The screw driver tip on the can opener makes a very good Phillips driver, and the tip of the nail file works well on those tiny Phillips screws on electronics. Filing a very tiny flat on the tip of the nail file makes it work even better on tiny Phillips screws. Just two or three passes with the file, don't over do it. The cadet has abed a daily EDC for me for a few decades now, with only the Victorinox classic as an accompanying tool. With those two, I don't carry any other knife.
The nail file I wouldn't recommend even trying to use on anything else but it's intended use with the exception of soft plastic! The tip is good on small Philips screws in toys or remotes etc ? This is a very good model to edc and I have done. I personally carry the recruit model as I have a minichamp on mykey's.
@@RockyMountainEDC I'm sorry I don't have the link anymore, but there is a US suspension clip for $12 vs the Chinese knockoffs for about .80 cents each and they seem identical.
Be careful with the Chinese ones. Many are sold as stainless steel, but they're actually a zinc alloy. As soon as you put any tension on them, they snap. I've had both steel and zinc from different sellers using the exact same images and details and there is no way to tell until it's in your hand and crumbles.
hi i just got one, cause i didn´t have an 84mm, fits in my "wallet" great, the file is a bit noise so don´t use it in croudy areas ja, i like it for light edc. regards
I love my Cadet, but what would make this model perfect for my EDC would be to swap the can opener for a pair of scissors.

always wanted Victorinox to switch to D2. Oh, also look for the Chinese suspension clips for the key ring ... game changer
Thanks for sharing !

@@scipio7837 No the Chinese ones snap like soap. Had one.
I like that one!
Thank you very much for reviewing this cadet knife. The file reminds me of the Leatherman file better than nothing but not bye much

*Victorinox Cadet Perfect Size Awesome Edc Pocket Tool Knife.*
Woah!
No scissors ✂️, not good
Edc should be worn on a belt. A good quality sharp sheathed blade
EDC should be carried however the carrier wants to carry it.
@@SD_Marc up your ass?
I'll carry my blade however I want
