I had some nasty malware yesterday called " Chronium ". it took over my browser, changed all my browser settings, logged me out of chrome, and it kept trying to connect to a server somewhere. After watching one of your videos from a while back, I used a programme that you recommended called rouguekiller and that got rid of it as malwarebytes wasnt detecting it, so I would just like to say thank you for that. Also, the malware came from an android player called Nox player. It worked fine until I updated it it which is when the infection started so thanks again Britec!!

So I have this old HP laptop that has a bunch of old applications from 2010, 2011. Obviously like 90% of those old app servers are compromised and filled with malware now because they’re out of date.... Well there was this Atheros Installer that I tried uninstall from the system but it gave me the option to install first which was weird, now my pc has an out of date installer and its been compromised by a french malware that has denied me any permission to remove applications and terminate certain malwares hiding themselves as windows or system files.. Or else my anti malware apps cannot even detect them because they’ve recoded themselves. What should I do???

Kaspersky gives you an option to leave malwarebytes installed if you install Kaspersky after malwarebytes. I'm not sure if malwarebytes is installed first then Kaspersky. I have that setup on 3 PC's
@@ollychap1985 probably because it seems that Kaspersky does not like any other protection installed. Whenever I installed Kaspersky alert giving you option to uninstall. Avast and a few others do not do that.

When it comes to uninstalling the programs and deleting sketchy files, I'd rather use some third party tools like Revo Uninstaller, instead of built-in ones to make sure that the nasty stuff gets completely nuked. Only thing I'd would be to use some more virus/malware/whatever removal programs just to be safe. Btw, I have a problem with HitmanPro, I used it once and it worked fine. Now it scans the system and everything, but it doesn't remove anything as it says that the trial has expired (I had previously removed pretty much all traces of it from the system, but perhaps I've forgotten something). Any help asside from actually buying it or using a cracked version which would probably give more viruses than it would remove.

Same with computers who are infected with malware and viruses for the reason the user logged on to sites with dirts like porn and played with dirty bootlegged software - for whatever reason. And if your PC is compromised the only way to go is reformat the hard drive and reinstall Windows 10. The process is somewhat tedious but treat it as penance for polluting your computer with dirt. Commercial virus and malware removers do not totally clean your system. To be safe from malware and viruses, boot and use Linux distro instead of Windows 10.

Sophos home covers normal protection as well as ransomware protection etc. At this time of posting, it's currently half price and you get 10 licenses Above all else, ensure you have adequate backups both online and offline Also verify that you have only the files that you need on your computer. Double check every email you receive and be sure to check sender addresses and hover over links so you can see where they go to, as this is one of their main methods of attacks Hope this helps! :)

This removal process was pretty easy compared the the days of Windows XP and Windows 7. That is due to Windows 10 being hard to infect.

Dude, download malwarebytes & adwarecleaner from malwarebytes, do the full scan + the root kit scan on the malwarebytes antivirus, then u should be ok

From the looks of it the free version of hitman will scan and clean your system only once. If you want to use it more you will have to buy it.

Not much point if you have encrypted files and you don't have a decryption tool. If you do, then you can cleanup system and decrypt files.
