I feel like I’ve tried everything. People tell me all the time things get better but nothing has been getting better, I’ve stopped opening up to people because they always tell me the same things and it never seems to help me feel better so I find it useless letting everything out, but keeping everything inside is killing me. I don’t know what to do anymore. I just want someone to love me.

This song surely doesn't make you feel happier, but neither necessarily downhearted. It just removes the heaviness you hold and rather fills you with emptiness. That emptiness bring out thought that seem endless. And now you just sink into your thoughts. You are thinking. And you feel like that moment has stopped. Like the time is not passing by.
