Cozy sketching in a cozy house wearing a cozy sweater is the dream. Love to see that you're watching the videos by the way, Uncomfy! If it wasn't for you maybe I wouldn't even have started drawing seriously.
I honestly don't like cozy stuff. And I really can't deal with it when making art. I need high energy bullshit. When I am drawing I listen to Machine Girl at a deafining volume. Keeps the evil thoughts away you know?
This right here, is a sketch book. This is what they’re about! I think when I was younger I used to confuse a sketch book with an art book. You’ve probably seen them on RUclips, artists giving a tour of their “sketchbook” full of beautiful fully rendered art. both are so great, but I think a sketchbook like this is for the reps. Combined with things that interest you to make it fun. Recently I started ceramics, and the biggest thing for my improvement was just making the cylinder, the foundation of forms in pottery, over and over. Anyways rant over, I could keep going 😅, loved watching your tour!
Yes! To me sketchbook is a place for exploration, experimentation and just having fun. It can totally be for making fully rendered art too, but once it starts to feel too precious, the sketchbook essence is lot to me.
Really enjoyed seeing your sketchbook! Reconnecting, concentrating on animal/ natural/ organic forms with more suggested surroundings -- for sketchbooks, painting, finishing models. Your use of master copies and working through figure books is a helpful suggestion for warming up and learning, less what one wants to do, more what one wants to learn about techniques. I need to reward several hours of work on grad school papers with drawing sessions either under 30 minutes or under 60 minutes.
Asarohead. Great video, I like the pacing of your videos. Calmness over too much excitement. For me its so fascinating/satisfying to listen to another artist explain their process. Look forward to seeing the next sketchbook review :)
Awesome! Thank u so much for watching! If you haven’t seen there are other sketchbook tours on the channel and Im working on the 5th part at the moment:)
Wow, this is so inspiring! I even made myself a little note and am going to try that thing with drawing a goldfish from different angles! And other stuff! I just recently realized that I need to draw something 5 times to get some understanding of the volume of the object haha
@@meandidraws my biggest obsession is art and games so I have to play them both or else I'll feel bad about the other. Iykyk Great seeing your art journey and love to hear it
This is extremely inspirational, you’re very skilled and your hard work shows 😁 How long have you been drawing for? Btw ArtWOD rocks the program singlehandedly skyrocketed my skills! I found this video from your post in the Discord channel, great to see another member!
@@viggyvodka thank you! I’ve been drawing seriously for around 800 days at this point. And yes Artwod has boosted my skills soooo much too! Def my favorite art learning platform.
Thank u! Other then some domestika courses, I havent done much. I’ve done done Sorie Kims, Even Amudsens, atauls and a few other domestika courses. I’ve also learned a lot of art books, especially the framed series by marcos matteu mestre and bridgman books. You can check out my art book tour 2024 video for more info on that:)
Thnx, first part is stylefile marker sketchbook, second part is the same i think, third part is a random sketchbook that my mom gave me and fourth is also unknown cheap sketchbook. All of them were cheap and under 10 eu.
Thanks so much man. I been struggling to find new ways to study and I think this is perfect. Are you going straight in with pen after you draw a box? Also, what pen is that? These look great, so much improvement since you first started your channel
"Sketchbooks are just cozy," says cozy man in cozy sweater.

Awesome! Its so cool to hear that its inspiring for you. And yeah drawing something many times from different angles is sooo effective.
Wow! This is so cool to see. It's really nice to see the ''path'' of your art. Funny cuz it was gesture and construction first for me.
Glad you enjoyed it! And thats interesting that u started with gesture haha
Dang! These are awesome! I really need to start looking at doing these kinds of exercises!
Thank you! What exercise you want to start doing the most?
I'm also healing with videogame time as a reward for drawing and using a sketch book as a cozy escape I can learn from
Haha im not alone lol!
