- Did you know that in the Inside Out 2? In the movie, Riley's favorite girl group has a trend of red hair highlights. Inspired by the group, Riley dyes her hair red too. Interestingly, one muslim member of the group wears a headscarf, and it's not shown if her hair is dyed. To match the group's style, she wears a red cloth underneath her headscarf.

As someone who sees her friends getting abused and threatened because she didn't want to wear it, I hate how the Western world (specially USA) glorify it.
These movies make it even more difficult for girls and women who refuses to wear it.
@@genzi78514Yes, that is the unfortunate nature of cultural representation, and geopolitics. There are always two sides that could be considered equally important that conflict with one another. But that’s the problem with our world, you can’t make everyone happy. In this case, we want to respect cultures and be inclusive, but at the same time, we risk upsetting people such as your friend.
Like putting dreadlocks on an African-American character. One group is happy for the representation, while another group views that as a stereotype.
I’m sorry to hear about your friend, and I hope they can find people, such as yourself, who accept their life choice.
@@genzi78514rather than glorifying, it's more like representation. i'm sorry for what your friend is going through but you know that doesn't apply to everyone right? while you may feel upset for them, others who have made wearing a hijab their choice may feel appreciated. can't exactly satisfy everyone, especially when it's not even a part of the movie's plot point.
Why is everyone hating on him for not knowing what hijab is as Muslim it’s ok if he doesn’t know
No one is hating on him, they're just informing him what it is. If I didn't know something about somebody else's culture or religion I'd like to be informed about it.

It’s not :) where does it say that?? You should only wear hijab if you truly want to, if you’re just wearing it and not liking it one single bit and just because you were forced to, that ruins the entire purpose and meaning of the hijab. It‘s annoying me. I divorced with Muslim husband, because he cheated on me with 17 girls. I uncovered my hijab and stayed it with him.
I took all my things from his home, I stayed there only Quran and hijabs and said „ if covered-Muslims women like to have intimate things with married men, I will not wear it“
I am learning the Islam, learning Arabic language, but the trauma gets me. I believe in God and etc, only I don’t wear hijab.
So, girls, don’t say that believing Muslims wear hijab. Believing is in your souls, not in your outfits

Woah, more diversity
It's insane how a symbol of oppression and obedience has become a symbol of "allowing people express themselves". It's like women fighting for their right to be hit by their husbands, similarly as bad. It's insane.
It’s the women that came to the west, acquired some privilege our laws give them, and starting spreading lies, saying it’s not oppression.
When we ask them: “If you didn’t want to wear it, could you show your hair?”
Their answer is never “yes” but “I don’t want to”
It speaks volumes about their real situation.
Oppressed women on their knees besides their husbands that hold more rights than them.
I saw it while watching the movie and i thought it was so nice
❤️️
Uhm i am muslim and i am pretty sure they are allowed to show their hair, but it depends, if the husband doesn’t want for his wife to show her hair than she should always cover her hair. When i get married, I won’t force my wife to wear hijab
maybe it's like that in your country because it's secular, where religion is not in the first place. and in countries like the emirates, egypt, iraq, libya, etc., countries that are religious and therefore all religious things are put in the first place. i mean, if you are a muslim but live in a SECULAR country, you naturally can not cover yourself. that's why there are so many muslim people all over the world who go uncovered and do not live according to islamic rules, simply because they don't want to/or (most likely) they live in a secular, non-religious country.
you have to cover your hair as a woman in islam. children don’t have to until they hit puberty.
