had Vingegaard and so on a few meters away from me yesterday. Im from Galicia and O Gran Camiño (The Great Way) should be called O Gran Vingegaard (The Great Vingegaard). Vingo is unique here. Gotta say that the suffering of cyclists is so admirable. 4 rainy days in O Gran Camiño, but yesterday was torrential rain all day long, and there they were, my hats off (and true love and admiration) to them. They make me feel emotional 'cos of their capacity to sacrifice. Then you watch all those NBA prima donnas winning lots of money and doing nothing in the all-star and....

@@gcnracing hello Dan! Yes, I did. I am from Pontevedra and it was the day of the constant torrential rain, even my umbrella didn't help me from getting wet. I recorded some videos, and have other videos friends sent me. One of them lasts 20 seconds but truly shows the tough conditions in which they were riding, yet they passed so fast in a plain part of the road.... Cheers

The landscape of O Gran Camiño looks surprisingly like that of Denmark, except for all the uphill/downhill stuff. It feels very homey :)
I love how Jonas seemed unfazed by the weather in Camino. And his crazy performance on stage 3 is definitely worth watching. 💪
After seeing Jonas descend like a demon, O Gran Camino organisers must be furious about the neutralised TT

@noud1 I'd guess they're pretty happy with the racing that did happen and the high level of riders who participated. Brings greater publicity. I think it was better to play it safe for the opening TT than risk favorites crashing out the first day. But indeed, the demon descending was a surprise. I wonder if that was planned, or he just saw an opportunity.

Vingegaard winning all stages last year was remarkable. This year it is even more impressive. Stronger competition. Super bad conditions (while he is better in warmer conditions). Mediocre team for Visma standards. Last stage was cut in lenght and he still won.
I am not sure what to say but I dont think anybody comes even close to him when it come to stage races and is commited.
RIP Racepass/GCN+, I used to be a Tour de France watcher, GCN+ got me hooked on all these other races and now I feel I'm back to square one.
Thank you Dan and GCN for the wrap up as usual. So good in the absence of GCN+
man it would have been nice to be able to actually watch these races on GCN plus.... big F for the idiots in charge that got rid of it.

It’s great to see Egan Bernal recover his form in the early part of this season. Rooting for him to keep up this look and eventually contend for some stage wins.
I refuse to pay monthly for HBO Max + another monthly fee for sports when I just want cycling coverage, so thank you for posting this.
Why dont you support your sport? HBO Max have a huge roster of races for less than $20 a month. Cycling won't survive if broadcasters don't see the interest.
@@2011hwalkerI did, when GCN+ was stand alone for $60/year. I even bought a Fire Stick to watch it on my TV. Warner is lumping it in with all the other sports now, which have a much higher rebroadcasting fee. I don't want to pay the NHL if I'm not watching it. I was happy to pay for HBO Max when it was $14.99/month. Then they raised the price. Then they took away 4K and said you had to pay $20 for that privilege. Now they want another $10 for sports? I wish cycling would get their shit together and have one place that I could watch races. All the different orgs making separate TV deals. In the US, there are at least three services I need to subscribe to now and its stupid.
@@2011hwalkerit's extremely inconvenient because it's live coverage only. Video on demand is the only way most of us can watch the races due to either the time difference or because we have to work. I personally will not pay for something I can't use. 🤷♀️
@@dawnc5797 Hi! I subbed to Max recently to watch cycling and have been able to watch replays of most of the races. I'm not sure if every single one will be available as a replay, but it looks like most are so far! I am in the same boat as you where I can't catch any of them live due to work etc.

UCI & UAE need to review their concussion protocol. There's no way Adam Yates should have been allowed immediately back on his bike. Everyone watching the coverage knew it was a concussion

Vingegaards Camino numbers are comparable to his form at Dauphiné last year.. this is either really scary or a problem 😊

HELP!! Anyone in the US figure out how to continue getting cycling? I've seen some on Flobikes but it's very restricted on coverage.

I’m long on RUclips comment record hating WVA’s Red Bull lid. But here it marked him out to the others like they ellow jersey does in the tour. I’ll admit everyone chasing him marked out the whole race, let Jorgensen and Tratnik slip away while they think they are marking the guy to beat.
Any idea when we are supposedly getting our refund for the GCN+ subscription? I thought it was automatic?

Hi Darren. I presume the subscription was done through Apple? All other subscriptions have been refunded, but we are having real trouble getting apple to even START issuing refunds. All we can do is continue to press them, but they have a history of long delays in similar situations. Dan
I got mine very promptly, but I set up a direct debit from the bank, so it was paid into my bank account.
@@gcnracingyes, via Apple. Sorry to bring it up in this thread but it’s been frustrating. Clearly from the comments here other payment methods are being refunded so it does appear to be an Apple thing. I will press also.

Inios weren't around in 2010!
With the difference that Skyneos had the biggest budget by far back then. They secured victories by outspending the opponents, on top of having the best stage race rider.
With today's fairly equal budgets for the top 3 teams (UAE + the aformentioned), Visma should not stay this dominant over time, provided the other teams are well managed.

Just Hilarious how you guys and the rest of the press never says anything about this kind of team wide performance in your reporting until the police get involved.

Because cycling is sports and in sports then it's very common for a single team to dominate or at least win more than other teams? It is also usually the same handful of players that win in tennis, in football then you will typically find a core of the same teams in the Champion's League, in F1 Red Bull is ruling now and before them then Mercedes dominated for 7 years. Visma and UAE have most of the top tier riders on their teams. Why are you surprised that they are winning? UAE haven't even unleashed their strongest weapon yet.
