This was literally one of the best things I've seen involving the Shadow. I love how you made him feel otherworldly while still making it feel like it was grounded in reality. Honestly, this is how a Shadow movie should be handled. Keep up the great work as always!!!
Same,I enjoyed it. I do miss the 94 movie's sorta phasing in and out of visibility version of the fights but still, the no show works here well. I hope your future efforts with the shadow you are able to hire a few money-shot effects, like a flowing unreal cape, etc. Good work and looking forward to more.

I really enjoyed this. I love how you effortlessly transported The Shadow to the modern era without sacrificing anything that fans love about the character--unlike, say the wretched James Patterson novel that appropriated the character and then screwed him all up. Also, are we supposed to think that the terrified female flunky who fled the office was actually the Paymaster? If so, The Shadow got played, and that sets up Round 2! Lack of budget is the great problem of all film and cinema my friend, carry on my good fellow and don't give up! I can tell by your dedication alone that this is truly awesome. I also love that you came up with a whole new villain for the shadow to fight. Also the Alec Baldwin shadow is great, but correct me if I'm wrong wasn't there also a much earlier The Shadow? Like in the 50s or something like that? I mean I'm aware the stories are older but I thought there was a movie or a show or something like that from much earlier.
@@blinky500 I thought so. I'd love to see the shadow fight fantomas. They're from near the same time period if I'm not way off. The idea of the Shadow being an enemy of Doctor Mabuse came to my mind as well.
You somehow outdo yourself every time. Each new video becomes my favorite until your next one. I honestly didn't see that ending coming and I only want more!
This is how the 90s movie should have been like. Not the corny dialogue. A good blend of the radio and pulp Shadow. Great work for a shoestring budget. Looking forward to the next episode!

Amazing stuff, as always. Felt weird that you set it in modern times. I'm so used to the film with Alec Baldwin. I felt it was more fitting in the classic era. All in all, this was still great. Hope you continue the story.
Did you know The Shadow was one of Batman's mentors? The Shadow wanted him to be his successor, but he saw him as a failure because of his no killing code

The only 2 things I'd have done differently is set it in the art deco roaring 20s as more of a noir, film it in B&W(except Red), and more scenes with Lamont Cranston. But ik all too well, budget is a cruel mistress.
Yeah the lack of budget would not lend itself to the roaring 20s. As for more Lamont scenes, I intended to show him with a wonderful twist in future installments. But nobody seems to be donating to the gofundme. So it’s probably not gonna happen.
As someone who wants to start reading The Shadow in comics and don’t know where to start, what would you recommend? Some classics from the old days or new stories for modern audiences? 🙏
honestly, it's dealer's choice. he's been pretty consistent over the years. i guess it comes down to whether or not you can handle the older style of writing, or you want something more grounded.
The day you decide to do a crossover film where the shadow meets either dick tracy, darkman, or even the green hornet (AND,NO, NOT the seth rogen version) will probably be the greatest crossover film you've ever done.

OK not to discredit this fan film because it is great don't get me wrong, but what exactly are the Shadow's powers and why is he kinda bad at using them considering he was very easily duped at the end.
he was duped because he was under the impression the paymaster was a man. it's male hubris. paymaster made everyone beneath her think she was a guy, to avoid capture, and it worked.
3:29 How did he touch the guys shoulder then? Was he making himself invisible in the room because if he was, why was he talking to him on the phone then?
